Dr. Lisa is works wonders! I highly recommend her (plus her spa is super clean, updated and decorated adorably)! I came in for my very first acupuncture treatment ever about a month ago. I had a virus that my Primary care doctor couldn't diagnose. It was 15 days from the onset of symptoms and while I was slowly getting better, my low fevers and unique symptoms like swelling in my face still were not going away. To start the appointment she spent so much time talking to me about my symptoms (from bad sleep to incessantly cold feet) and what each meant from the Traditional Eastern Medicine method of diagnosis. We talked about my current eating habits vs what I should be eating to give my body what it needed to get back in balance and heal. I was ALL ears and although I'm usually nervous, I felt completely at ease in her care. After the consultation portion, she completed the acupuncture treatment, focusing on areas hat were specific to what she felt my body needed at the time. She even helped me with some breathing techniques (amazing and restorative in their own right) during the treatment and by the time I went home I had already seen/felt a big difference. (My toes are never cold anymore) I have already been back and plan to keep it up monthly as long as I can. Incredible experience with great lasting results. Dr. Lisa is super friendly and knowledgeable in the field of Chinese Medicine and also wellness and beauty. I was referred to this spa by Dr. Lisa Jeong from Millbrae. She recognized I was suffering from Acne and I've never gotten a Facial in my life before. Before I write about my experience, let me just say this spa is beautiful. Very well put together. 5 Stars all the Way. What else do you expect after a few weeks of Grand Opening. It's clean and refreshing to walk into a Spa w/o laying down on dirty stained sheets. The Facial -- was painful but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Truth is, I didn't go solo. I bought my wife with me. I still wanted her reassurance to do this facial with me, hey, it's my first time. The esthetician Anna, gave me an amazing facial. All I can say is the next day, my acne cleared and I bought a few products to follow up with regime. I thoroughly enjoyed having someone massage my face for about 60 mins, I fell asleep the last 15 mins or so. My wife got the collagen and whitening therapy from another employee. I forgot to ask her name. Overall, we will definitely be back. Reasonable Rates. Parking can be challenging since it's like Spa Row there. I went here to try one of the sauna pods after my friend had recommended me this place. This was my first experience using a sauna pod and I was not disappointed!! Prior to this, I was a bit scared because I've never been to a sauna before and I get really irritated with hot weather/temperature but this is completely different! This sauna pod did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. It made me feel very de-stressed and relaxed. Everything about it was so relaxing that you would be able to fall asleep. There's also an alexa speaker so you can listen to the music of your choice while you're in the pod. This is a great place to get work done for my ailments. So far I've had several treatments of TCM which include acupuncture, cupping, tui na and the taking of herbs. All of these treatments has helped with my tennis elbow, sore muscles, pinch nerves and insomnia. But in general the acupuncture and tui na helps to rejuvenate my mind as well as my body. I feel like a new person after each session. And just recently I've tried the pods for the first time and I actually felt like I lost some pounds. If anything I can feel all the toxins leaving my body. Lisa will try to physically understand you and your problem and from there she'll reccomend the course of action. The place is very clean, have that peaceful vibe and Lisa is very accommodating and friendly. During that visit I saw she had cupping therapy and body massage. I did the dry pod for 40 mins where your whole body is in a dry sauna pod and light is emitted. After the session I felt more alert and my joints felt much better. I came here because I was having pain and weakness in my shoulders and arms. Dr. Tao was able to pinpoint the issues, perform acupuncture, and suggest exercises that I could do at home to heal. Dr. Tao also prescribed a mixture of herbs that he personally tailored to my needs (I haven't gotten this anywhere else!). After taking the pills he prescribed, some of the things I noticed is I feel less stressed, have fewer cramps, have more energy, and feel healthier. The atmosphere is exactly what you would want from a spa, and more. It's relaxing and open. I haven't tried the other services yet but based on my experience and interactions with the staff, I'm looking forward to their other services. I started seeing Dr Jeong for shin splints, which resolved after 2 appointments! Since then, I will see her when I've had muscle spasms or anxiety. Most recently I have started see her more regularly for holistic health which has been most helpful. I was seeing at Dr Lisa at Life Acupuncture and she had told me about her new spa in San Mateo. I thought I would give it a try since I loved receiving Acupuncture treatments from her for my chronic shoulder pain from my line of work. Dr. Lisa always makes my shoulder back to normal again. First off, the location was great. Right on 25th Ave., and I had no problem finding parking right in front. The clinic was modern, tastefully furnished and most importantly...CLEAN. The esthetician Anna was the person who did my facial, eyelash extensions and wax. I had the collagen facial which was about 60 mins which also included a mini massage on the shoulders and neck. Anna was polite and quiet but I didn't mind because I wanted to relax during my "me time". Then I got my lashes done after my facial and my lashes turned out great, natural but full, just as I like them. No complaints here. Loving them!!! It's only been a week and a half but they are still holding up great. My last thing I got from my appt was a Brazilian wax. They used the blue hard wax, not the cheap liquidity wax that a lot of nail salons use, so pain was minimal. So to sum it up, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! I am a physician trained in western medicine and I have always integrated my health treatments with Chinese medicine. I have had acupuncture for over 10 years now and I can say that Dr. Jeong is certainly in the top 1% of her field. My health has improved dramatically since I have seen her. I lost 27 pounds and my skin looks amazing. I don't have any more joint pain and my asthma and irritable bowel syndrome are gone. Dr. Jeong knows what she is doing! I got treated before by Dr. Jeong for Bell's palsy and I was pretty much healed up. For some reason though, my face started to feel stiff again (been about a year since I've felt my bell's palsy come back, gotta take care of myself better). So I decided to go see her again at this newly opened Spa she had opened. I got acupuncture for my face and a meridian therapy to top it off. The meridian therapy was something new. It was a machine that helps open up the meridian channels by applying micro electrical stimulation. I was also feeling a bit of pain and had really stiff calves so I decided to get the meridian therapy for my calves also. To my delight! after getting these treatment I instantly felt results. My face was almost back to normal and my calves no longer hurt and didn't feel like my calves had rocks in them. I was even more surprised when I woke up the next day, shaved and ran my had across my face. It was actually really smooth!
