One of the best lunch with a view spots in the area. Lido is very well decorated from the moment you walk in from valet until you are seated. There are swings , statues, shrub lined walkways and a fun astrology call box. It was a sunny day with a bit of wind but a perfect day to be outside. We were seated promptly, greeted and offered with a few waters. We ordered the beet salad with blackened chicken, the octopus and a few drinks. Everything was delicious and fresh. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Endless water views from just about every table and very cute yellow and stripe furniture fill the outdoor dining area. The Standard is one of my favorite staycation spots, so when a friend invited me for a Mother's Day dinner I was genuinely looking forward to a relaxing, pampered night out. Unfortunately, it didn't quite land that way. It started before we even sat down -- my friend had been at the pool after her spa service and couldn't get a server's attention despite flagging down several. Not the vibe you want going into a special dinner. Once we were seated, the tuna carpaccio was unavailable, so I went with the hamachi crudo. It was delicious, but the figs were noticeably hard. We asked about the branzino and whether it needed a side -- we were told it really didn't -- and then it came out as literally just fish on a plate. My friend ordered a side after the fact, and it took a long time to arrive. To make it worse, our silverware was cleared too early, so we sat there with food in front of us and nothing to eat with. I had the 3 cheese ravioli -- the short rib sugo was highlighted on the menu, but given the price point, the short rib itself felt like more of a garnish than a feature. Some items were comped and the staff apologized multiple times, which was appreciated. But for a Mother's Day dinner at a place with such good memories attached to it, it just felt like a letdown. (I came because of the water views but the patio was closed cause of weather). Now the food was very meh. I ordered pasta di mare and it was not great, just good enough to barely eat. The sandia refresher was bad, I couldn't even finish it. It was like something mixed in was either old or stale as it had a horrible aftertaste. However I was celebrating my birthday so they offered me a free dessert. I chose the lemoncello cake and it was delish! Ate every crumb. Been here so many times and every time it's gotten noticeably worse for different reasons :( Overall service has had a steep decline but we keep coming back hoping if a fluke each time. Drinks come long after food arrives, food gets forgotten, or extremely long waits on food. But our recent experience was unfortunately the nail in the coffin... cockroaches... everywhere... We were trying to eat and giant roaches were running around our feet and other guests. I really enjoyed my experience here. I found this place on TikTok and I was interested based off the restaurant being literally right on the water because I just love being by the water and I was definitely not disappointed in that regard. We got a table right next to the ocean and it was a divine experience. The one downside I will say is that the food was not the best. My boyfriend got the "jerk wings" which did not taste in any way like jerk at all, but I could tell from the description that they wouldn't and they were just very bland. I'm pretty sure the chicken was not marinated so we did not enjoy that. I did order some seafood and I wasn't mad at what I ordered personally.. it wasn't amazing but I did want a healthy meal and I definitely got that with this meal for sure and the fish tasted really fresh and just overall was a nice, light, and nutritious meal. My boyfriend paid and from what he said it seems like it was pretty pricey so that could for sure be a downside as well, but I really enjoyed my experience here overall from the ambience, the ocean views, to the music. Enjoyed my lovely lunch here on a break from a bike ride across Venetian causeway. Had no issues chaining my bike up in front adjacent to valet on the provided bike racks, walked straight through to the courtyard and enjoyed the beautiful garden before making my way to the pool deck area and Lido restaurant, where staff in minimalist and spa-like outfits, all khaki and white, soft cottons and linens, were waiting to assist us. We had no reservation and requested a table for two in the shade, as it was a cool, but sunny day. They were quickly able to accommodate that, and even took the care to set the table up with both chairs on the same side facing the water, a little touch that adds a nice detail. Our server was very nice, he wasn't particularly outgoing and didn't make any recommendations, but was everything we needed. we tried a couple different juices, the Verde and the pinup, the Verde was definitely a healthy tasting juice with no sugary inside, and tasted very fresh and not grainy. The pinup was a bit sweeter, and so delicious, we shared them both, and the mix felt perfect. We still had a nice bike ride back ahead of us, and didn't want to fill up too much, so we just shared an appetizer, the whipped feta. It was such a unique texture for feta, and made it creamy and sour at the same time, when paired with the roasted cherry tomatoes and crustinis was a delightful, crunchy creamy snack. We ran out of crustinis and asked for more bread, and the server brought us some fresh sourdough, which may have been even better. Prices are to be expected for a place like this, $12 each for a fresh pressed juice and $18 for the whipped feta appetizer. We got seated right by the water and the views were beautiful. As the food came, I accidentally knocked my sunglasses right into the bay. The staff got wind of what happened and immediately jumped into action with long nets to try and retrieve them. It's a beautiful, laidback place for a date, casual lunch, happy hour, or a romantic dinner with candlelight after the sunset. I went on Thanksgiving one year for a pre fixe dinner and it was a great deal, food was decent, and we sat and watched dolphins frolicking while we enjoyed our drinks.
