Not to be confused with lieu's Chinese bistro THERE IS A DIFFERENCE THEY HAVE DIFFERENT OWNERS! Lieu's Asian bistro is awesome, coming from Michigan we have been searching for good Chinese and finally found it here. We ordered the sesame chicken and lieus spicey chicken and it was soooo good. Big portions so you could easily split a dish since they are family style. The restaurant had a lot of customers but we didn't have to wait we walked in and sat down immediately which was great. The restaurant has a darker more intimate feel making it feel more upscale than just Chinese take out. Great place for a nice dinner. This is our favorite Chinese restaurant hands down

Orange Peel

The fried green beans and spring rolls are must! I could've made a meal out of that alone. My daughter had the sesame chicken and absolutely loved it. I had the orange peel shrimp and will be dreaming of that for awhile. It comes in different spice levels and I'd def try it with a kick next time. The server was great though he did forget one bowl of rice. But it was okay since it was so busy! We'll definitely be back though.

Great atmosphere. Nice wine list. Great specialty cocktails. Be mindful that the entrees are large enough to share with a few people. There are a lot of options on the menu, so it took us a while to decide. Ordered chicken egg rolls and cream cheese womtons as starters. Good serving sizes, fresh out the fryer. The beef lo mein was excellent. Well seasoned and contained enough beef. Our server, John, was delightful. He knew a little about everything. They have a small bar, with 2 TVs. Would definitely go back.

This is the response I receive after reviewing. Keeping it classy!

Took a few bites of my meal at lunch and had to take it to go to deal with something at work. I was on the phone when I left and got about 2 miles down the road and realized I left my to-go box on the table. I immediately called them and drove back up there. Spoke with a manager who called the owner. The owner said that someone must have thrown it away and there was nothing they could do. I asked if they would make me a new one and was again told I that there was nothing they could or would do and they hung up on me. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I love the food here! It's always fresh and perfectly crispy. The portion size is also great: shared this between 4 people. This also included rice (photo not included).

Beef Lo Mein, Tempura Green Beans, Crispy Honey Chicken. Not pictured two empty bowls of Hot and Sour Soup... The best!

My family and I love coming here. Food is always hot, staff is friendly, and the restaurant is very clean. We love the hot and sour soup, tempura fried green beans, lieu's spicy chicken, and beef lo mein. Also great for take out with the large serving size!!

Very casual restaurant serving asian-american style food. This was my first time here. Our waiter was quick and always made sure we had water. I ordered the crispy honey chicken which was okay. Definitely much sweeter than I expected it to be. I will say the portion was large enough to share and was priced very well for what I got. I'd come back again once in a blue moon but not if I'm craving authentic asian food. It's very similar to Red Bowl in regards to the Asian-American cuisine.

But you don't want to miss the huge pretzel with beer cheese, I would definitely have that again. the Bourbon chipotle chicken wings are out of this world. Wonderful flavor and meaty. The grilled peach Burrata with prosciutto is tasty but pretty expensive for what you get. I asked for a slice of sourdough bread to go with it and they charge me another two bucks for a appetizer that was already $18. But the star of the show was the blueberry lemoncello martini , hands-down, one of the best drinks I've ever had . Wonderful bar with a great selection of liquor with intimate seating all around. It's a small place , but if I lived in town, I would go there all the time.

There was fresh figs with cheese and a couple pieces of the salami.. nothing matters when the CRISPY TOASTS ARE STALE. We asked for fresh toasts to finish the Brie, we were not given the same thing, except cheap water crackers. Horrible and distasteful. The service was less than satisfactory. Seems like they were extremely overwhelmed and gave the worst recommendations by being short and dismissive. The Prime Rib sandwich was also not very good. The bread was so soggy on the bottom and the cheap tater tots were over cooked and SO OILY. Certainly, did not meet ANY EXPECTATIONS. My brother had the burger, also not impressed. This is supposed to be a luxurious property with high standards and our server was so sloppy and not helpful at all. THE WORST PART: DO NOT TAKE UBER/LYFT. The Hotel admitted they were having an on going issue with drivers locating the property via GPS. It was 9:00pm when we left and we didn't get a ride until 10:40pm. HORRIFIC. Two drivers cancelled because they tried to get to us. May God bless the driver that stayed on the phone with us and went all over God's creation (Hartness Underdeveloped Property) to get to us.

