For several years I have brought things to her at the last minute for a wedding, event, etc. She always does incredible work and works with her customers if they are on a time crunch. I continue to go back every year because I get fatter(or lose weight once a decade) and I know she will make me look as great as possible. I had very high hopes for this place. I came in to get my long dress hemmed shorter and the slit to be closed up. I picked up the dress and was running short on time for my event, so I paid my $100 for the service and left to get ready. When I put on my dress, the slit was closed, but the dress wasn't even hemmed. The entire night, I was tripping over my dress. This is unacceptable. If you pay for a service, the service should be done. I will not be returning. read more

Great, fast and friendly! Walked in at 11 am with my military uniform in hand to have a patch sewn on that I needed by 5 pm to catch a flight out to a ceremony the next day. I explained the situation and she had it done within 10 minutes! A true life saver! I'll definitely be back! read more

Okay, wow. Lidia's is my new tailor for life. I needed my jacket's arms shortened and a patch put on, so I took it here. Not only was their pricing perfect, they stayed open past close to finish my item up and then gave -me- a discount for waiting! A+ service. Jacket looks great. I brought my wedding dress here a month before the wedding to have it hemmed, the bodice taken in and the train bustled. The woman who helped me was very nice and friendly. She said that was more than enough time. I'm giving three stars because I had three fittings and with every one the only thing that happened to the dress was that the hem had been cut. The Tuesday before the wedding ( which was Sunday) the dress still needed to have everything done. I was sweating it. Multiple times she said she would call me by... Only to have that day pass and I would call her two or three days after. I could see that she was busy and stressed also on top of that had a family member pass away so my heart went out to her. However I would have rather had her say she couldn't do it in time than have the stress and worry carry on fitting after fitting. And telling me the hem would be done when it wasnt. The second to last fitting she made it seem like she had taken in the bodice already and that I had lost weight, neither of which had obviously happened! and I have no idea why she pretended like that had happened other than to cover the fact that nothing had been done! In the end she told me it would be done Friday Morning- the wedding was Sunday- I had appointments all morning and asked to come in the evening, when I came to pick it up she was still working on finishing the bustle and the corset. I had to wait a half hour, keeping my grandparents who had just arrived from Florida waiting at dinner! But the kicker was that the bustle did not come up high enough and we had run out of time for her to fix it more, we were leaving in the morning! At this point I was just done dealing with this. I just paid and took the dress. It was an upsetting experience. I ended up stepping on my dress all through the reception and first dance and a guest even stepped on it an ripped it because the bustle was about four inches too long. The hem was beautiful, the top fit great, minus that there was no loop for one of the hooks. However it's because of the way it was handled and put off and there was no time left at the end to fix any problems that could have come up, which there was a problem, that I'm giving three stars. This would be a great place to bring something that you need altered professionally, so long as you don't have a deadline. Definitely not your wedding dress. read more

I took in a pair of pants with a broken zipper to have it replaced - they managed to fix it in under a minute with a pair of pliers, and didn't charge me anything. They were really friendly and helpful, and I'll definitely be taking business to them in the future. read more

I've been here twice for dress alterations. The first time, I showed up a few hours after my dress was scheduled to be ready. She needed another hour, so I just had to shop around and then went back and got it. The second time was a nightmare. As I was getting fitted, two customers came in for their items and were told that they weren't ready yet. So when I was told my dress would be ready in a week, on Monday, I assumed it would be later than that. So I went in on Thursday and it still wasn't ready. I was told to come back on Monday. I went later that week...still not ready. So finally on my third attempt, after three weeks instead of one, the dress was ready. It's clear the woman working here is just two busy. But I would have rather been told it would take three weeks from the start, instead of having to come in three times. And a phone call explaining that the item is not ready would have been great, but that didn't happen. read more
