FULL DISCLOSURE, I wasn't blown away by the food. It was tasty enough, and shockingly affordable, considering it's healthiness, but it just wasn't anything that made me stand up and take notice. Also, they packed my warm wrap in a tupperware with my cold Caesar salad, which caused the salad to wilt and get wet. I went with the Rocky Balboa wrap, (Grilled chicken breast, turkey meatballs, part skim mozzarella and marinara in an herb wrap), which was just ok. I feel like it should've been meatballs OR chicken breast, as they kind of canceled each other out somehow. My wife got the Godfather, (Grilled chicken breast, portabella mushrooms, red roasted peppers, part skim mozzarella, gluten- and fat-free balsamic vinaigrette, served over broccoli), which looked amazing, and got better reviews from the misses. BUT, where Muscle Maker earns a star is their customer service. We had a code for $25 off at MMG, but when we got there, there was some kind of snafu with the code, and creating an account, etc, etc, and the young lady at the counter not only apologized for a situation that she didn't cause and did nothing wrong in, but she comped the food for us. It's a breath of fresh air in this dog eat dog, squeeze every dollar from the consumer, price gouging, recession-y times we are in. I will 100% be returning, and make sure I make a big order to balance the universe. I can't speak to the building interior, (wife ran in to get the food,) but the outside wasn't over impressive; it's in a very unassuming strip mall on Rt 42. The menu is pretty large, and things are priced below what you'd expect to pay for healthier food. Actually, you'd pay more for unhealthier food. They have an under 400 calorie entree section that is all $6.99. That's unheard of. Like I said, I'll be back, and even if they are just slightly more healthy, and slightly less expensive, with still good taste, it's a no brainer to go here more often. I have no problem with how the food taste. it's good. I do have a problem with how the sides are listed on the menu. I ordered 2 rocky balboa wraps. My two sides were spinach and pasta salad. They have a section for upgraded sides spinach is not listed in that section. Was charged an extra 1.00 For spinach. I let the employee know how as a customer would I know that. She said by the asterisk next to it. I let her know where on the menu does it state it. She said sorry. It should state it on the menu so the customer knows. read more

I was in search of a healthy meal for my aunt who is following a strict healthy and whole foods diet to promote energy/cancer-fighting. This menu has a lot of chicken and beef options, but not much for anyone who's vegetarian/vegan/other meatless groups. There's also 0 (zero) quinoa which I found surprising seeing as though quinoa is an excellent plant-based protein and protein plays an integral role in "muscle-making". Note to the owner: please consider making quinoa a menu option..it's a popular food choice among us diners. Also, kale would make a great addition to the hot wraps/sandwiches and stir fry options. I ended up ordering the chicken teriyaki stir fry entree minus the teriyaki sauce (because my aunt is avoiding soy products). The guy who took my order was very nice and extra helpful. He explained they have a signature "chipotle-esque" sauce that was used as a substitute in place of teriyaki sauce, and I also added broccoli and spinach in the stir fry. My aunt was satisfied with meal but said the flavor was definitely lacking ...I tried it and agreed. She doctored it up with some sauce she already had in the fridge. read more

Recently I've started to search for some healthy but tasty food options in the Washington TWP area. I've passed by Muscle Maker Grill hundreds of times but never got chance to try it. I ordered the Arizona bowl and the turkey meatballs. The first thing I noticed was how much chicken I got. The flavor was really tasty, but hard the describe. The bowl was very filling and the chicken was cooked perfectly. However, the turkey meatballs were disappointing. They were quite flavorless and a bit mushy. Definitely will be back to try their other healthy options! read more

