I had a FANTASTIC experience with Lifetime Movers. For context, I moved from a 5 story townhouse to a 3 story house out of state. I also had to do the moves in TWO parts; the first one into storage and the second one then across state lines. Phase 1 move: The company sent 3 movers to help get 75% of my stuff out of the house into storage so I could stage it for sale. They had to move large furniture down that 5 story townhouse and it was certainly not easy. They had to do it with a winding, tight staircase, all the while being care ful with everything. Let me tell you, they took extreme care of the walls and the furniture. Not a single scratch on the furniture. Only the expected usual scuffs on the walls (no big deal, easily removed with a magic eraser). The movers worked quickly and efficiently. They didn't even stop for a break! They planned it all out well and worked together like a cohesive unit. They were professional and friendly, chatting with me in a casual way but without wasting any time or slowing down at all. They wrapped everything carefully, especially all the glassware I had. They finished the move out of the house way earlier than I expected and were out of there as soon as it was over. The 3 guys even helped moved some of the furniture that wasn't leaving for my realtor who wanted to start the staging process asap. They performed all tasks with a friendly smile and eagerness that can be hard to find elsewhere. Phase 2 move: This time it was across state lines. 3 guys came the day before to pack up everything. They again worked very efficiently and quickly. Again, there was furniture going down that 5 story townhouse. no complaints at all from them. Again, they wrapped everything well. This time, 2 of the guys were different but the energy and work ethic were no different from the original guys. Again, done earlier than I expected and again, helped me move a few things that were stay for the staging. Final move into house: The driver started his drive 6 hours early to get to my new house on time and he arrived right on time. Same story. Efficient and quick work. They didn't complain when I asked them to move a few heavy pieces of furniture around and worked through the 90 degree weather! Not ONCE did they veer off course from being the utmost professionals. They always made sure to check in with me for furniture and boxes. They even helped me fix a piece of furniture that was slightly askew-ed by the move (not their fault, it was a cheap Ikea piece). Overall, I had a phenomenal experience and I must say, their pricing was VERY fair. I got quotes from like 6 different companies and they were the second cheapest. I chose them overall because of their quick responsiveness to my needs and willingness to work around my schedule requirements. All communication was well received and answered within a good time frame. The charge that they make for their boxes are also extremely reasonable! Way better than other movers. I ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone. I would use them again and again and again. The peace of mind to have friendly, professional, and skilled movers is EVERYTHING. On the positive side, the 4 person crew conducting the move were excellent! Robbie, Dee, Christ and Glenn were polite, professional, and hard-working! They were careful with our furniture and took great care wrapping it and protecting it every step of the way. Kudos! Less positive was the Sales experience and post move engagement. The sales process was not transparent with all of the extra fees charged beyond the initial verbal estimate. This aggevation would have been avoided with more transparency from the beginning! Also, I can't help but lament that having to pay a 'truck fee' to a moving company is like paying a carpenter to bring his hammer! On the backend of the move there was no engagement by management directly with the customer to collect feedback and ensure satisfaction. Instead, everything was relayed thru the move team with a focus on collecting money. Once again there was no transparency into the itemized bill - just a raw number that they wanted charged to a credit card. Only issue was that I rented three wardrobe boxes and after I unpacked them they refused to pick them up. The owner , Joey Salvin, called me to discuss the problems I had encountered in my move to Florida. He listened and agreed to what I had to say and immediatley gave me a credit on my card for the things that had to be replace. LIFETIME IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS, HANDS-DOWN. I had originally hired another moving company for my big move from MA to FL and it being my first long-distance move, I unfortunately didn't realize it was a broker until another poorly-rated company with a messy, disgusting truck arrived at my apartment. There were many issues and we didn't feel comfortable working with them, so we found Lifetime and gave them a call. Lifetime has their own employees and their own trucks, which is something I didn't realize moving brokers do not have -- lesson learned. Mike came to our apartment within an hour to take a look at our stuff and told us he could have his team come the next morning (also, this was 4th of July weekend). Mike and his team arrived early that morning, wrapped all the furniture/delicate items, and moved everything out of my two-bed apt in about 2 hours. They said they would have been able to get our stuff down to FL within 3 days, but they were flexible and we had them delay to 6 days so we got there before the truck arrived. Ahmad drove all the way down, and they got hired another FL-based mover, Drew, to help unload the truck and bring everything in. Moving is one of the most stressful things in life, but Lifetime took all that stress away. My girlfriend, Logan, and I felt confident hiring them and we are so happy that we trusted them to safely transport all of our stuff down to FL. I was referred to Lifetime from a friend of mine who they also helped move and I was very glad with the outcome. We where moving in the middle of a Pandemic and we weren't sure how and if anyone was moving people at the time. Joey was great to work with and very accommodating. We originally had the move for a Thursday and had to switch to Friday and they didn't have any problem with the change. The guys where very professional and did a great job packing the truck and nothing was damaged. However, they completely live up to their 5 star rating. Joey and his team were tremendously helpful and very responsive with communication. They put his crib in the truck last, so that when we arrived at the new house they could set it up right away so he could nap while the rest of the truck was being unloaded. Stood up by a national moving company for three straight days on a cross-country move and then dropped by two other movers after they promised to help us, we were down to packing ourselves, renting a U-Haul, and renting storage to get out of our house for closing the next day. We called a packing supply store and they, thankfully, asked probing questions and got us in touch with Lifetime.
