Lemoncello cake
Johnetta H.

I'm gonna start this review with the good. The staff were wonderful. They were attentive and very nice, and even apologetic about where they had to seat me because of the rain. (I came because of the water views but the patio was closed cause of weather). Now the food was very meh. I ordered pasta di mare and it was not great, just good enough to barely eat. The sandia refresher was bad, I couldn't even finish it. It was like something mixed in was either old or stale as it had a horrible aftertaste. However I was celebrating my birthday so they offered me a free dessert. I chose the lemoncello cake and it was delish! Ate every crumb. I would come back simply because the restaurant is beautiful, but maybe just appetizers or small bites.

This place was amazing! From the food, to the service to the views..... Bryan was an awesome server. His warm smile, patience and kind service alone would have me coming back. The burger and fries were so good and cooked to perfection.

Delicious brunch. They also have vegan options!

Lido bayside grill is part of the standard hotel. My girlfriends and I had a girls spa day and decided to come here for brunch. The food was amazing and our server was very friendly and attentive despite how busy it was on a Saturday. The grill is right next to their outdoor pool. It was very cold outside when we came here and luckily they had patio heaters out for us. I had the eggs Benedict with potatoes and it was amazing. They also have vegan options which is a plus. Plenty of food options to choose from. My girlfriends all really enjoyed their meals. The food portions were nice and prices were very reasonable despite being part of a hotel and spa. Highly recommend!

I came to Lido for brunch with a friend and we had a great time. We got to sit by the water. The weather was so nice. The service was great and the food was delicious. I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and had coconut water. It's a really nice restaurant and it's always a good time at The Standard!

Short rib tacos, avocado side and Caesar salad
Marissa B.

Beautiful location for a restaurant at the Standard hotel. I came here after a much needed self-care spa day so I was by myself. I sat right next to the water with a gorgeous view. I ordered a Caesar salad but the waitress forgot my avocado that I asked for on the side and I had to ask multiple times in order for it to be brought to the table. I also ordered the short rib tacos which were phenomenal. It came 3 tacos to an order. There were some tourists sitting near me which were extremely loud and obnoxious, but beyond that I had a relaxing day.

Fish and chips

I got the fish and chips which were good, although it doesn't come with tartar sauce. My friends got the burger and didn't like it at all. But the drinks were tasty and view was amazing. The service was attentive and helped move tables to be in the shade.

I met a friend here for lunch. I'd been warned about the expensive valet, but I was running late so I didn't have time to look elsewhere for parking. The location is amazing! The food and service was great! The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is for the valet and pricing. I ordered the guacamole with chips and the tuna ceviche. My friend had the watermelon salad with a side of blackened tofu. The food was delicious. The waiter was great. There's a 20% gratuity added to your check. I gave him a little extra because he was so nice. My bill was about $54 before I added a bit more. We only had water. My friends bill was $25+ I'd go back but definitely find parking elsewhere and walk!

Excellent service - everything I asked for I received in a friendly and timely manner. The server recommended the burger so I went ahead and ordered. To my surprise, it was a GOOD different. When you think of ordering a burger you usually know what flavors you'll get but this was a great switch up for me. Absolutely loved!! I requested honey mustard on the side (love my sauce) and the waiter said they didn't have it. This waiter was so sweet he went out of his way to make me some from scratch. Thank you again, Josh!! :) The menu was intriguing so I had a difficult time choosing what I wanted because I genuinely wanted to try all of it! I also tried the detox juice - so good! Also - the view just makes you want to spend the day here reading a book eating good food.

Water side dining

Everything we ordered was amazing, from the crispy spicy wings, to the juicy steak, and light and fresh rigatoni. The ambiance was amazing with the water right there and the Miami skyline, along with the occasional yachts passing by and lighting. Our waiter was phenomenal and was always refilling our drinks and frequently stopped by the table. My new favorite restaurant all around.

Ashley O.

I really enjoyed my experience here. I found this place on TikTok and I was interested based off the restaurant being literally right on the water because I just love being by the water and I was definitely not disappointed in that regard. We got a table right next to the ocean and it was a divine experience. It was so calming and beautiful and it was nice to watch the ships and the people just moving through the ocean while we were eating. I also really enjoyed the music..I actually believe that I saved a few songs on my phone based off what the DJ was playing so that definitely added to the ambience and was great as well. The one downside I will say is that the food was not the best. My boyfriend got the "jerk wings" which did not taste in any way like jerk at all, but I could tell from the description that they wouldn't and they were just very bland. I'm pretty sure the chicken was not marinated so we did not enjoy that. I did order some seafood and I wasn't mad at what I ordered personally.. it wasn't amazing but I did want a healthy meal and I definitely got that with this meal for sure and the fish tasted really fresh and just overall was a nice, light, and nutritious meal. My boyfriend paid and from what he said it seems like it was pretty pricey so that could for sure be a downside as well, but I really enjoyed my experience here overall from the ambience, the ocean views, to the music. Everything really appealed to me in those regards and I definitely added it to my Miami list and will return.

