Prices are cheap , bakery is outstanding and they have a big selection of items ( recognizably brands!!) also there is a small garden center where you can find flowers and small plants . ONLY issue I have is, I was paying in the self check out and I scanned all my items and this young lady from three cash registers over is going to yell " you have to scan those bananas " uhnm I did and I looked at her and told her I did , she said that's not what her machine was telling her . I told her to come and look at the screen which she did , stood there looked lost and turned to me and said I'm just doing what the machine is telling me .. walked away without even apologizing . I have to downgrade Lidl for a couple of reasons: They've switched the fish they carry to be heavily farmed and from Chile that overcrowds the fish so much they spray chemicals on the fish and feed them frankenfood pellets. No thank you, I pass. Their wet food recently sent my cat to the kitty hospital--Lidl kindly refunded the food, but do you want to take that risk with your pet? I find the produce to not even last week in my fridge even when the expiration date hasn't passed which didn't always used to be the case with Lidl's produce. There's just doesn't seem to be anything in here that's worth making a trip for anymore. read more

Lidl is one of my favorite stores. I love the bakery area! The store is a nicer version of Aldi. I really like the produce here but didn't at Aldi. The isles are wider and bigger here also. I love the $2 apple bags! Some of the items like (honey nut Cheerios) do not taste like typical honey nut Cheerios. We don't like those. The selection and prices are great. They do have long lines so be prepared to wait. read more

This went from being our favorite store above others. To less than zero oer the last few mos,! We do understand the lack of cashiers that is par for the course in these days we live. However, what is def NOT understandable whatsoever? Is treating any customers w rudeness & sass! We received no apology whatsoever when we attempted many times to use Lidl's point of sale card reader to no avail! The cashier was pleasant & attempted to assist, he called the "supervisor" over to help. I, in turn explained that the same thing has happened each time we've shopped @ this location. No other businesses every time we've tried to pay. Only at this Lidl's site: no other business w this issue. He offered no form of apology in fact had a "bothered by it all" attitude. He vehemently stated: "There must be something wrong w the card strip to enter the entire card # which I then did w no result. He impatiently retorted w "keep swiping", that I must be using the wrong pin". I then asked for a different mgr for help? "P" the "supervisor" He laughed & told me "there are no other managers. You go to Aldi's next time". Wow! I asked him 2 more times to speak w a diff mgr,? He just walked off & away from both the cashier & myself.I was exhausted from cardiologist testing already but needed groceries on the way home. Otherwise, I would have def left my groceries there. At this point, the kind cashier at least was helpful & called for a diff mgr, (same mgrs. "P" had just so honestly stated "did not have").Finally, A mgr showed up that did know what they were doing, I became almost livid melt down because of this happening each time. Yes, machine(s) not working properly has been aggravating. However, they are merely machines! I expect them to be cold. It would be remiss to not mention- There are quite a few employees here that have been refreshingly kind, a def asset to others! Unfortunately because of a few? We will not subject ourselves of this! My last experience to this place was terrible. We went to the market on a sunday and everything was dirty, i understand that its a Sunday but it was exagerated. We went to ask the employee if there was dog food and he said no, pretty rudly and we wnt to go get milk and on our way found an entire isle of pet supplies. when we went to the register the we waited in a line. Very nice building they have constructed here, and the cool feeling continues on the inside. It is like a bigger, better version of Aldi, I guess this is the German model of discount grocery shopping. The selection was outstanding, and I did see some familiar brands mixed in on the shelves. read more

Mama friggin loves this place. There are always unique finds here with great prices. This store works well for a mom on the go and an eclectic foodie... I know because I'm both! They have a great app with coupons that have deep discounts on foods you need and love. The non-food items are really cool too. Going on Sunday afternoon will make you run for cover - it is packed! The store is always clean and the employees are super nice. The selection is vast and you truly do save a lot of money. The produce and veggies are where you save as well! Since I've moved to a more plant based diet, this store keeps me on track. Don't get me wrong, mama still loves the meat, but the produce selection is ample and inexpensive. Enjoy your trip to lidl. I went the day of there grand opening in Raleigh. They had the shelves stocked, all check out lanes open and many staff members where available. They also had samples they passed out as you shopped. The aisles were wide enough for the traffic of the grand opening. Th store offers a wide selection of foods at very cheap prices. Many are German brands but there are some familiar brand as well. The parking lot is large so that's a plus also. I thought it would be a mad house and I'd wait in lines but I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience and will be back for sure. I didn't wait in a single line and I got a five dollar coupon for my next visit when I check out. I recommend you check it out for yourself! read more

