First time at Sweetgreen. Ordered online via their app and while picking up, decided to dine in vs takeout. The place was empty around 8 pm when we went. We reached first but our bowls took a little time to be ready. Got the new miso glazed salmon bowl and the chicken fajita bowl. Both were quite good. The salmon, while tasty, didn't have any of the umami miso flavor. But the bowl still works when you combine everything together (rice, cucumber, pickled onions, and dressing). The chicken in the fajita bowl was cooked until it was just tender, yum. There was a lot of corn and pepper mix vs the amount of chicken. Again, once you mixed all the individual elements, this bowl was quite good too. I wouldn't say the service was friendly but no qualms about it either as other folks mentioned in previous reviews perhaps because we went much later in the day when there was no rush. The only annoying thing was that there was jazz music playing in the dining area while another playlist was playing in the cooking area and ooof, that "medley" was rough to listen to all through dinner. Overall, I'd say we enjoyed the bowls but will question if they're worth approx 15-16 per bowl especially considering their portion sizes which are on the smaller side. read more

The redhead lady takes her job very seriously and is a professional in the food service field, she also helps to maintain the stores clean work place. When I've been there, the service has never been below average, and online orders for takeout are always ready on time. This restaurant stays current and entertaining thanks to its interchangeable menu for each season. Prices are reasonable, unless you make your own salad. That can accumulate quickly. Ingredients are constantly fresh, and they very rarely run out of things you might want. I typically get the Kale Caesar salad or alternate with the Harvest Bowl and add my own twist to it. My favorites are the harvest bowl and green goddess salad. I also make my own every once in a while which is nice if I want to switch things up. The toppings do get expensive though since some are "premium". For a salad these are pretty filling. The drinks are nice too, I really like the hibiscus tea. Its been a while since I've been to sweetgreen as I've been on a CAVA binge for 9 plus months. It's pretty legit here, healthy ass food and it's reasonably priced. The only quibble I have is that they didn't give much chicken for my glutinous standards so I paid $3 more for extra. It was well worth it as it was FILLING AF. Food is always good, very fresh but the service is terrible. They are so incredibly slow that it's almost a talent. They all move like sloths. I recently relocated from the Boston area to the Providence area and one thing I really miss about Boston is Sweetgreen, Sweetgreen everywhere. Sweetgreen in the Prudential, Fenway, Chestnut Hill. This Sweetgreen in Dedham is the closest to me and is also conveniently located in Legacy Place pleasantly sandwiched somewhere Whole Foods and Lululemon. I came in last week for my beloved Guacamole Greens, no chicken, sub in goat cheese. There was a long line. The guy making my salad seemed a little disturbed that I didn't want chicken on my salad but wanted goat cheese. He didn't ask how much dressing I wanted or if I'd like a piece of bread. He seemed to hate life. Salad was good but I didn't appreciate the vibes from the employees. People seemed miserable. This SG could learn a lot from the one is used to frequent in the Pru where the employees were way more friendly and upbeat. read more

Although other reviews mention this SG belong inferior to its sister locations in the Boston area, I can affirm this sweet green was 100% what I expected. I don't need a faux pepster to toss my salad to have a pleasant experience. I did not have any sanitation issues with my food or the environment. What happened to sweet green?? I used to come here to get a favorite salad for a treat. Haven't been in a while and the place is completely disorganized! Half the line and everyone was struggling to get people their orders. Nobody got their order right or what they needed, utensils, napkins etc. the workers seemed really stressed but there were not a lot of people in the store- the one thing that stuck with me was the young red head that kept yelling at everyone- 2 people told they didn't get their order right and she insisted that thats what they told her-- even so It shouldn't be hard to get the customer what the wanted. I asked if they had hibiscus tea and the girl with a nasty attitude nonchalantly pointed me "over there." After serving myself I walk back to the cash register to pay and the eye rolling and huffing this girl did was straight up rude. I paid, said thank you because I'm a polite person... and not even a peep of acknowledgment back. Onto the hibiscus tea: brought it out to the car and my boyfriend said it tasted like dirty water. Agreed. Hey I knew what I was ordering - a 0 gram sugar drink - but I have expectations. There was no sourness, no flavour other than dirty water. Four employees standing in front of me, nobody says a word, another approaches the pack and in only slightly offset unison they all ask if I'm being helped. Made eye contact with one, who was promptly told to get more baby spinach by another, who looked to the next person in line, and... well, it was chaotic. Good thing I was at the front of the lunch rush. Nancy's Chopped Salad and the Buffalo Chicken Bowl are slam dunks at any sweetgreen, but for proficient ordering and a zen like lunch experience, you may want to look elsewhere - Dedham's got the hiccups. read more

I absolutely love sweetgreen but this is location is unfortunately terrible. I agree with the other reviewers regarding the service. When ordering, I always feel as if I'm inconveniencing the staff, as demonstrated by their eyerolls, mumbling, and their general lack of enthusiasm. A lone server had to yell at four servers sitting down eating salads in the dining area three times to get up and help him. The ratio of employees chopping and prepping in the back to line servers is greatly skewed, which hurts the efficiency of the line movement. I find a lot of times I have to guide my food server through the preparation of my salad/bowl more than should be necessary, and they are not familiar with ingredients or how the ingredients should be dispersed (Ex, I had an employee add as much cilantro to my base as if it were a leafy green base, not a topping. They did not know what beets were on another visit). Some will LOAD my salad with way too much chicken or way too many premium ingredients (which is generally appreciated but causes the salads to be hard to eat or disproportioned). I wouldn't be shocked if sweetgreen was losing money off of improperly measured ingredients. This also changes the caloric content advertised. Some of the employees here are very quick, efficient, enthusiastic and kind, but as a whole, I think they could benefit from better staff training or an overhaul. Also, for a new(ish) location, they should be MUCH cleaner. This location is a HUGE contrast to the speedy, enthusiastic, and cleaner location at Market Street in Lynnfield. I was wowed by the clear system and momentum they had going during my visit to that sweetgreen. I do hope they can improve, as they are the only sweetgreen in the general vicinity. read more