Paella

Great waterfront spot with a really active pool scene and endless people watching. Lido sits on the standards property- this is fun as it adds a touch of exclusivity and interesting company. The food here is hit or miss- the hits include the paella and bread pudding, while the misses include the chicken and a few salads. Service here is great if you're with a member, but can be lackluster otherwise. I like this as a more casual alternative to seaspice.

Mahsa T.

Food was good, but the views and vibe were amazing! This hotel restaurant overlooks the bay, with lots of seating, umbrellas, and fans to keep you cool. The walk from the lobby to the Lido (see pics) is beautiful - a wall of green. We were here for brunch, so I had scrambled eggs with potatoes, which was good. Coffee was a tad cold. Service was good. Parking is a bit tricky as valet is $30 and most street parking in the area is resident permit only, so you may want to Uber or risk getting towed.

Barren Seed For a…read moremilestone birthday I wanted to go with something that represented living vicariously through the life of someone who attained a career I once dreamed of. Not saying I'm unhappy at all with my career, but most people who know me also know from early on I aspired to become a renowned chef. Limitations at the time didn't make that possible, but the culinary arts remain a core part of who I am. Entered how impressed we were last year with the Miami Spice menu that on the spot I selected Stubborn Seed as the venue for my milestone birthday. Enter a process, meal, and aftermath made to the horror model of movies like Sinners. Let me start with the reservation. I booked in October 2025 to ensure we would have the place booked for my birthday. At the time we had a placeholder menu which we would adjust closer to the date. I was told then the 6 course menu would not be available. Closer to the date I saw on the website the 6 course menu was indeed available. In reaching out to the team member who took my reservation and contract, she told me the 6 course menu was not available on Fridays. From what you can see in the pictures, it was available. Then we wonder why Miami gets the reputation it does,.. ...finally we settled on the 6 course meny after all. My party showed up and we had a great time. Most courses were really solid. Notable was the first course, the cured Ginger & Citrus Cured Japanese Yellowtail. Everything kept moving in a definite crescendo until the let down of the main course. The Koji Marinated Lamb Loin was better billed as the "mini loin" as it was indeed incredibly small. I considered summoning Avenger level superpowers to reduce my people in size to the Wasp to make this work somehow. Unfortunately I don't possess such superpowers. If only. But that was not all. Wait for it... ...There was not one single acknowledgment by anyone in the restaurant staff about my milestone birthday. Not a thank you for selecting us. Not a mention by the manager or anyone on the staff. Not even a gesture during dessert. Even the most elegant of restaurants do something. Even a plated decoration acknowledging the occasion would have sufficed. I wasn't asking for Longhorn Steakhouse staff type of fanfare but something would have been adequate. Nothing. But wait, there's more... ...when settling the check I mentioned I had prepaid for the 10 tasting menus ahead of time leaving on premises consumption for payment on site. At the restaurante they looked into it and came back with that the prepayment was never charged. Given I was with my guests that was neither the time nor the place, so I settled the bill with the intent on checking this later. I did and they had indeed double charged me $2,000. Needless to say I had to bring this up to them including opening a dispute with my credit card after days went by without a follow up on where my refund stood. No offense ladies and gentlemen, but this mistake should have never taken place in the first place... All in all, not even they have the power to ruin what was one of the most memorable evenings of my life. Why? because I was surrounded by some of the most amazing human beings who took time to share this birthday with me. I love them and am grateful to have them in my life. That was the main event. The hopes was having a similar amazing experience with the meal at Stubborn Seed would be the icing on the case. It was not. Fortunately for me they didn't add anything, but more importantly, they didn't take anything away. That said, since Michelin doesn't judge a restaurant for portion size or service, I thought I myself would take something away - the veil on a restaurant that is evidently self indulgent and does not and will not care about you. You are not the star, and you never will be. Recommendations: Read "Unreasonable Hospitality" by Will Guidara - you may learn a bit just the the title itself, more if you crack the book open. Attending a Hospitality program somewhere (doesn't have to be Cornell at this point!)

Happy hour clocks in at $12 for food, $12 for all house cocktails, $10 spritzes, and a flat $6 for all beer, which in Miami Beach feels almost suspicious in the best way possible. I kept it simple with an ice cold Peroni while my wife went for the Giardino 75, a gorgeous little spritz built on Empress Indigo Gin, St. Germain, mint, lime, and prosecco. She loved it. The color alone was worth the ten bucks, but it actually drank as good as it looked. For food we shared the Bolognese Grilled Cheese and let me tell you, this thing punches well above its $12 price tag. Thick cut brioche toast, griddled until the edges go deep golden brown, stacked over a rich slow simmered bolognese with cheese pulling through every bite. Dusted with parmesan and fresh herbs, plated with cherry tomato skewers that added a nice little pop of acidity. Comfort food dressed up for a night out. Service was attentive and easy, drinks came quick, plates came hot, and nobody made us feel rushed even sitting through happy hour. The room itself has that playful Sicilian energy with the Moor head planters and bright touches throughout, which fits the vibe of the menu perfectly. Would I make a special trip back to Miami Beach for it? Probably not from Fort Myers, but if you're already in the area during happy hour, this is one of the better values you'll find on the beach. Solid four stars. Good drinks, good food, great specials, and service that actually showed up.
