Lifetime is doing a lot for the kids now which I really appreciate. I almost left the gym after kids activities and child care times started getting cut last year, but the new kids schedule is pretty amazing. I'm glad this gym is so family friendly. Im outraged at the customer service of this gym! I went for a few months and then talked to a gym member about cancelling my membership. We went back to his office and at the end of the talk in where I explained I was moving out he assured me the cancellation was already done and that I was only going to pay for the last month. I did it in November because I knew I had to cancel one month before leaving. Anyways, they have been charging me since then and after many attempts of contact,they still ignore me and recently just told me they dont have a proper signature! I think this can be qualified as theft and and most of all disrespect to a costumer, to whom you gave a word contract and still dont do anything about after knowing the whole truth. Thoroughly dissapointed! I used to think so highly of this gym but now I can only feel regret of ever going there. read more

Love the gym itself but poor customer service this evening. I finally get my boyfriend to come and check out the gym with me and he is denied because they do not allow "guests" enter after a certain time. The gentleman would not make an exception for me which in turn ruined my workout for the night. I'm pretty sure 24 Hour Fitness allows guests at anytime, may consider other options for membership. If someone is spending their money and hardly EVER uses the guest past to reap no benefits the price does not equate to being logical any longer. Also, you lost a potential client. read more

I'm in love with LTF. When I joined, I was just over 300 lbs and terribly out of shape. But I never felt out of place or uncomfortable. There were plenty of people in all stages of fitness, so I didn't stand out at all. That helped tremendously! Most of the classes are mulit-level, so you can join in and work on your fitness level without feeling intimidated. The Hydro Training class is amazing! Classes are scheduled 7 days a week, with hours to fit all schedules. Instructors are helpful and motivating, never judgemental. My son is 12, so he's old enough to do his own thing. I never worry about his safety in this huge facility. I don't have a lot of experience with the childcare, but I've heard nothing but positives. I only WISH this place had been around when my son was younger! The facility is always clean and even at peek times there are plenty of machines available. They limit enrollment to ensure this. It may be a bit on the pricey side as far as most gyms go but the services and amenities are FAR FAR superior to any other gym in my experience. Tons of classes, indoor/outdoor pools with slides, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, nice locker rooms, free towel service, tennis, racquetball, squash, rock climbing, basketball, volleyball, spa, cafe, etc etc etc. What more could anyone want? I'd gladly pay twice as much for all that we enjoy at LTF! It keeps me motivated and interested in a variety of workout options, which keeps me coming back regularly. read more

After playing phone tag multiple times only to find out how really Horrible customer service they have. I had to move back home to WA and they told me on the phone they would cancel my membership for me and nothing else needed. I got billed 2 times and kept calling and no one would return my calls. I called and wanted to speak to the head lady and nobody would let me speak to her. I called 3 times!!!! I shouldn't of had to call at all! I haven't been to their gym in 4 months! I didn't even ask about a 2 month refund, but no one called me and I'm still be being charged! They are money hungry and don't care what it takes read more

Nice facilities but soooooo crowded and the meat heads are territorial about the benches in the free weight area. I quit since I could not find space to work out in the weight area in mornings or after work. First gym I ever attended where a request to "work in"a set was denied. Pools are lovely and the cycle room is good too. Be prepared for lots of up selling all over the gym. A trainer actually told me that lots of members are on personal training sessions 5x a week but if all I could afford was 1x a week he guessed he could still work with me. read more

Signed up with Lifetime Fitness about three years ago. Initially I was very impressed, but as time went on, I realized its all about the money. The facilities are good, and the racquetball courts were nice. But the staff are rude and could care less about the clients. Of course, we go there to work out, not to socialize, but in these times, you would think that client service would actually mean something. read more

Both my wife and I were members of this site but not any more after today. The reason we canceled my wife's account was we moved from Tempe to Chandler and did not visit this site as often as before. However, we kept my account (or relation) with lifetime based on the suggestion of the manager we talked with in last Nov. She told me that by paying $10/mon I am still a member and besides I have full access to the facility once a month. And for that visit I should be allowed to bring my wife and kid. That was what she told me. Since last Nov, we actually only visited this site once in this March. No questiones were asked when we enter and that is what we expected. But not today, the new front desk girl asked me to fill out a form about my wife and kid's information. So I refused and asked to talk to the manager. What surprised me more is the new manager told me that I myself is not allowed to have full access to the facility since I am paying only $10/mon. What the heck! It is not about the fees that I am paying. It is about what you told me in last Nov. Of course, if you told me this earlier, I have no opinions on it. But how do you feel if you were told totally differently by two managers who are supposed to know better than me about the pociliies. OK, if you don't know, just don't say things you don't know. At least, it is my right to choose to cancel the membership to go somewhere else which is better. read more

Wow sign me up! If only I lived in Tempe and could pay just $50 for such a great facility. Here in San Fran the only thing that compares is the Bay Club and it's monthly dues are about $125! If I ever leave here I hope to find a Life Time Fitness close by. I found the facilities to be very clean. Love the indoor pools and the outdoor pools. It's a great premium level fitness center/gym. It's more than just a gym because it offers tennis courts, basketball courts, jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. They even have fitness events you can join like their own triathlon. I wish I could afford the monthly $55/mo. What I did not like was that they raised the monthly rate with just an email notice. I had to switch gyms due to that since I felt they should lower their price for loyalty. read more

