Used to be one of my favorite spots but the service has fallen off and unfortunately got food poisoning on my last visit.

Atmosphere was fantastic. Was like a restaurant in Tuscany. Plenty of seating. Inside and outside. The staff was very attentive. The food looked amazing. I say looked because I am vegan, my friends are not. So I will talk to what I had. Only one dish available for me. Non vegan portions were of good size, mine not. The food and atmosphere here is outstanding. Our server was fantastic and very on top of things. Definitely try the Arancini balls, the fig and brie flatbread, and whatever their catch of the day is. Very peaceful views on a quiet canal where you may see boats going by or a fish jump out of the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. read more

Decent food but be prepared to wait. When we sat down we were informed that the meal could take 45 minutes- 2 hours to come out. No cocktails, beer and wine only so unless you like beer and wine be prepared to wait sober. Our meal also came out in piecemeal. Half the table got their food in an hour and the other half was an hour and a half. read more

This is our second time here in 3 days and for good reason. We were here for breakfast a few days ago and it was great. Jennifer took great care of us. Came for lunch today and sat outside. Absolutely beautiful. Lunch on the water and live music! We like small bites so we had the seared ahi tuna and the clams. The crostini was great with the steamed clams but I wanted a straw to finish the buttery sauce. Perfect local place! read more

The hostess greeted us immediately We were able to get a seat right away. We sat outside and it was lovely with great classical Guitar music! We shared a wedge salad, my husband had the smash burger --which was huge and very very good --and i had the lasagna. It was delicious. The portions were enough to take 1/2 home. Also we had coming in late the next day so we ordered a medium meat lovers pizza to go to have on hand. It smelled so great we had to share a pc in the car on the way home. We first went to Snappers but no one waited on us so we left. On our drive back to our hotel we saw this hidden gem! We had amazing service and were invited to visit their little marketplace while we waited for our food. The outdoor eating area was wonderful with views of the canal and boats. It was a delightful evening and the food was amazing as well! I really wish we would have found this sooner on our trip but will definitely go back next year. Went on an off-time around 4 PM, got a great table by the canal and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Ivan was our server and gave excellent recommendations. We ended up with three courses when planning to only come for a quick bite! This is one of my new favorites in town. read more

This is a sold 5/5 review. Not a 4.3 that I rounded up. I would give it more stars if I could. Like 500/5. It was excellent. And not just for the Keys. I've dined at "the best of the best" restaurants in the country- and around the world. Lido 73 has chops folks. Real chops. From the fresh pasta they make daily to their delicious marinara sauce- you can tell it's homemade and made with love. Whenever I go to an Italian restaurant that is new, but recommended by a friend, family member, or someone on Yelp, that I trust- no matter what I am ordering these spaghetti with meatballs. Yes, I'm well aware there's a fancy name for it, but in my world, if you can't make good spaghetti and meatballs, the rest of the house is going to crumble. So first visit is always spaghetti and meatballs, followed by something on their specials menu, and if I have made it to a third time at an Italian restaurant, that means it goes into my "keepers list". Needless to say, after eating seafood down in the keys for three days, we were ready to try out something different. My wife actually found Lido online, and we looked at their menu, which is massive by the way, and decided to go for a little drive. We arrived at a quaint cottage, looking structure on the end of a canal. It has a super fun vibe, with live music, most nights, they have a ping-pong table, along with foosball, and arcade games for the kids- an outdoor bar if that is your thing, as well as a covered patio and tables along the dockside. Our server was a total, sweetheart. In fact, everyone from the hostess we had, (and this was last evening, as I'm forgetting her name) to even the expediters who brought out the food, to the bus boys, everyone genuinely seemed happy, specifically happy to be working there, and more specifically happy that we were enjoying our food so much. The portions are awesome, we shared the calamari, which you could tell was made fresh, for an appetizer amongst the three of us, and all three of us had to go boxes. We ate here 4 times during our stay in Tavernier and loved every meal! The owner, Tony, went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of while we were in the keys. We chose to eat here on our first night of vacation and made a reservation in advance. We were seated at 8:15 and placed our order by 8:30. By 9:30, we still hadn't received our mozzarella appetizer--let alone our entrées (pear salads topped with grouper). Meanwhile, tables seated after us were served their full meals. After waiting over an hour with no food and no clear explanation, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. We came here for dinner with a group of six and sat quickly on a Friday night. We ordered mussels, bruschetta, and conch fritters for appetizers. We ordered a bunch of food for the main course, such as bolognese, seafood pasta, gnocchi, filet mignon medallions, cacio e pepe and meatballs. For dessert, we got cheesecake, cannoli, mousse cake, and babamisu. We thought the appetizers were good. As for the main dishes, they were just blah and the meatballs were absolutely disgusting. We don't know if they opened a rotten can of dog food to make them with, but we honestly wouldn't have even given them to a dog that had no taste buds. That's how bad they were. As far as the desserts, the cannoli was soft and didn't have a crunchy shell, but everything else was good. We found out the place is under the same ownership as the Italian food company in Islamorada because the food was just as blah as that place. Next time we are in the area, if we have a craving for Italian food, we'll just wait to come home to fill that craving rather than go to this place or anyplace that falls under their umbrella. We had a very nice lunch at Lido 73. It was recommended by my sister that lives in the area and was not disappointed. Not really much to see, the water view is basically a canal, but the food and service were very good !! It was a Sunday afternoon, they had a steel drum player, it really adds to the atmosphere. We had some Conch Fritters, Soup of the week and Medium Pizza, all very tasty and good portions. Add a couple of beers, Key Lime Pie and Espresso, it came out to $84.00 plus tip. FYI this place is owned by the much LARGER Italian Food Company Restaurant near by. Overall very nice experience. read more

