I'm a total believer of Dr. Nick after my last appointment. I've been seeing Dr. Nick since the beginning of this year but this last time, my lower back was in absolute pain! So I decided to see Dr. Nick before seeing my general doctor and he knew exactly what was causing it. He worked his magic and told me that my back was going to be sore the next couple days. Exactly after 2 days, the pain was completely gone. I can't remember what he did but it's been 11 days since the appointment and I still have no pain. I have been following Dr. Nick ever since my daughter was eight or nine years old. She is now 25yrs. Often times she tells me mommy I need Dr. Nick as she lives out of town. So, when she comes into town, I make sure she have a visit with Fr. Nick before she goes back. When you find a good doctor that you're satisfied with you stay with them as long as you can and that is what I've done. I hurt my coccyx/tailbone back in January of this year while working out (either from squatting or hip thrusting) and I'd been ridden with an obnoxious ache that would flare up every time I sat for too long right above and/or at my tailbone. He's a swell guy and the treatment actually got my pain down to a point where it's barely noticeable anymore. I saw Dr. Nick yesterday for the first time. I purchased a Groupon initially to see Dr. Nick and will be returning for another adjustment and the massage portion of the Groupon on Monday 10/29. He is a terrific Chiropractor. I have seen chiropractors in the past and always felt like I was getting the "hard sell" to purchase packages or more treatments. Dr. Nick made recommendations for my issues of my neck and jaw pain but there were no sales pitches or sales tactics used. I felt he was very professional. I had my exam and adjustment and the table massage treatment and noticed a difference within a couple of hours. Last night was the first night in a week that I slept through the entire night and I woke up this morning with very little neck pain and minimized jaw pain. The prices for his adjustments are extremely fair, and because I do not have insurance, I will certainly be utilizing Dr. Nick's affordable services to keep my neck and back in proper alignment. My wife and I found Life Performance Chiropractic in a Living Social deal, and went there for the first time while my wife was in her first trimester of our first pregnancy (she is now officially in the third trimester). Dr. Nick and his masseuse were very pleasant to deal with and very professional. More importantly, they are very engaging in the way they work with you. They ask about what you do for a living and what other types of day-to-day activities you do that may impact the health of your body and talk you through what they are doing to give you the proper treatments. Dr. Nick is quick to impart of his knowledge and doesn't seem the least bit threatened in telling you about specifics. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I ask questions from other chiropractors, they seem to want to be very reserved in their answers, for whatever reason. I don't get that feeling with Nick. I first found Dr. Nick through an Amazon Local (or similar) deal a few years ago after I injured my neck at work and was desperate for help. I'd tried one other chiropractor before and didn't have a very good experience, so I was nervous about trying again. However, that nervousness was completely gone after my first visit. Dr. Nick is friendly and easy to talk to, which made me feel comfortable right off the bat. More importantly, he is thorough, intuitive, listens carefully to his patients, and takes his time on the first visit to determine the severity of the problem and recommend a treatment plan. I started feeling a LOT better after just a few adjustments and continued to seek his help to keep my neck and back in good shape (I sit for 11-12 hours a day and my body pays for it). Like others have mentioned, Dr. Nick's fees are also very reasonable, especially for the level of care he provides. He has also been very accommodating when I have had to change or cancel appointments, sometimes at the last minute. I agree with the other reviewer who said that he truly seems to be in this job for his patients rather than the $ - I think that's very true! I haven't been to see Dr. Nick in a while because I moved, but I'm definitely planning to make an appointment soon (he has another office in the OC). I highly recommend him to anyone who needs chiropractic care!