I absolutely adore Lidl. This is my primary store for grocery shopping. I love that they have an in store bakery and you can even slice your own bread to your desired thickness (as depending on the use typically you may want a different thickness). Have most of what we need for the week as well as household items we may need. Their paper towels are far more paper and less towel (they actually crinkle when being used) so we went back to our name brand paper towels, and there's no deli which we prefer fresh sliced deli meat as opposed to packaged that's been in a vacuum packed container for who knows how long. There's a really great variety of products and some Lidl brand products we've discovered and can't live without and others we've found we will definitely not be buying again. Have actually even bought a few pieces of furniture from there (a drawer unit and kitchen cart) and both for being extremely inexpensive are very well built. Overall a great shopping experience I'm so glad I have weekly access to. read more

I'm an official Lidl fan! I've shopped here now three times and can't wait to go again next week! First off, the prices are great! Second, it's clean! Third, the parking is easy. Fourth, the quality is fantastic! I don't often feel strongly about a grocery store (Hy-Vee, please come to Raleigh), but I really love this Lidl location. I am giddy every time I leave with how much money I save shopping here. Some tips- bring your own bags, be prepared for crowds, and bring your own sanitizer wipes for your cart. The concept of Lidl is to keep stocking efforts down, limit options, and bag your own groceries so they can save you money. It's working here!!! I hope the cleanliness, organization of the store, and quality of the meat and produce stay high.... this will quickly become the only place I shop if it stays consistent! Lidl does not disappoint! They had warm baked goods, a variety of ethnic foods (in the freezer section), and a lot of home goods. Their prices are around the same as Aldis, sometimes even better in the meat section. But hands down, I appreciate their self check out section because you can make a quick trip in/out of the store. read more

This was my first trip here.. wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. On the positive, it's very clean with wide aisles. Very pleasing to walk around. However I found some serious drawbacks. I have young children so I go through a lot of juice. They sell no frozen, and limited bottles and juice boxes. Some good deals could be found, but the variety is lacking. And what they choose to stock a lot of is telling. There's a lot of floor space taken up with non food, wine and beer. And finally there's no cart corrals in the parking lot. People are supposed to return them to the door, but in this cold weather they are being left wherever. Personally it won't be my go to store. read more

This place is freezing so wear a coat. Expect long lines, and when I asked an employee for help she held up a finger to say stop talking to me I am busy. So don't expect great customer service. Lidl's has some good prices on certain things, but you might as well forget their specials. They do not ever have the specials when I go to their store. They are always out of stock. They don't have the supply or limit the number that you can buy. I think this is just a ploy to get you into the store. I have just about quit going there! read more

Lidl is very similar to Aldi but bigger and nicer I would say. With that being said, the prices are extremely reasonable. They have a large variety of wine to choose from, I believe this chain comes from Germany and has different brands of wine (and other products) that you don't normally find at your typical grocery store. If you want a cheap place to get your groceries, this is the spot for you. I enjoyed the bakery section the most. Their donuts are not as big as the once's you get from Harris Teeter but they definitely have a better taste and stay fresh for a longer time. I always get my water bottles from Lidl, I believe I pay around $1.30 for a pack of 24. Also, you can always find coupons on their website read more

I shopped at Lidl during the Grand Opening weekend. Very nice store with wide aisles. The prices for non-sale items were good. We purchased several items throughout the store to test quality. So far, I would purchase all items again. Excellent quality comparable to TJ's at a lower price. There were also several employees available to assist. I like this store so much better than the local Aldi. They have a great bakery section as you walk in, and the items are as tasty as they look! Produce is fresh with great prices. They also have a random selection of cheap household items--Tide detergent, etc. The cashiers are always friendly and very efficient. It's also a really well organized and clean store! read more
