We stopped by for drinks and fortunately there was a lot of seating available on a weekday night. I ordered their version of a Bellini and my husband ordered their Oregano. Both drinks were recommended by the staff and overall the drinks were decent. The bellini was a bit too sweet for me. They have quite an extensive drink menu so there's definitely options for everyone. Presentation of the drinks was pretty simple for such a well recognized bar.
Wonderful bartenders and excellent cocktails! Downside is that it can get busy with tourists but if you're able to sit at the bar before it gets busy earlier in the day then it's much more enjoyable. My favorites were the Orégano and Vicuña. The Orégano was earthy with the hint of oregano that added a nice subtle savory element. The Vicuña was tropical while fruity but not overly sweet. Service was great and cool vibe too.
This is a fun bar to try and listed as one of the top 50 bars by Condé Nast I believe #32 it said. So to order drinks you do have to order a food item, so make sure to come with an appetite. Walkable to other restaurants, this bar is near a park that has great miniature water boats, statues and scenic spots.
The vibes are definitely on point! Great music, friendly hosts, and super sweet bartenders. The energy is fun and lively without feeling overwhelming. Perfect spot for good drinks, great service, and a solid night out. The best part is tacos orinoco is practically next door for some food after you cap the night
Was very excited to check this bar out while in the city for a long weekend. I snagged a reservation for 4 people on Saturday night at 9:30. Upon arrival we were taken up the spiral staircase to our table on the second floor. Our server brought us the menus and gave us a bit of a run down before giving us a few minutes to decide. The menu booklet was very fun and original and all the drink options seemed very creative. I honestly cannot remember what we ordered but we were happy with our choices. The ambiance of the bar was incredibly lively and the DJ just could not have been better. Every song was a bop and it made me really wish that there was a dance floor. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!
I can't speak to the quality of food here, but all of the cocktails that my party tried were amazing. We saw this place on a list of the 50 best bars and definitely appreciated the uniqueness of the cocktail menu. I tried the Oregano and maintain that it was the best cocktail I tried during my visit to CDMX. Other people tried the Mezcal margarita, Mr. Pink, and the Rosita de Mezcal (another high scorer in our group) of what I can recall.
Amazing bar in Rosa Norte part of Mexico City! Every cocktail we had was exceptional and they had a few special cocktails when we were there like a mango con chile which is a take on the street mango with chamoy and tajin. Reservations are definitely hard to come back so would recommend to book early. We had a late reservation but they actually were so nice to accommodate us early since we finished dinner early. Suggest sitting at the bar because the bartenders are great to talk to and get more insights into the place and drinks!
This is a fantastic bar that should be a standard of what a bar can aspire to achieve. It's currently almost on top of the prestigious 50 Best Bar list and it deserves it's high spot. Get your reservations in advance because it's popular for a reason. There will be a line when it opens and tables fill fast. Ask to sit at the bar even if you're asked to sit at a table because sitting at the bar is so much more fun! The menu is well constructed consisting of a themed seasonal section and a classic house cocktail list. Bring a friend or two and order as many as you can because each is fantastic. Try their tequila and mezcal variations even if you don't like those spirits. They're the best on the menu and might just convert you. I've been to most of the bars at the top of the 50 Best Bar list. This is easily the best bar in Mexico City despite the current rankings. It's an essential visit if you want to appreciate flavors.
The Licorería Limantour venue is a small intimate bar in a relatively central location. The menu has a range of cocktails to choose from, as well as mezcals and tequilas. We sat at the bar as it was a busy evening. Usually this would be my preferred seating, because you l get the chance to see all the cocktails being prepared and the opportunity to interact with the mixologists. Well, this was definitely not the experience I got The mixologist seemed very aloof and not all that interested in interacting. The cocktails were okay.
We were really looking forward to visiting this bar with friends to celebrate my partner's 40th birthday, but the cocktails we ordered were mostly disappointing. The menu we received had some really interesting concepts, with many of the cocktails being food-based. Feeling adventurous, I ordered the "chorizo verde" cocktail, but to my disappointment, it came with a bunch of greens as garnish and tasted nothing like chorizo verde. Similarly, my partner's Champurrado came with a lump of whipped cream that overpowered the entire drink. We did receive a cake on the house to celebrate the birthday so that was a very nice gesture. But if you are looking for a place to enjoy some great cocktails, stop by Handshake or Rayo instead.
We visited Limontour for a couple of drinks prior to our dinner reservation. The appetizers were good, and the drinks were both creative and interesting. We were able to get seating outside, which was nice. We started with the Patatas Bravas. They were very crispy, nicely salted, and delicious. They were a perfect, small snack to go with our drinks. For cocktails, we tried the Champurrado and Beso de Angel. The Champorado was a strong, chocolate-based drink, similar to an iced hot chocolate but made with tequila instead of Kahlua. It had a rich flavor that paired well with the kick from the tequila. The Beso de Angel was sweet and had chunks of the ice cream (Beso de Angel) at the bottom of the drink, which added an interesting texture. Overall, the cocktails were unique and enjoyable, but they felt more like a one-time experience rather than something I'd order again. Limantour is a great place to try some unique and intriguing drinks. We would love to come back and try their vast selection of distinctive cocktails.

