I was told I would be helped, and I then waited nearly an hour while several customers who arrived after me were assisted first, including two couples with a baby, two men, and a woman. I observed each of them being called ahead of me. While I was waiting, a bald employee seated on the far left said twice to two coworkers, "there are other tickets," in reference to the employees standing and gossiping near the front desk only a few feet from where I was seated. That comment appeared directed at their conversation, not at assisting customers. Despite this, every new arrival continued to be helped before me. After approximately fifty minutes, I calmly approached the counter and asked why customers who came in after me had been seen first. The employee responded by stating that it had not been an hour. It had been. I left the store feeling frustrated. As I was walking out, the same bald employee loudly made "cuckoo" sounds in my direction, implying that I was irrational. That behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate. I have previously purchased four pairs of glasses with progressive lenses from this location and had even brought two additional frames with me that day to order more lenses. I chose not to proceed with that purchase. I am a teacher and a single father, and it is not easy to find time to manage basic errands, which is why the glasses had been ready for over a month. To be treated in this manner after waiting that long is unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Exceptional Eye Care with Dr. Lomonaco…read more Dr. Lomonaco is truly amazing! My family and I have been coming to her for many years, and every single visit reaffirms why we continue to trust her with all of our eye care needs. She is incredibly caring, patient, helpful, and remarkably knowledgeable. It's rare to find someone who consistently goes above and beyond for their patients, but Dr. Lomonaco does just that. Her staff is equally fantastic--friendly, professional, and always a pleasure to interact with. Even after moving out of the area, we happily make the drive (sometimes over an hour) just to see her. That's how much we value the quality of care she provides. The office is clean, well-maintained, and has enough space for smaller families to feel comfortable during visits. They also offer a great selection of glasses and frames, which makes the process convenient and enjoyable. While parking can occasionally be a challenge (it is The Bronx, after all), it's a small price to pay for such outstanding service. If you're looking for excellent eye care, I highly recommend Dr. Lomonaco and the Throggs Neck Vision Associates team. They are simply the best!

When they called a couple of days before the appointment, the doctor's name they confirmed the appointment was with was not the same name I made the appointment with. It turned out that the M.D. ophthalmologist I made an appointment with transformed into a O.D. optometrist. The person on the phone stated they do the same thing. Hell no. Since the opthalmologist I have been seeing for years for both general and continuing concerns retired, I shall look again, but certainly not here.
