This was the first Italian spot I've tried since moving to JC and it was delicious ! The food came nice and hot even tho the delivery was considered a little late. 10/10 would recommend

I've been ordering take out from these guys for almost two years now. Ever since Renatos cut their portion sizes in half and doubled their prices actually. I've never had a problem and the food has been great. Deliveries are always within a reasonable amount of time and always sooner than promised. Tonight my Sicilian pie arrived w most of the cheese stuck to the top of the box. I called to let them know and express my disappointment but before I was able to finish my sentence he said he would send me a new pie. I was dumbfounded. I was dumbfounded because it's been many years since I've encountered fair business practice in retail anywhere, in fact, I don't remember the last time a merchant ever went above and beyond for me. We now live in a country where the bartender is doing you a favor for making eye contact with you--you're not getting your drink for another 9 minutes 'but at least he saw me.' Why am I on a first name basis with my roofer? Well because his work must suck, right? And every time I call him because I have another roof leak which has ruined another wall and section of ceiling its another $4,000 -- does he stand behind his work? Obviously not. (Elite Roofing, Bayonne). Have a $5000 air conditioner repair on a unit that's about 3 -4 years old? Too bad -- (Rheem). Not these guys--they get--they value their customers and don't want to lose them. Support this business so we don't lose them.

*Quarantine Delivery Review* I think Lievito might be the same as Romano Pizza in Weehawken. I was searching for a pizza spot that also had sandwiches, and I noticed they had the same exact menu. Everything sounded really good so we ended up ordering way too much food for two people. But we figured we could have a few meals of leftover, and support a local business at the same time (or at least that's what I tell myself because I think I really just wanted to pig out). Here is what we ordered: Meatball Parm Sub - meatballs are solid Chicken Parm Sub - some parts of the chicken were a bit too thin, which ended up making it a little dry but overall, it wasn't bad Lievito's Special Pizza (meatball, sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers) - basically a supreme pizza. They don't skimp on the toppings. It's not my favorite crust, but the pizza itself was pretty good Lievito Appetizer Sampler (chicken wings, chicken fingers, french fries, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, fried ravioli) - nothing special but it's good if you just want to eat a bunch of fried stuff that's bad for you. It was a bit cold but it tasted a lot better the next day after we popped it into the toaster oven I really had to stop myself from adding a philly cheesesteak on top of this order, so I think I'll try that out next time, along with some of their specialty pies. Hopefully we will get to go in person and sit down, sometime soon.

Second time getting it. The sauce to cheese ratio is off. The cheese is thick, barely any sauce. The penne was good, seasoned well. They gave us bread with the pasta, which was nice.

Delicious Penne vodka with Grilled Chicken

Fantastic pasta!! The vodka sauce is delicious and the Alfredo was actually very tasty. All chicken was perfectly cooked. We will definitely be ordering from here again soon!! Thank you!

    Colorful and Clean food presentation.

PROS 1. Garlic Knot Meatball Parm Sandwich was Super Flavorful and Genius! 2. Grandma Sicilian Pizza was good. 3. Freshly Savory Marinara Sauce. 4. Interior is nice 5. Friendly Staff. CONS 1. The Grandma Sicilian Pizza needs just a bit more sauce.

The first time I went here there was mix up and the management team got back to me within a day which show they really care. On the 2nd try the food was good the pizza is nice and light so you can eat it and still be able to go out which is nice. Also would recommend getting the garlic knots.

Staff is very professional and friendly, always making sure everyone is having a good time. Honestly, all the food is great here but some of my favorites are definitely the carpaccio and calamari appetizer (the calamari is the BEST I ever had, hands down) and their coffee panacota for dessert is also out of this world, just amazing! If you are a bread lover just know they make their own bread in house. 5 stars always!

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

Perfectly cooked pasta. "Everything is homemade," Angelo explained later. Smart and fairly well-priced wine list. While the inside of the restaurant isn't large (note they have a larger back patio area as well) it's cozy and parties of two may share a larger, communal table which can be a nice way to make friends should you choose. As others have noted it's a BYOB place with a convenient local wine-shop just a minute or two nearby. The menu changes regularly though we got many of the classics that have stayed on the menu (only missing the Angry Chicken which we'll get next time). The pastas were delicious though I wish the rigatoni was a bit saucier and really enjoyed the ravioli which had a lighter, mid-summer flavor with some pine-nuts for extra texture. The ricotta bread and honey was tasty though a large portion for two people and we felt that the standout was the halibut. My only complaint is the 3% mandatory card-processing fee (which at least is prominently displayed).
