I just recently purchased a water dispenser and found myself in need of purchasing and refilling 5 gallon water containers. I was pretty happy to find a water refill store near my home. When I looked at the yelp reviews online, they were pretty inconsistent, so I was not sure what to expect. I will say that I was pretty pleased with the cleanliness of the store and the ability to self refill my water containers. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and we struck up a conversation about our crazy weather we have had in the past month. I liked that the place also had candy bars and other light snacks and drinks if anyone shows to purchase them. They even sold lottery tickets! The price was very reasonable and I was very happy with the taste of the water. I will continue to refill my waters at this business! read more

I love this place. I have been coming here for years and they just installed a new State of the Art, top of the line water purification system that has more filters and is faster! I have seen nothing but clean pure water and friendly staff. They also have snacks and phone and iPad repair, Eyebrow threading and more. Needless to say I come here often and get my Lottery and water weekly read more

Omg!!!! They have roaches coming out of the faucet. I came in and no one was there to greet me. There's a button that's tape broken. I wanted to see if maybe it was lies and they didn't want us to use the button. As I push the button. Six roaches of different size came crawling out of the button, and moving around the tape. I'm going to have to open an investigation with the city. The roaches are residing in the same equipment as the water that's being dispersed into our containers. I was so disgusted.I had to grab my jugs and sit in the car for a second. As I was sitting in the car, I saw another family coming to fill their water up. I told them about what I just witnessed and they decided to leave too. It's disgustingly that they're still servicing people, knowing that they have a roach infestation in their water. Kind of pricey for water. Cheaper somewhere else. But I'm only to support a local business so that's definitely why I went.

First time coming here. Will update the review if things change. Not sure why it has such low reviews. Customer service: I personally don't care about the customer service. It's a self serve water place. That being said, customer service was very nice and they seemed pretty helpful. I asked them if I could test the water before I bought any and they were really cool about it and explained their process to me a little bit. Water quality and price: This is all I really cared about. I have a TDS water tester and I'm sick of the variety of grocery stores water stations I'm use to. Sometimes the water tests pretty clean but it's not uncommon for grocery store water to be basically tap water with very minimal filtering. Recently 2 local grocery stores near to me were broken and the third tested at 090 (the number represents how much stuff is in the water). So I drove to the next town (elk grove) and found this place. I've been testing places here and there for awhile and these are the rates I've found over the past couple years (the vaules werent all done at the same time and some numbers could be over 3 years old, many places were only tested once): Galt tap: 115 Galt tap through Fridge with a filter (changed regularly per the manufacturer guidelines): 103 Raleys in galt: 002 Savemart in galt: 102/recent test (varies sometimes its okay) Great value bottle water: 022 Walmart refill station in galt: 002-090 (varies). Normally it was good but about 6 months ago it was consistently testing about 090. Manteca tap water: 109 Pure life (elk grove) regular water: 000 or 001 Pure life (elk grove) alkaline water: 007 The Pure life water kept coming in at 000 and I thought my tester had finally broke. Ive seen 000 before with some expensive water filters in the past. I retested it 4 times and I saw it said 001 once. The alkaline water tested at 007. The grocery store price for water refills is somewhere around 35-45 cents a gallon. This place is 25 cents and 1 dollar for alkaline. You can buy a prepaid card and it makes it even cheaper. I'll never go to a grocery store water station again. Needless to say, this is the best water I've come across in awhile and it's way cheaper than the grocery store. A long time ago when I lived in another area I would go to a water store and the people that worked there would talk to me about how it's really worth it to go to a place that specializes in water. I thought that was just salesmanship but I was wrong. Also: they have large carts to help you move several big jugs to your car (way better than a shopping cart, depending on the store i can usually fit around 4-7 5 gallon jugs in a cart, these carts are easier and you can carry more if thats your thing. Also, you can refill several bottles at once. read more

Nice self service water dispensing locations, that also provides various items similar to a local convenience store. You can come in with your refillable large water containers and choose standard filtered water, or even alkaline water for a little more than the basic filtered water. I've come in here in several occasions when the water filtration place closer to my house is closed. And with refilling your large multi-gallon water containers, you can purchase a 25 or even 50 gal filtered water card. For a quicker in an out process with future trips. I'm not sure the reasoning though but the lady who operates the location seems to take a slight issue with not using the same water card number. Because when I came in here to purchase water before she asked if I had a water refill card, which I do have but it was with my girlfriend. So I purchased another card so we can have two, and the next time when we came in she was asking us about the card number to reference you books. Not sure why exactly but either way if you have the card or not, checking it off shouldn't be as much of an issue. Unless she checking for accounting purposes. read more

Omg I can't believe I did it. I went here for the first time. I bought a 5 gallon water container and she charged me 38.00 with a water dispenser. I needed alkaline water. So I bought it to find out that's why there is no prices on the water bottle she charges how much she wants depending on the person buying it. I will not go back for water what a rip off. Karma!!! Plus the alkaline water isn't clean or clear. I won't go here ever again even though it's around the corner from my door step. Ugh disappointing!! read more

I always try to give different mom & pop businesses a chance, and when I noticed Life Pure Water, I decided to drop in, as I could fill my water bottles up and also purchase my lottery tickets. I will not return. I don't know what it is with certain ethnicities, but some seem predisposed to anger, and/or scorn to African-Americans. If you're black, you know what I mean. Especially when the clerk gives you that look of disgust when you try to make a purchase. I was hoping to make this a regular stop as it's much closer than the other water store that I go to, but, as I stated earlier, I will not return. There's a sign outside the door that says "Mask Required," but when you walk in you see customers without masks on and the owner doesn't care. She doesn't even wear a mask. They act like Covid-19 is fake because they don't enforce mask wearing. There's also no social distancing. I literally walked in to 5 customers not wearing masks and the owner plus her friend were not wearing masks too. So I'm keeping my distance as I wait for the 3 men that are together filling their water and as 2 of the men carry some bottles out, 1 guy stands there and the owner is telling me the button to clean the inside of the bottle is broken. She expects me to stand in between the guy with no mask on and a lady, who's also wearing no mask. I would only be 2 feet apart from them. You can't expect good customer service here either. If you walk in while the owner is texting or playing with her iPhone, she'll tell you she'll be right with you, but continues to be on her phone for at least 30 seconds before getting off her seat. You can tell how cheap the owners are because they didn't replace the button to rinse the bottles and it's been about 2 weeks since I was last there and it was still missing the push button. I live next to a water store that is always closed, and their water dispesning machines are always on the fritz. This place is consistent, the owners are friendly, and mutli-taskers. This place is also a venue to get your eyebrows plucked as well. I always get alkaline water- and they offer it here for I believe 25 cents a gallon. read more
