I was moving out of state and needed to cancel the service because I'd no longer need it at my new place. The first time I called to cancel, I spoke to someone who seemed to be a manager, because she offered me all of these perks to stay, including a deferment of my payments until I figured out if I wanted to stay or not. I thought I was getting a deal, until a few months went by and I realized I really did not need the service and needed to cancel. I called customer service, knowing I still had 9 months left in my contract, but my equipment was paid off so it should just be an easy cancellation with an early termination fee. I was wrong. 3 hours later, 10 support agents and 4 departments later, each one repeating the same offers and not communicating between agents, even after I firmly declined them all and said I just wanted to pay the money and be done with it -- I finally was able to pay the termination fee or "buyout" fee and get off the phone. They had me on an initial wait of about 45 mins, and then each agent kept asking for the same information or just wasn't aware of what I was trying to do, and it got to the point where I realized they are trained to drag out the process. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL WITH THEM, THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT QUICKLY IS TO ESCALATE. Do not let them have you on the phone for hours like they had me! They will have you on the phone for hours, just to submit an email cancellation request. The email you need to cancel your account is : documents@vivint.com and this is the information you need to provide or they will not respond or process the request: Name: Service Address: Service Number: Reason for Cancellation: WILL NEVER RETURN TO THAT COMPANY EVER AGAIN. GET A RING CAM AND CALL IT A DAY.

    Do not use this company. They are full of scammers. I bought a house that had this security system,…read moreso for ease, I continued the service. However, this the least ease I have ever felt. When I called because my sensors weren't working, they reinstalled them and they immediately fell the next day. When I called about the camera not working they told me I needed a new camera. But the new cameras wouldn't work with my "old panel". According to the previous home owner she had just updated the panel less than 3 years ago. They simply want to overcharge and oversell you. They do not care about your safety or security. They care about how much they can scam you. Finally if you ever wish to cancel, they won't ACTUALLY cancel your account. They will tell you that it's cancelled and then call you 3 times a day telling you your account is overdue. When you call back to cancel yet again, they will tell you your account was never cancelled and they can't cancel your account unless you pay your outstanding balance. They will offer you everything under the sun to get you to stay a customer. Then when you finally get it cancelled. They call you again the next month because you have an outstanding balance. Fuck this company and everyone who works in leadership. I will update once I actually get the account cancelled. It has been 6 months.

We checked out three companies and Al and Justin were the only company willing to stop by after a job they were working on. They listened to what we wanted and Al (owner) provided a bid the following day. After evaluating the other two bids, it was clear we needed to go with DFWCVS. Not just because of price, but service, care, good communication and quality equipment. Al and Justin arrived on time to do the install and set to work. Since we were replacing the entire system and moving some of the cameras to better locations (thank you Al), they were around all day. They worked hard and I could tell, they worked well together. Al kept us informed at all times on where they were with the install. There was one small hiccup when Justin slipped in the attic and accidentally caused some damage to our kitchen ceiling. Justin and Al felt so bad about the accident, but we kept telling them, it was an accident and we were thankful nobody got hurt. Al took action and worked on getting a repairman to come over to access the damages. Luckily, we have a neighbor that owns his own painting company and he came over and gave Al a bid. The repair work was finished a few days later. You couldn't tell it was ever damaged . Al and Justin were finishing up some work for us and were relieved to see how well it had turned out. Al took care of everything and was hired by our neighbor for some security work. A new relationship was made. Win win. We can't speak highly enough about the integrity of this company. You don't see many companies that stand behind their work like Al and Justin. They are great to work with and we couldn't be happier with our security camera system. You won't regret working with DFW Custom Video Surveillance, I promise!
