I think I order from Life Alive at least twice when I'm in the area on business (which is frequent). Their delivery packaging is excellent - I've gotten soup and drinks that always arrive at a great temperature despite traveling from Dedham to Canton. I think that what I love the most is you're eating food that's good for you, but it still tastes delicious and not like you're depriving yourself of anything. Their cold pressed juices are DELICIOUS - the Morning Moxie is one of my favorite juices ever and the beet juice is also delicious. The avocado greens salad with the everything crusted avocado is SO good and the Mexicali Tostada salad is another of my favorites (I always get extra dressing of each - it's SO good). I've also ordered the Chili Garlic noodles that have the perfect amount of heat with the gochujang sauce. The avocado chocolate mousse is the perfect way to end a meal - it is a go-to for me EVERY time I order (and I'm not usually a dessert person). It's so indulgent and delicious - highly recommend! The portions here are also massive so a salad or bowl can easily be two meals, which is another positive. I am so happy that there is a place selling plant-based whole food!! And such a variety of it - salads, grain bowls , wraps, soups and noodle dishes. Why aren't there more places like this?!? We have tried the LA and the Mediterranean salads, as well as the Buddha and Green Goddess bowls. The salads are next-level - all very fresh ingredients, and the dressings are healthy. Major kudos to Life Alive for BAKING the falafel instead of FRYING them. Many of the salads have chickpeas and-or edamame, also one or two with lentils, which add plant-based protein. My only disappointment was with the Green Goddess rice bowl - WAY too much rice; not nearly enough kale. Very bland. Also, THE BROCCOLI WAS FROZEN!!! This is a shame, as every other single vegetable (including the beets) were fresh. Broccoli should be fresh and crispy - never frozen and steamed - but that is my only complaint. Everything else is superb, and I hope they draw more people in and the business succeeds! read more

Every time I am in the shopping mood and find myself at Legacy Place or Copley/Prudential area, I always pass by Life Alive Organic Cafe when I'm circling around looking for parking. It definitely made me curious about what their menu entailed because what is this cafe that keeps popping up everywhere I go? So, I finally decided to go inside to see for myself! Life Alive Cafe offers an array of different food options, from açaí bowls, smoothie, breakfast food, and lattes to noodles, salads, grain bowls, and wraps... made with fresh, organic ingredients only + from scratch daily! And not to mention, the interior of the cafe is absolutely gorgeous & humongous! I can see this being a perfect place to either chill, grab a quick bite, or even go get some work done. The day I visited, I really wanted to try their peanut butter noodles but I wasn't too hungry, so I opted for a hot chai latte. OH, it was so good! Literally, could not think of anything else I'd rather drink on that cold, rainy day. They also made it so quickly too, which I very much appreciated! Staff is super kind and helpful. Ive always loved this place - I do think you need to be mindful what you order not because dishes are not "good" just a little out there - like I got mushroom udon, I like mushrooms and udon but still...too strong or I dunno, just get the more traditional items if you are not a full veggie head... and you will love. Had a lovely meal here today! I started with the delectable butternut spice latte. I never would have thought to put squash with coffee but somehow it worked perfectly. It led a sweet creaminess and felt wholesome and made me feel more energized. We also got the falafel wrap and the Taco Verde bowl. Both were so well seasoned with savory sauces. I loved the taco meat and the spicy salsa that lingered in my mouth. The falafel is very soft and crumbly and also very well seasoned. The menu is very diverse and unique that has a lot of options for someone looking to eat sustainable and fresh food. The ambiance inside is very nice. It's a little loud but has good energy. The decorations make it a great spot for studying (there's plenty of outlets) or catching up with a friend. There's also different types of seating inside (couches, small tables, booths, and bar) so it's an eclectic environment. The service is really good! People are nice and the waiters bring the food to your table. Be sure to look at the menu before hand as there are a lot of different options that can be overwhelming. I ordered the ocean blue latte, which looks pretty and tastes great. There's a light coconut/maca flavor which doesn't overpower the drink. This place has healthy vegan grain bowls and noodles. When walking in, we ordered at the counter. I ordered Peanut noodles and my friend ordered a grain bowl. It was a nice day outside so we sat outside. Both bowls were delicious. I like peanuts with my food in general so the noodles were great. The grain bowl is nicely balanced with ingredients and sauce and it was warm which is my preferred meal temperature most of the time. I came to Live Alive's legacy place location for the first time today. The outside is so aesthetic and cute. I have been wanting to check it out. Inside is also super cool, lots of seating-couches, tables, booths, etc. Nice lightning and fun, colorful decor. Would be a good spot to bring a computer and do work or study. They have a large menu with salads, bowls, açaí, smoothies, wraps, and