This was the best meal of the entire trip to the Keys. Food was excellent. One of our party who shared with us got the Fiocchi di Pera dish that I had never heard of before. Wow.....have I been missing out. It is worth driving down to Tavernier just for this dish! Do yourself a favor and give this mostly savory with a touch of sweetness delight a try. I probably would not have tried it not knowing anything about it, but am sure glad I got the chance. Here's an internet description. "Fiocchi di pera are delicate Italian pasta purses filled with a mixture of sweet pears and creamy cheeses (ricotta). Often referred to as a refined dish, they are commonly served in a creamy cheese and/or butter-herb sauce, sometimes topped with nuts (almond slices.)" The pasta was tender, and the balance of flavors superb. A warm and breezy outdoor setting that I understand you can get to from the water. Our waitress was helpful, efficient and just lovely. 10 out of 10. Wish we had one of these here in Palm Beach County. read more

We love coming to Lido 73 sitting on the water front back patio bar with a cool breeze. Wonderful neighborhood Italian grill with great prices and portions. The bartender suggested The meatball appetizer, grandma 100 year recipe, amazing! We also had in house baked focaccia bread chicken Parmesan sandwich and it was huge and absolutely delicious. Happy hour wine and beer prices was a plus. The bar staff were attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back to try the mussels. read more

My husband and I were out riding bikes and we came upon this place. I ordered a bloody Mary mild spice and it was perfect! I would have loved to have olives in it ! The grilled avocado chicken and the BLT both on focaccia bread ( which they make fresh) were delicious!! The service was outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant. This restaurant provided a very disappointing lunch stop. I ordered a smash burger with grilled onions and fig jam and my husband ordered a chicken parm sandwich on focaccia. Our lunch came out in about 3 minutes flat. My burger was on the worst bun that was dripping in sticky sweet syrup that I can only assume would be the fig jam because I did't find any on my undercooked burger. My husband's sandwich with had a thin piece of breaded chicken and a few spoonfuls of bland sauce on a big piece of focaccia. I also had a can of San Pelligrino and our bill over 50.00$. read more

Stopped by on our way North and had lunch. Well worth the stop. We had the bangin shrimp app 5 out of 5 good quantity and size shrimp with very good flavor. We then ordered a mortadella sandwich and the Italian sandwich, both were excellent, great as described ingredients placed on fresh house-made very lightly toasted Foccacia bread. Must try.