I've been an elite member since 2010 when I lived in IL. This location is by far the nicest of all the Gold Level gyms I've been to. I talked to the general manager and he told me that the Tempe location was the first one in the valley and it was built to be a flagship model hence why it's the nicest and biggest in the valley as well, all for a Gold level price (previously a Bronze level so even cheaper) compared to North Scottsdale which is a Platinum Level gym and smaller. This place keeps on updating their equipment and remodeling to make it look nicer than it already is. This is the only gym I know of that has 5 not just 1 but 5 squat racks. That alone is worth the price for me. read more

One of the best gyms I've been to. It's more like a resort then a gym. Love the machines and not having to wait for any equipment to use. The pool is what got me sold to this gym. Not having a pool here in Arizona when temps hit 110+ really sucked. I hate public pools. They'll filled with screaming kids and pool may not be cleaned so often, So I go here to cool off, and you pretty much have the pool to yourself in the evening hours. You do get a couple snobby people from here and there but for the most part you'll see a mix of different people who are nice. Also, sales could be a little better. I wish I was told about LT bucks. The membership cost around $50 for me, however with everything you get I personally think its worth it. Also, it's a little far for me as I need to drive 11 miles each time, but it makes a rather good, short escape from home. Overall, Would recommend. read more

I love lifetime, and so do my kids! sometimes, i just don't feel like working out but my kids are BEGGING me to go to the gym! The kids center is awesome! and they have pretty good hours that they are open on the weekdays til 9pm....weekends are a little sooner, but compared to la fitness they had the best hours, and its on $5 per kid, instead of $10 per kid. and ohhhhhhh The pool is the best, especially if you have a toddler! its starts off at 0 inches and it gradually gets deeper! and they have indoor and out door. all the other reviews are all certainly true, i just wanted to add something that they didn't mention! but i love this gym! read more

Love this gym! Tons of things to do and I know I haven't even scratched the surface. My son is in the splash class which is super cute and he's learning to be comfortable around water. I'm doing Pilates which has been great. The kids center is very secure and has activities for your child. They aren't just sitting there like baby lumps. I have always been the type to go to the gym, do my thing and leave. I actually hang out here on the weekends. Yes, it's more expensive than other gyms, but you really are getting great service for the price. read more

Everyone in here is so nice! Always getting greeted and get my goodbye's when I'm leaving out the door. The gym is really clean and always up to par, I couldn't have asked for a better gym with a better atmosphere. My favorite part about the gym is their hours and how many machines there are available. The accounting processes stink. After numerous mischarges to our credit card (which they have on file for dues and everything you buy), we told them verbally and in writing not to use our credit card any longer. Some of the mistaken charges were in the $2000 range and others in the hundreds of dollars. Each time it took weeks to get our money back. We even wrote to headquarters in Minnesota and got no response and no action. Our Trainer is TOPS and the Nutritionist is fabulous. If it were not for them, we would look for another gym. The customer service person has not responded to my e-mail or phone call and its been over 2 months now. I only want to deal with my Trainer and no one else at Life Time Fitness. read more

I used a free guest pass that I had received in the mail they were more than friendly but not very pushy to get me to sign up for a membership which I greatly appreciated! The facility was very clean the locker rooms are clean and even the showers were nice and clean and not grimy and gross. The hot tub was fantastic there was really no one else in there so was nice to have the room to move around and there is allot of room the hot tubs are huge and there are two of them. I am so in love! My family and I have been looking for a good gym we could all enjoy for awhile. This place is it! Marco Gamez has been so amazing with helping us determine whether we wanted to pay a little more for a gym. He seriously has made our experience excellent! He never once made us feel pressured into joining, which was a breath of fresh air for once. Every other gym we looked at pressured us to sign up that day otherwise we wouldn't get a good deal. I can't thank him enough for his great hospitality! This gym is amazing. There is always something to do,which is hard to find in a gym with two children. I am not one to love to go to the gym but this gym keeps me wanting more,which I am so grateful for. My 5 year old always has an option to do different classes. From karate to dance to rock climbing to science! This place is seriously outstanding. I have taken two classes so far and have absolutely loved both (yoga and evolution of cycle) which neither I have tried before but both have challenged my body and my mind! By far my favorite gym in Arizona. Been living here for about 3 years and the minute I walked in everyone was so incredibly welcoming and helpful. I have worked in many gyms before and this staff goes above and beyond. Geo was super motivating and even took the time to get me set up with my amazing personal trainer. if anyone is looking for that compassion, he's the guy to ask for. His customer service is above and beyond amazing. Prices are amazing too for everything that gym has to offer. I've been a member for a few years now, but lately lifetime had been down grading. The receptionist staff is rude, I guess they don't know how to smile, a few is really nice but some younger people give off the attitude they're better than other people aka guest coming through here. When I took a guest for a one day pass this one blonde girl was just rude, we told her we didn't want an account manager cause is a one day guest pass and after we walked away we heard said "oh I forgot you didn't need an account manager if its a one day guest pass" umm was she trying to give me a hard time, fired her or re train her put her in a line up and id love to point her out. Also there's rumours in the women's locker room many people is losing their stuff. JUST WOW I CANT EVEN FEEL SAFE EVEN THOUGH I KEEP MY OWN LOCKER KEY. If I want to pay for theft and rude service I'd go to LA fitness or any cheaper gym. UPDATE: I SAW THE SAME RECEPTIONIST AND LINE FULL OF GUESTS AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN SMILED ONCE. read more

I have been member of this club about a year. I have no complain about the club. The complain I have is about the club admins. They are not friendly at all. To me they are not honest either. when I went to cancel my membership they didn't process it right. after two months I got my credit card charge again. I called the club and they are asking for prof of cancelation that they didn't provide. So be careful when you sign an agreement with this guys at the club... read more

Just love this gym!! It's soooo huge- fun for the entire family.. All ages and there's even a cafe with all types of delicious meals, snacks and smoothies!
