First time at this spot. Located at Bridgeway Station, there were a few eateries but was in the mood for sushi so this for the bill. Trendy decor inside and a nice vista outside. The weather was great and the out door seating has shade, so lunch with a view. It took a while for the rolls to come out, but they weee worth the wait. Tried two rolls. The Acevichado Roll - a unique roll that really worked. Has shrimp ceviche & is a creation of their chef. Our server told us the chef was from Miami and in the past worked for Bad Bunny. The Castle Roll. A boy heavy in the cream cheese but nice. Am a fan of salmon. Friendly server. The restaurant was not overly crowded but the food took a while to come out. If you are looking for tasty food and a nice "castle" vista check it out, but make sure you have plenty of time if you dine at this trendy spot. read more

My friend and I have been to the plank multiple times and the bartenders Ryan and Anthony are always so helpful when choosing a drinks or food. The lighting and music add a nice ambiance. They always lets us play songs when they are closing. The vibes are strong. The drinks are amazing and the food is delicious and filling. Highly recommend for a good time! read more

We've been here twice. Same waitress both times. First experience was fabulous, the restaurant was extremely busy, but it was a Friday afternoon/evening. Food was phenomenal, we received everything in a timely manner especially with as busy as it was. This last time was AWFUL, she came around 3 times, ignored empty glasses and was avoidant. Not because it was a busy Sunday afternoon, there were 4 tables in the entire establishment (upstairs and downstairs). We gave up and paid at the bar after waiting 40+ minutes forbher to show back up. She had watched us from inside the restaurant (with no customers inside) and just didn't come check on us. When she realized what was going on she came out, WITH OUR CHECK. This felt very intentional. The only difference from one experience to the next: we asked about accompaniments on the charcuterie board because of allergy concerns. Her entire demeanor changed immediately. Discrimination isn't just skin color and is beyond disappointing to be treated badly based on what someone is born with and cannot be helped by themselves. We probably won't be back and if we do, specifically refuse her but it will be a long time. She wears a bow in her hair if you'd like to avoid bad service as well. As for the food: it's delicious, the oysters are good but habitually have shell in them so just be cautious. Highly recommend the crab nachos. Drinks are beautiful and strong. read more

Went back to Plank to get the lobster roll again but this time it was not very good unfortunately. The first time it was the best, this one had little flavor and was very overcooked and tough. We don't like ours with too much mayo but it tasted like it didn't have any and was very dry. Shrimp cocktail was still very good, Bloody Mary was not great. Will try this place out again but it seems like it has gone downhill. That said, the service was still great. read more

Visited with a few friends at this very nice raw bar above Restaurant Rocco with indoor and outdoor seating. The tables inside are a bit small, it's a smaller space. Starting with the good, our server Brooke and the bartender Bryan were super nice and patient. They checked on us frequently, but not in an overbearing way. Now for the not so good. I was very disappointed in the wait time for our food which we ordered around 7:30 (my pics confirm these times) -- 1/2 dozen oysters, two sandwich meals (salmon blt & lobster roll, both came with chips), crab nachos, and seafood dip. Dip and nachos came out around 8:15 and the two sandwiches came out around 8:30. To top it all off, the oysters never came! When our server checked on us after we were finishing up, we asked about the oysters and she was going to check, but we canceled that order mainly because we wanted them as appetizers. My BLT had room temperature, but well-cooked salmon. Menu says there's charred pineapple, but I got no pineapple or charred flavor whatsoever. My friend loved the lobster roll and the others liked their dishes. The drinks were delicious. The most frustrating part of this experience was that there were only two other small parties inside. Interesting raw bar & cocktail lounge. Stairs can be difficult to find; keep searching. Sushi (spicy tuna & plank roll) was average at best. Better than the gas station, not sure it's better than Publix. 1/2 dz Oysters on the half shell were good. Had a Lobster Roll and a salmon dish at the table. Okay; nothing spectacular. This and a few cocktails and glasses of wine for the low low price of $360 plus tip. Service was fine; meals (and rolls) came out of the kitchen as they came. Not great when one person has eaten before others even have their dinner. Limited options in this part of the city, but we don't need to go back for more than a glass of wine and/or a cocktail. read more

The food and drinks were superb! Friendly staff. The view of the place is great. My issue is that it is not accessible. There are only stairs, no elevator. I have elderly friends who could not.make it up the stairs. And I have family in wheelchairs. I will not be going back in protest of being inaccessible. I thought there were laws for this. I must speak out as an advocate of those who can not access restaurant by stairs. read more

I had a really disappointing experience last night (4/28/26) and definitely will not be coming back. Two of my friends and I each found a blonde hair in our sushi rolls, which is obviously disgusting. I brought it to our waitress's attention (who happened to have blonde hair). They then alerted the manager who took forever to come out and speak to us. The manager finally came over with a dismissive attitude right from the start. Instead of taking our concern seriously, she questioned us and acted like we were dumb teenagers trying to get a "freebie." (Hey, even dumb teens don't like hair in their food.) She even asked if we were aware that the sushi chef is bald, which felt irrelevant and unprofessional, also how would we know or care, especially given that all three of us had the same problem. She then asked what we wanted, suggesting a free dessert, as if we were just trying to get something out of it. We wondered why she thought we would want more "hairy" food? We made it clear we weren't looking for anything free, just trying to bring attention to a hygiene issue. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to matter. Between the food quality issue and the poor handling of this situation and unprofessionalism, this was a horrid experience all around. I would not recommend this place. read more

We tried to be patient, assuming the kitchen might be backed up, but nothing prepared us for what came next. Our food--a simple salad and a tuna tartare--took over 90 minutes to arrive. Not a complicated order, not a busy brunch rush, just two basic dishes that should never require that kind of wait time. By the time the plates finally hit the table, the evening had already lost its energy. When we finally asked to speak with the manager, her response was honestly the most disappointing part of the night. She told us, very matter‑of‑factly, that they "were not ready to serve a full restaurant." That's not an explanation--it's an admission that they knowingly seated guests despite being unprepared to provide even basic service. What was supposed to be a special birthday dinner for my wife turned into a frustrating, drawn‑out ordeal. We left feeling more stressed than when we arrived. We had a large party reservation on a Friday night (tonight). Most of us had never been to the Plank but we all left very happy. The two ladies taking care of us were absolute pros and we had wonderful service. I'm not the biggest sushi/fish eater so I split the charcuterie board with some friends and had the chicken nachos. Usually the land food isn't as great at seafood restaurants but they were the best nachos I've had in a long time and the board was delicious as well! Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks and the few bites I took of their chocolate cake was spectacular. Great experience and I'll be bringing my family here soon. From the moment we walked in The Plank offered a very comfortable, relaxing ambience which includes choosing your own seating, whether it be at the bar or table. Our server, Dwaine, was friendly, engaging and shared his knowledge of the menu. We chose the Chesapeake Bay oysters on the half shell for starters. These oysters are phenomenal. Extremely fresh and chilled perfectly. Our entrées consisted of potato leek soup, ahi poke bowl and the salmon BLT. Each entrée tasted amazingly fresh and delicious. We dine out many times a week and Dwaine by far is the best server and bartender. We will definitely be returning customers.