more. You can make any salad or bowl into a wrap for 1$ extra so I got the farmhouse Cobb in a wrap. It was good, tasted fresh. Pretty large portion too. Although, not worth 17$... This spot is definitely pricy. Typically when I am in the area I opt for sweet green or cava right across the street which are both cheaper and just as tasty. My family and I went to the restaurant and we were all taken aback by how bad the food was that we made a list of 31 bad things about our experience: 1. Received a fork for soup 2. No meat available in any of the dishes. I get vegans gotta eat but a single chicken option or something would have gone a long way. 3. The staff put the wrong order on our table and walked away without saying anything 4. The staff didn't come back for around 8 minutes to retrieve the wrong order 5. When we arrived, our table was covered in the dishes of the last people who ate there 6. Our water pitcher was nearly empty and nobody refilled it the whole time 7. The water cups are the smallest that I have ever seen in any restaurant I have been to in my life 8. The teriyaki tofu was largely unseasoned 9. There was very little tofu in the teriyaki tofu 10. The teriyaki tofu was not cooked at all, there was 0 crunch or anything. It was like eating a balloon 11. The bowl was very hot, yet the food was completely cold 12. The shitake ramen had one singular shitake in the whole thing (cut into 2 pieces) 13. The sugar in the dispenser was impossible to get out as it had all clumped together 14. The wicker chair was very hard 15. The water was weirdly sour and room temperature 16. There was very little egg in the ramen 17. The ramen was generally flavorless and bad 18. The coffee selections were poor 19. No alcohol was available 20. The eggplant order was not available 21. The spoon was visibly unwashed and dirty when we received it 22. The assai bowl was puny 23. Our menu had stains on it 25. We had to take our dishes away ourselves 26. Our ramen bowl was still half full (because it tasted terrible) when we were done and there was nowhere to put wet dishes so we had to pour it out into the compost. Very awkward! 28. The bathroom sink pours out exclusively cold water, which along with being unpleasant, makes me concerned about the staff handwashing. Given the many other review's mentions of hair and debris in food I am guessing the staff have largely given up on washing their hands. 29. The kid's menu is riddled with typos 30. The kids menu is tilted at a 10 degree angle and some words go off the page as a result 31. Despite there being almost no service, the tip screen still proposed a minimum tip of 15-25%, to the non-existent waiters Obviously some of these points are more petty than others, but I do not recommend dining here. Even if you are a vegan or vegetarian there are far better options than this restaurant in the local area. Vegan and vegetarian food is full of excellent options and this restaurant is far below the standard. read more

Butternut spice "latte" was amazing, not sure why it's called a latte if no coffee is involved but i still loved it, i ordered it warm, it was hearty and had a very nutty flavor. If you love pumpkin you'll like this butternut squash drink; the nutmeg, cinnamon and maple really draws out the flavor. The hummus was very good, it tasted fresh and earthy. The dill and thinly sliced cucumbers added to that refreshing taste. Loved the crispy chickpeas as they added texture. The whole grain pita chips were pretty good as well. We have been wanting to try this place for years, and finally got up here! it did not disappoint. We placed an order online, for a falafel wrap and a teriyaki tofu, and arrived before the ready time we had chosen. We had no trouble parking, and then sat in the very comfortable pickup area while we watched for our food. It ended up being slightly early, but the person working still apologized for the wait! We appreciated the bulk containers of hot sauce, salt, etc. We took the food outside to a lovely and comfortable set of tables with umbrellas. It was fun to watch people walk around the bustling area. The portions were larger than expected, and could have been enough for leftovers. It was hot and high quality - delicious. The rice was cooked properly (some places leave it crunchy). We really liked the numerous ingredients and interesting options. Both of our wraps did immediately fall apart, so we were glad we took sporks. One other thing we'd love to see is a checkbox system where we could customize items exactly how we'd like, without being annoying. For instance, maybe I'd like to build a bowl with falafel, avocado, teriyaki sauce, and other stuff that no one thinks should go together. It is great that there are plenty of vegetables (I have so many ideas for my next order) and it's not all deep fried goodies. We will definitely be back! The cashier was missing for almost 15 min when we arrived, there was a line behind us and about 12 people left, I asked a kitchen employee about the cashier and she finally came out, with an attitude. They "forget" to modify your food as you request after you've been told it'll come out the way you want it. Food is delicious in my opinion. One of my favorites is the spicy noodles. Also love the hot mint tea. They just steep a bunch of mint leaves and it's so so good and comforting especially on a cold winter day. The atmosphere is super comforting and accommodating to the bring-your-lap-top-to-dinner types...me :) Comfy couches with pillows and music that isn't distracting.