This place was really cool. I got the free mango smoothie for downloading the app and ordered the Asian seasame ginger salad. I can tell you that 5 min after finishing that food - I was literally sick to my stomach with massive diarrhea for hours. Sorry to be graphic but it killed me. I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt and not blame it on bad food. I've experienced purchasing food from places that have surpassed the expiration date due to the pandemic. Quality control is important. What I truly think it is, was that the fiber/mango smoothie was so damn pure - it contains a ton of glucose. It can trigger that. Mixed in with a raw salad - bad combo. This has been a recurrent stop for my husband and I for about two years now and as time goes on it just continues to get better! The service is great and the owner frequents the location often and is extremely personable and shows that he cares about his staff which is a great quality. They advertise healthier dining and that is what you receive at this spot. They have a turkey burger, salads, wraps and even nachos. I am always the most impressed by their fresh soups in the fall and winter while my husband swears by their chicken wraps. If you go you must try their zero carb sauce on your meal because it is so amazing that we usually get an extra side! First of all, what a great concept! Hello? Where has this been all my life?! Great tasting food that is actually good for me and may even help me lose a little weight (or gain or build muscle or whatever you need this menu of goodies for)?? They have gluten-free, vegetarian, low carb, sugar-free and even kid friendly menu items! Protein shakes and fruit smoothies. I don't normally care for any "sugar-free" as it always tastes like the fake sugar stuff. I'm here to tell you the "no sugar added" cheesecake at MMG is delish! If they use a sugar substitute, I certainly can't tell. I am finicky about my chicken and did not care for the chicken in the penne with reduced-fat vodka sauce. The sauce and pasta were delicious, however. My husband's favorite dish is the turkey chili. It is served over brown rice with reduced-fat cheese and fat-free sour cream. I like this dish as well, but my favorite is the "seasonal special" turkey chili nachos. MMG's delicious turkey chili over Beanito's bean chips with fat free sour cream, reduced-fat cheese, tomatoes and onions. We order from MMG 2-3 times per week. You can also eat inside, which we have done. One time I ordered pick up and got home to find that they had forgotten to leave tomatoes and scallions off my husband's meal as I had requested. This is a really good place for healthy, hearty, and satisfying food. I had the signature wrap and I was not disappointed at all, like many other restaurants make me with their wraps. In fact, I was extremely pleased. The customer service is very good and you feel at home even if you are a complete stranger like I was. They told us we had a free smoothie on our rewards card but the app said we didn't. They gave it to us anyway which shows how well they treat their customers. The reason it is not a 5star rating is because the cucumber salad had an extremely strong marinade that I couldn't handle. This is easily avoidable by ordering any of their wide range of free side dishes. Overall I would highly recommend stopping by the Muscle Maker Grill for some sure fire good food! read more

This place is great! The food is tasty and my favorite seems to be the Yee-haw wrap. It's definitely on the pricey side but it's worth it. Placed an order to eat inside. Received our food and started to enjoy... about 10 minutes later a female employee came into the store and walked behind the counter. While eating our meals the initial employee behind the counter started to explain; in full detail (to the coworker who seemed to be coming in to relieve his shift.) his experience with a bloody nose and vomiting all over the restroom. He Also went into full detail that the bathroom was left with blood in the sink. That's when a LINE COOK went into the back to clean up after him. After the 15 minute detailed conversation he finally left the store. Within a couple minutes a female (in blue virtua scrubs) came into the store. Now the female employee is going into the full detailed story about how the last guy had the bloody nose and vomiting experience. I couldn't take it anymore so I asked them to stop discussing it because we were trying to eat our meals and it was becoming very difficult to do so. The women behind the counter glared at me and looked away. While the women on the customer side (wearing the blue scrubs) also looked and then looked away without a word said. That's where we had enough and left our food behind to leave the store. As we walked out the door one of the two women yelled "Have a great Day" in a very snarky tone. Turning back into the store we asked to speak with the manager. The women wearing the blue scrubs said she was the manager. Throughout the entire interaction she didn't address herself as a manager until we asked to speak to one. Not once were we given an apology until we brought that to their attention. And that's when the girl behind the counter stopped the conversation and seemed to genuinely apologize. The "Manager" still just stood there. When questioned why a manager would allow that type of conversation in front of customers she replied with "I don't address my employees in front of customers." We then asked to speak to a manager above her and she instructed us to call the store during the week. At that point we realized that the "manager" we were speaking to had little to no empathy about the situation and nothing was going to get resolved. So we walked out in frustration. Our experience was very disappointing today. We already circled and selected a 10 day meal plan (totaling $79) for the two of us that we planned on ordering after we finished our meal. While I'm writing this review my boyfriend just ordered our next two weeks of meal plans through CleanEatz. While on the phone he received excellent customer service with a competitive price. read more

