Disastrous attempts at plucking throughout high school? That was my emergency. So I gave her a shot and oh I'm so glad I did! When untamed, my eyebrows are seriously out of control and I start to look like my very italian Dad who, you know, looks fine with those eyebrows because he's not a nineteen year old girl. Heidi told me I had very difficult brows and then proceeded to work magic on them to the point where, on the drive home, I couldn't stop checking myself out in the rear view mirror and nearly ran into a bus. Safe! But seriously, they are perfect. The salon is adorable, very welcoming. There's parking on the street all around, even on a Saturday, and no meters. I was offered a drink the second I stepped foot in the door and didn't have to wait at all even though I was twenty minutes early. The waxing itself was extremely comfortable and basically pain free, and they use all natural and organic products so my overly sensitive skin doesn't freak the hell out a few hours after waxing. I let my hair grow out several weeks then I made another appointment to give her another try.... I was asked "Why didn't you return sooner"? Ended up having to request another "redo" within that week as my hair was seriously UNEVEN and UNBALANCED and looked obviously wanky on the one side.See photo! After the haircut I had spa services which were quoted to me as $70.00 and 30.00 for pedicure and brow colour, but I was charged $135.00 with no extra services! When I inquired about the prices a manager came out to tell me the price I was charged was what I had to pay and shrugged his shoulders. Both my stylist and pedicurist did a fantastic job but I should have been charged the prices quoted to me and this is very dishonest "bait- and -switch" tactic and unfortunately I will not return to a Simonson's Salon and my other internet reviews will reflect the poor quality and dishonesty of the way you do business. I might add that from 1:00 to 3:00 pm there were only 3 other clients in the whole salon which makes me wonder if there are many unsatisfied customers who won't be returning.