It was a special of the month, but it was fat laden and inedible. Our conclusion was that the regular kitchen crew might have been on spring break, but it took several months for me to convince my wife (and mother-in-law) to return on a recent, rainy Saturday at lunch. One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch, so one bad meal after many great ones follows suit. I will say that sometimes there is inconsistency's in the dishes. I've had the pulled pork poutine when it was excellent with crisp fries and fluffy interior with that gravy and I've had it where it was a soupy and limp mess. But most times, the food is good. And that's the draw, it's a scratch kitchen. But it's also a bar. A sports bar. A great craft beer bar. But it comes with bar decor, and it sounds like a bar. It can be noisy. It can be empty or crowded. Depends. But the wait staff is usually hustling to cover the floor and in busy times the bartender or kitchen helps run food, so you just have to look at the whole thing and love it as a great neighborhood bar. We will come back, our burgers were excellent and the wings are consistently good. I think they might work on an in between buffalo sauce, the medium is not hot enough and the hot (or hottest) is so hot as to drown flavor. But that's just a nit to pick. I'm glad that we returned and had a good experience.

Would be safer if they offered PEI or more northern oysters.

The owner named his arcade after this ghost, which is either the most romantic thing a business owner has ever done or the most honest, and I've been unable to decide which since I left. The 80s are here the way the 80s are always here once you're old enough: not as decoration but as a low-grade persistent condition, the kind that flares up without warning in a grocery store when a song comes on that you haven't thought about since 1987 and then can't stop thinking about. The arcade cabinets are lined up along the walls, the kind that hummed and ate your quarters with no apology in 1984. They still hum. The quarters part is covered in the flat admission fee of either $15 an hour or $20 for a whole day of genuine nirvana, which is a more generous arrangement than the original decade ever offered. There are also two chandeliers for an elegant touch, a full ornate candelabra situation hanging above the consoles, which is either a design decision made with great confidence or a mistake that became load-bearing. Either way I respected it. I played Frogger. The frog died repeatedly, in the specific way things die when they commit at the wrong moment. I stood there longer than I planned. Henry, who is almost eight, played pinball at what I can only describe as an alarming rate. Not alarming in the sense of worry, alarming in the sense of watching someone do something faster and more confidently than the years they've had on earth would suggest. He worked through three machines in sequence, nudging each one at the right moment with the flat of his palm, the way men who've been doing this since the Reagan administration do it. I stood behind him and said nothing, which is a thing I do more and more as he gets older, because there is increasingly less to add. Pinky's Revenge moved recently from Taylors Mill to downtown Greer, forced out by South Carolina's new liquor liability laws and the fact that Taylors Mill has the ambiance of a place where people likely get killed on a rerun of Law & Order. The drink menu is fully canned, which is the correct delivery mechanism for a room like this. A PBR for three fifty next to Donkey Kong feels exactly right, and I say that as someone who also paid seven dollars for a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and did not regret it. The menu also carries Jolt Cola for five dollars, still advertising all the sugar and twice the caffeine, which was the entire value proposition of being seven in 1985. There is Capri Sun for two dollars and Yoo-hoo also for two dollars. I ordered both for the family without explanation because none was required. Clearly we had a thirst little could quench. The menu also lists THC seltzers, Rebel Rabbit, five or ten milligrams, eight dollars. The last time I was in a room like this it was 1988, a Putt-Putt Golf and Games off a highway in suburban south Anderson, and the most transgressive thing available was a second game token and a Mello Yello. A woman near the pinball machines was wearing jelly bracelets, the translucent kind, stacked to the elbow. She was in her forties. She beat the machine badly and walked away without looking back, which is the most 80s thing I have ever seen a person do in real life, and I was there for the original run.

The indoor acoustics allowed for easy conversation and the background music complements the room. Tavola is quickly becoming one of our favorites. We love the setting and the food. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and beyond helpful guiding us to the Fruitti di Mare appetizer which was amazing..and the cocktails were the best I have had in a very long time anywhere. Being a bourbon fan I couldn't resist trying the Molly's Moda Antica and my wife had a Mediterranean Mule. We had a fabulous dinner. I tried the Branzino seafood entree which I had never heard of, but it was delicious. My wife had the Pappardelle pasta. PROS: - Food quality and authenticity…read more- Server hospitality CONS: - Crowded seating - Hostess efficiency - Wait time Tavola starts with a plot twist: an 8:00 reservation that magically becomes 8:15 thanks to a hostess who apparently ghosted our existence. Not exactly la dolce vita. Thankfully, carbs save the day. Everything was house made. The handmade pasta was made with flour flown in from Italy! I had the casarecce which had light and well-balanced bacon and lemon flavors. My date had the the "whole" branzino, which despite described as "whole" came already de-boned and without the head. It was crispy, golden, and serving main character energy with its unique presentation. Frutti di mare was... there. I didn't think the flavors were anything to write home from Italy about. Though, the presentation was impeccable, I must admit. Whitney, our server, deserves a standing ovation! She was part waitress, part Italian food narrator, and made every dish sound like it had a backstory which honestly just elevates the whole experience. And the lemon cheesecake is worth saving room for. Flavors were bright, dreamy, and worth every calorie. My only regret is skipping the house-made focaccia.
