    What a beautiful day!!
    Desmond S.

You don't just join Life Time Fitness for the gym. You join for the experience. We've all seen the movies where someone has the country club membership and spends lots of time there. Well, that's Life Time. You can spend a day here easily. They have incredible workout machines, a great and friendly staff, and the amenities are awesome. There's even a hair salon. The childcare facility is pretty great also. My kids don't like getting dropped off, but they don't mind being dropped off at Life Time. In the summertime we usually end up with a pool visit. The indoor pool has slides and a kid section. There's also a lap pool for those that want to get serious. Speaking of pool visit, the outside pool is something you don't want to miss. It's like a Vegas resort feel to it, except that it has kids. Yeah yeah I know, kids kinda throw off the vibe, but not really since I have kids. There are speakers around the perimeter of the pool and the staff is on point. I'm a lover of the coed sauna and spend a lot of time there. Unlike some of my other gyms memberships, the sauna is never out of order. I love ending my workout with a lot of heat. It just feels right. This place is huge and I gotta be honest, I'm yet to try a lot of the activities they have. I'd like to eventually try the yoga and the bike classes, but as always with the gym, it's easy to make excuses. I've never had a trainer from Lifetime, but I've heard they are pretty awesome. I watch them sometimes and they are very dedicated to thier trade. Again I will say. This is the gym you want to join and not go to. It's not priced to be forgotten. But if you enjoy being spoiled and working out in a location that caters to a higher demographic - this place is for you.

"is prohibited" but staff doesn't seem to care.

My trainer, Jessie, has been truly transformative for me. By consistently working out 3x a week, I've lost 40 lbs. since March. Despite my history of knee surgeries and spinal issues, Jessie's extensive knowledge and expertise ensure my safety and proper technique, preventing any setbacks. The private training rooms at NexGen alleviate my social anxiety, making my workouts stress-free. The privacy alone justifies the cost. Jessie's support helps counter my self-doubt, with his fist-bumps and encouraging words after each session reminding me of my progress, both physically and mentally. All of the staff at this location--Jessie, Noah, Cameo, and Bryson--are the nicest and most encouraging people you will ever meet! You will never feel intimidated here. They tailor the workouts to your needs and limitations. I can't recommend them enough!

Been with this gym for six months now. Had a decent relationship with my trainer, Bryant, until…read morestay at home orders. First, I told him I would continue paying him until I could get back in the gym. This is because I appreciate the toll it takes to own and run a business during a time such as this. He has a family and partners and I sympathize with that. For multiple reasons, I did not feel the same respect from him. My girlfriend and I made mention of the fact that her son has asthma, which puts him at a much higher risk of DEATH if he catches COVID-19. Bryant's response was short and un-remorseful. I asked him several times to help with at-home workouts, trying to get some sort of semblance of my money's worth. He did very little to help and ignored me multiple times. No checking up on me, no "hey how are your home workouts going?" "Is there anything I can do to help?" "Let me know if you need anything." Nothing. When my girlfriend, who was subbing yoga teaching as partial payment for her competition prep, told him that she was unable to teach yoga because of the stay at home orders and, again, her son has asthma and he is at higher risk, his response was "K". Absolutely no commitment to my experience as a paying customer other than "you can show up to the gym [illegally, risking your health and the health of those around you] and train." And then, when I asked for a refund for services that I WILL NOT BE RECEIVING, his response was basically "no." (Text screenshot attached). Notice we had a deal that I would help them with their social media as well. What I do for a living and charge $125 an hour to do. More than double what Bryant's time is worth. Because, I enjoy helping when I can. I advise anyone who is in the market for gyms and trainers to be very careful when making your selection as this is a small glimpse into the reality and their values and principles as business owners.

So torn how to rate them because I love the idea of the place, but it's just so filthy. I've seen…read moreso many reviews of how clean they are, but in my experience, it's the dirtiest gym I've ever been. I see some of the trainers push around a mini dust buster or use dirty, dust coated dusters pushing around more dust and dirt, but I've never seen anything be sanitized or any cleaning products come out. The corners of the gym and the bottom of every machine are coated in dirt and dust. The sign in desk is always coated in a layer of dust. They don't even bother to turn on the fans anymore because they are so dusty. I mean COATED. Speaking of fans, it's always boiling hot in there. It's uncomfortable. They need to spend a little money and have the place professionally cleaned minimum once a week. All other gyms I've belonged to hired DAILY cleaners. I don't think once a week, especially when they're only open 6 days, in a building where people sweat and touch things all day, is asking too much. They also need to get rid of their (basically empty) glade plug ins. Somehow the gym rarely smells, which is great, but those plug ins emit VOCs and are terrible for your lungs. That's the last thing you need to worry about in a gym where breathing is key. And crank up the AC year round. I know it's expensive, but that's the nature of the business. I wish they had a few more machines, but for the size of the place they have a nice set up. It could be a great little neighborhood gym. I enjoy going, I'm just always worried about getting overheated or sick. They have a good thing going here. Everyone is nice and respectful. Just needs some TLC.

In addition to the treadmill for 45 minutes, I am also working out with weights. Jonathon is a very methodical trainer. We get a lot done in those 30 minutes of weight training. Jonathon is an excellent communicator. He enjoys talking and making sure that your form is on par. He genuinely cares about his clients. The gym is very adequately furnished. The price of membership is very reasonable. I believe it is only $20 per month. There are no children allowed in the facility. I will continue to come here six days a week and train. Since starting, I have lost over 60 pounds.

It's generally very clean and it's a relaxing place to work out. My only real complaint is that several of the machines need lubrication and basic maintenance. I've told staff about them but they haven't addressed it. Also several of the machines are bent/crooked and have holes in the padding. I'm tempted to bring a tube of grease with me and do the maintenance myself. It takes seconds to reach into the weight area and add some grease to the rails. The tricep extension machine has a very crooked bar. IT's 4 degrees off level (the part you hold onto and push down with both hands) which puts unequal pressure on your wrists and elbows with each rep. Leg Extension Machine to the left of the leg press has really bad chatter greater than 140lbs which prevents it form operating smoothly. If you do a rep too fast the weight gets grabby and gets stuck. This HURTS. Dependent Bicep Curl machine is bent and missing a palm sized piece of padding where you lay your elbows. The handgrip arm is bent at an angle and is not level. This makes doing reps awkward and crooked and hurts your left wrist. The chest press machine directly behind the seated row machine and closer to the dumbell area is badly in need of lubrication. Anything over 100lbs and the force to get the bar moving goes up exponentially and it chatters and has jerky motion. The weights moving up and down on the metal rails get grabby and don't move smoothly. The seated row machine by the chest press also needs lubrication. Anything greater than 200lbs and you almost can't move the bar, then it suddenly becomes unstuck and moves normally until you do your next rep. It sometimes squeaks and chatters loudly when this happens.
