    They (Iman the new general manager) will put you on hold for 30 mins, forget they put you on hold.

    I been going to this ZIPS for over 3 years and never had any issues. Was simple - drop off, pay, pick up. There would be occasional delay because the heat etc. where the real issues have occured for me for past week since May 17; where the following has happened: 1. 72 hour delay on drop off 2. Items are missing- missing suit jacket and pants. 3. I had to pick up items from the South Lamar location because conveyor belt was out. 4. Was told to come back and to this point there is an outstanding item. 5. I called on 5/23 and spoke for one minute to be put on hold by Imam/ Iman the new General Manager. I was waiting over 30 mins until a new staff member picked the phone up and didn't even realize that I was placed on hold. I have the screenshots to prove it. Ever since this new management has been put into place; the whole process and experience as a customer has been disorganized. ZIPS ownership if you are reading this - please feel free to reach out to me. Everything is recorded on the video cameras so you can see the footage with the dates and times. Save yourself the headache until this place gets it act together.

    botched cleaning

    ZERO CARE FOR DAMAGED ITEMS - DO NOT USE ZIPS TLDR: I have been a customer since 2016 and will never use them again as they damage items and make the customer run around while they come up with excuse after excuse. Read the many poor reviews on Google and Yelp for further evidence. Dropped off a handmade moroccan textile (5X3) to the Austin South/William Cannon location on Apr 28 with ticket that said the item would be ready for pickup on May 2. When I arrived, they said the item was "sent out" for cleaning and they needed more time (no ETA) but said to come back in a week. When I came back the week later, same story (no ETA). When I came back a 3rd time, I spoke with manager (Lori) who said they "couldn't find" the item and they were going to look for it. Came back a few days later and again spoke with Lori. She tried to deny knowledge of the situation and I pressed for resolution. She had me fill out a claim form (which was lost) and came back again only to be told they still didn't have the item. This went on for months until I came back and was told I needed to fill out another claim form. Still no answer by mid June and Lori escalated to Eman, S. Lamar store manager. At one point, I was told they had the item at S. Lamar but when I went there to meet Eman there was no item. He again had me fill out a claim form (I took a picture for evidence). On July 11, I called the store and Eman told me they found the item but it bled during cleaning. He said they would try to fix and he would call me. He never called and I picked up the item yesterday. It was totally damaged and unusable - a handmade, one of a kind textile I bought for $520 in Morocco. Eman wasn't at the store and when I spoke with him July 22 to request reimbursement, he informed me their liability was $200 (not listed anywhere on their tickets). This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. They have ZERO regard for your property, time or money. BEWARE!

    For years now I've been making the trek to Lamar for all my dry cleaning needs. I was so excited to see this new location closer to my neck of the ATX. I'm enjoying the new location. Although the price has gone up from the original amount, the prices are still low. The best part is that these guys are fast! -Big Fan:)

    The William Cannon location has lost items more than once. Unprofessional and dishonest with their response. I would avoid.

They also said it's probably ruined and that they could keep trying, but would likely not get it all & could further damage it with stain removal products. It was disheartening, as this is the jacket he wore when we got married. So it's extra special & I didn't want to give up. My daughter researched local Austin cleaners who specialize in stain removal. She discovered EcoClean. They reassured me that they would get the stain out without causing further damage and sure enough, they did! They are specialists! I'm so appreciative. Not to mention the cost was comparable to other cleaners. So there's another reason to return to them from now on!

I was told it would be ready for pickup in November. After following up in December, I was told they needed a few additional weeks due to extra cleaning required. As mid-January 2026 approached, I reached out again for an update and contacted them 4 separate times with no response. I eventually went to the store in person, where they told me it would be "a few more weeks." In February 2026, I finally picked up my dress -- and it had the exact same stains as when I dropped it off, plus new rust stains that were not there before. I immediately pointed this out. The cashier told me, "it's because you only paid for cleaning." I responded that the dress clearly wasn't clean and I didn't understand how it could look worse after being in their possession for nearly five months. I was then brushed off so they could help the next customer, denied a refund, and not allowed to speak with a supervisor. Terrible experience. Please learn from my mistake and avoid this business. Based on other reviews, I'm clearly not the only one who has had issues with their poor service and communication.
