This was the best meal of the entire trip to the Keys. Food was excellent. One of our party who shared with us got the Fiocchi di Pera dish that I had never heard of before. Wow.....have I been missing out. It is worth driving down to Tavernier just for this dish! Do yourself a favor and give this mostly savory with a touch of sweetness delight a try. I probably would not have tried it not knowing anything about it, but am sure glad I got the chance. Here's an internet description. "Fiocchi di pera are delicate Italian pasta purses filled with a mixture of sweet pears and creamy cheeses (ricotta). Often referred to as a refined dish, they are commonly served in a creamy cheese and/or butter-herb sauce, sometimes topped with nuts (almond slices.)" The pasta was tender, and the balance of flavors superb. A warm and breezy outdoor setting that I understand you can get to from the water. Our waitress was helpful, efficient and just lovely. 10 out of 10. Wish we had one of these here in Palm Beach County. read more

We came here for dinner with a group of six and sat quickly on a Friday night. We ordered mussels, bruschetta, and conch fritters for appetizers. We ordered a bunch of food for the main course, such as bolognese, seafood pasta, gnocchi, filet mignon medallions, cacio e pepe and meatballs. For dessert, we got cheesecake, cannoli, mousse cake, and babamisu. We thought the appetizers were good. As for the main dishes, they were just blah and the meatballs were absolutely disgusting. We don't know if they opened a rotten can of dog food to make them with, but we honestly wouldn't have even given them to a dog that had no taste buds. That's how bad they were. As far as the desserts, the cannoli was soft and didn't have a crunchy shell, but everything else was good. We found out the place is under the same ownership as the Italian food company in Islamorada because the food was just as blah as that place. Next time we are in the area, if we have a craving for Italian food, we'll just wait to come home to fill that craving rather than go to this place or anyplace that falls under their umbrella. We had a very nice lunch at Lido 73. It was recommended by my sister that lives in the area and was not disappointed. Not really much to see, the water view is basically a canal, but the food and service were very good !! It was a Sunday afternoon, they had a steel drum player, it really adds to the atmosphere. We had some Conch Fritters, Soup of the week and Medium Pizza, all very tasty and good portions. Add a couple of beers, Key Lime Pie and Espresso, it came out to $84.00 plus tip. FYI this place is owned by the much LARGER Italian Food Company Restaurant near by. Overall very nice experience. read more

We love coming to Lido 73 sitting on the water front back patio bar with a cool breeze. Wonderful neighborhood Italian grill with great prices and portions. The bartender suggested The meatball appetizer, grandma 100 year recipe, amazing! We also had in house baked focaccia bread chicken Parmesan sandwich and it was huge and absolutely delicious. My husband and I were out riding bikes and we came upon this place. I ordered a bloody Mary mild spice and it was perfect! I would have loved to have olives in it ! The grilled avocado chicken and the BLT both on focaccia bread ( which they make fresh) were delicious!! The service was outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant. This restaurant provided a very disappointing lunch stop. I ordered a smash burger with grilled onions and fig jam and my husband ordered a chicken parm sandwich on focaccia. Our lunch came out in about 3 minutes flat. My burger was on the worst bun that was dripping in sticky sweet syrup that I can only assume would be the fig jam because I did't find any on my undercooked burger. My husband's sandwich with had a thin piece of breaded chicken and a few spoonfuls of bland sauce on a big piece of focaccia. I also had a can of San Pelligrino and our bill over 50.00$. read more

Stopped by on our way North and had lunch. Well worth the stop. We had the bangin shrimp app 5 out of 5 good quantity and size shrimp with very good flavor. We then ordered a mortadella sandwich and the Italian sandwich, both were excellent, great as described ingredients placed on fresh house-made very lightly toasted Foccacia bread. Must try. We ate outside on a quaint and well decorated patio area with umbrellas a small bar and that day live solo music. Once again we'll be back as there's so many dishes to try. read more

The food was amazing either way the shrimp po boy on the focaccia bread was the best shrimp sandwich we've ever had. The bolognese was amazing with the noodles being perfectly cooked and the meat sauce loaded with meat. The bread was a good touch to come with it and I ate the whole entire thing. The bread pudding was the best I have ever had. The homemade whipped cream was so good and the bread pudding with the sauce drizzled over the top just made it even better. Great spot on the canal- nice ambience in and out but I think a high privacy screen to block US 1 would be a terrific addition for those folks seated near the front. Just ordered a margarita pizza and bloody Mary's- both very good. The food around the room also looked very appealing. Live music was especially nice and not too loud- people could actually talk and enjoy. Wait staff very friendly and welcoming but ironically hostess was a bit off putting. We don't go out much, and we are former restaurant owners. That said, we decided to brunch at Lido 73 and to go by boat. So, my first comment is directed to boaters. Our boat is 40' and there is a choke point on the canal at the Bait store. Go slow! The restaurant boasts 300 feet of dockage. But it is curved, so as a practical matter it is less. We had lots of diners and staff to help us tie up (thanks). The patio area was pleasing to the eye and clean. Staff was quick with the menu and water, but slow with the coffee. Coffee flavor was rich. About the food. It seemed pricey, but the portions were monstrous. And the quality top notch. In all, we felt like it was a worthwhile stop and a value priced meal.