Mexico City has a reputation for having some of the world's best bars. Their location in Roma, Mexico City, was ranked #52 in the world and in the top 10 in North America. While we didn't book the acclaimed Roma location, we sought out their sister location located closer to our hotel in Polanco. We were required to purchase an appetizer to go with our drinks (maybe it's a local requirement for bars?). Got a quesadilla, which had nice flavor from meat, chile morita, and cheese, but it was tiny. Drinks were liquor forward, but balanced. We were impressed to get clear flavors from each of the ingredients of the cocktail. Was it a vibe that I'd want to enjoy again? Probably not - I personally prefer restaurants with really strong entrees and cocktails to support the food than the other way around. Nevertheless, I'm glad that I was able to visit this world renowned bar close to where I was staying. Drinks were creative, flavors were clear and assertive, but balanced. Licoreria Limantour is a cocktail bar in Mexico City that has consistently appeared on the North America's 50 Best Bars and World's 50 Best Bars lists. There are actually two locations: this one in Roma Norte (Alvaro Obregon) and another in Polanco. You can make reservations online ahead of time but we were able to snag a table for our larger party. The bar spans two stories and has a dim and lively ambiance. I had the margarita al pastor ($240 MXN) which had a really salty salt rim and I couldn't really taste the taco mix they were going for. I also had the dirty mango martini ($240) and while I couldn't really taste the mango the drink was good. The vibes were cool and I liked the drinks here. read more

This review is for the speakeasy at the back of the bar. While the bar is loud and boomy, the lounge is quiet and classy. Only a handful of tables and two dedicated bartenders. Unique creations. Handcrafted beauty. Delicious. Highly recommended. read more

This place is popular, so def make a reservation if you want to get in. And don't be late- out of respect and bc they'll give your table away. Friendly staff, loud music, cool dim lighting, fab cocktails. Lots of American tourists, but still worth checking out! ;-) Recommend! read more
Everything from making the reservation online to our name plate on the table to the impeccable food and drinks was perfect. I'd come back on my next trip in a heartbeat (loved this way more than Hanky Panky if you are trying to choose amongst the world's best bar list). My favorite was the pandan sour and fries basket with various dipping sauces. The upstairs seating next to the windows gives a great view of the street below. read more
There is a reason this is one of the top bars in the world (honestly look it up, they are ranked #7 in 2023 in the world). A reservation is highly recommended because it is pretty difficult to get a spot in here, but if you are fortunate to do so you'll be in for a great experience! The drinks are great, the atmosphere is perfect (dim lights with r&b, oldies, house, etc music), and the bartenders are very attentive and efficient at making drinks. Seriously, behind the bar they look like well oiled machines the way they craft drink, after drink, after drink without skipping a beat. Shoutout to Alfredo, we were pleased with any and everything he made and he had a cool personality to go with it. This is a must visit bar if you're in CDMX, you will not be disappointed! read more

We sat outside for people watching, which is fabulous depending on the night you go, but the chairs outside are soooooo uncomfortable just fix the sidewalk table and chair situation and it's 5 stars from us. Get the cacahuate! Its a peanut-flavored cocktail that sounds like it might be too sweet if your mind goes to peanut butter- but it isnt! It is a strong cocktail served in a short glass with one big ice cube. It tasted strong but the peanut flavor came through in the best way! This is a nice spot. It gets CROWDED! So you may have to wait. They have an upstairs and downstairs. It has a cool, fun vibe. The array of drinks were good and service was nice (a bit slow). They have unique flavors--some have mushroom lobster, and others have a kick of unique berries, peppers and mezcal. The drinks all sound fantastic! I enjoyed each of mine and the presentation was super clean. Loved it. Would recommend to try this place out when it's a bit less hectic! read more
CDMX has several world renowned bars. This spot is one of them. Without a reservation on a Friday evening in July, my friend and I got an outdoor table after waiting only ten minutes. Here's our experience: 1) Drinks: They have a large cocktail menu with a few unique cocktails on the list. I ordered a more sweet drink and it was good. The best I've had? No, not at all, but decent. 2) Space: It's two levels and when it's not raining, several tables are outside. Being along a busy street, it was very loud on a Friday night. This bar is ranked number 7 on the top bars in the entire world for 2023. And I can see why. We arrived around 7pm to a fairly busy scene. It was a monday night. Very clean interior. Bar section well lit. They have food on the menu as well. And we came in without reservations. I got the Grappa cocktail. It was nice fruity, sweet, and refreshing. One of the best cocktails I've ever had. The sweet potato fries with the four dipping sauces were addicting that we had to order a 2nd round. The place is a vibe and will be recommending this to friends that visit CDMX. read more
meh. this place was overhyped and considering it's ranked #4 out of all the bars in the world, i didn't feel like it was special at all. I didn't make reservations, and was able to get a seat outside right when it opened. We ended up getting two drinks, and i didn't think it was that special. The place got packed really quickly, and honestly not worth the time and price. While sitting outside you'll get bombarded with beggars and people selling stuff on the street. If you do want to visit this place, try and make reservations, but if you go right when it opens i think you should be fine. read more
This place was pretty cool. It is an open space with a good view of the outside very clean and well put together. The menu I was not a big fan of it is kind of hard to follow with the concept, and to be honest, I was kind of hoping for More selections. My mind is blown that I am at a bar in Mexico and they do not offer any type of margarita. With such a concept menu, you would think that they would've been able to filter something in that revolved around the margarita. Anyways, I was craving tequila so I went with the paloma , which you have the option of doing with regular Ocal. It was nice towards the end it was a bit heavy. The service was good. The gentleman was attentive, even though he even left for lunch and didn't tell me that he wasn't gonna take care of me any longer, but that's all right. I had some tacos that were ribeye. They were very flavorful kind of heavy, but I enjoyed them. All in all the place was all right. read more