I have known this place had existed for a long time and never ordered from there. I decided to try it the other night only to be very disappointed. But only in the fact that I had not ordered from this place before because it was awesome! I ordered an Arizona Bowl the bowl had in a bed of brown rice it was loaded with tasty chicken, turkey bacon, tomatoes, scallions and an amazing LOW CARB sauce. I love the theme of this restaurant- HEALTH. There need to be more restaurants like this, with vegetarian and gluten free options. Also has calorie count beside every dish. Food was delicious I got the Arizona and el mexicana entrée and boy it tasted delicious, but also clean and guilt free! The place was clean and had a bunch of flat screen TVs for you to relax and recover from your workout. The service was very good recommending popular menu items, and being completely chill when you didn't get the recommendation. They come and bring food to your table... I really enjoy this restaurant. I used to live in the area and would eat here on the way to events or after the gym. The food was always great- always fresh and warm. The people who work there are always really nice. They usually have group-ons/living social/double take deals often. I like the healthier options. I enjoy the texas wrap- a little kick but has potatoes in the wrap.. super delicious. Perfect blend of deliciousness. BBQ wrap is a close second. I moved a bit farther away and have been nervous to try the Muscle Maker near me now because I had fond memories of Muscle Maker and didn't want to ruin them. read more

I ordered from here several times and the food is great IMO. Recommend picking it up though. I placed an advanced single order around noon to have it delivered hours later. 20 minutes pasted the time it was supposed to be delivered so I called to check on it. I was advised the driver had just left 5 minutes ago for delivery (which makes it 15 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered). 20 more minutes roll around and still no food so I call again. I was told that the driver would deliver the food in 10-15 minutes. So I cancelled it. I wasn't offered anything just a simple I'm sorry. I guess it's good business to have food delivered an hour after it was supposed to be delivered and it was an order that was placed hours in advance. I have been to this specific Muscle Maker Grille several times and always had a good meal. Unfortunately, today I ordered the Balboa and the chicken had no seasoning and just didn't taste right. I informed the gentleman in the front and he shrugged his shoulders in a bothered way and told me I shouldn't have taken more than 1 bite before complaining. I told him I took 2 bites in an attempt to like the wrap, I had it before and it tasted significantly different. He reluctantly offered me another sandwich but I said no thank you. Just a suggestion. If you have a good customer and they give feedback on your food, take that as an opportunity to make things right without showing displeasure. read more

Great food. I have been going to the MMG in Turnersville since they opened in 2009. As great as the food is, what has always made this place stand out to me (and the reason I choose to eat here on average 3 days a week) is the staff. They always have the nicest staff. They say hi, bye, thank you, and have a nice day. They are always welcoming and friendly. I'll admit I was very skeptical ordering from here last night (4/24/14) but I am very glad we did. The staff was nice and our food was ready at the time they gave us over the phone. I had the MMG Signature wrap with cucumber salad, and corn chowder soup while my buddy had the Cajun Chicken Penne. Everything was extremely good and tasted very fresh. I wanted to give them 5 stars but considering I've only eaten from here once I'll add or take away from the rating several meals from now. But for a great tasting meal that is on the much healthier side I would definitely be back and recommend this to anyone. I just wish there was one around Newark, DE close to work. Joe and Danica have a homerun with MMG. The food is awesome, they always have great specials, and their delivery is fast! I'm a cheesesteak/pizza/wings guy, so I'm not one to sacrifice taste for anything. But eating at MMG, I still get great food that's actually good for me.
