[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot to get some work done![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I stopped by on a Saturday around noon, and there were plenty of people working on their laptops.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were welcoming and kind and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they have indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered an iced matcha latte with honey and a breakfast sandwich, both were really good! Parking is limited in their small lot, but there's also street parking nearby.

Dirty chai half gone don't wait or it'll be all gone

I don't know if it was the long train ride or if the staff single-handedly caught that fish for the lox bagel. Ridiculously good and flavorful. ALTHOUGH i do hear the avocado toast lacks flavor.... chai latte with WHOLE MILK was so good I thank my mom for not making me lactose intolerant. Overall happy

Lighthouse Coffee was such a great find! I tried the cucumber toast and an ice blended coffee with espresso both were delicious and super refreshing. Extremely slow service and bland tasting coffee is the best way to sum up Lighthouse Coffee. I'm not sure if I caught them on a bad day but I literally thought I lost my taste the coffee was so bland. The coffee took about 5 minutes but the food took more than 30 minutes! By the time it came it wasn't even enjoyable since it took so long. The employee also never gave us the croissant we ordered and when we reminded her she sold all the other ones. They are extremely understaffed and it is highly disappointing. The pros is the immense amount of seating indoors and outdoors. This would be a great spot to study at. There is also a parking lot and some street parking surrounding. However, other coffee shops in the area also have parking along with good service and better tasting coffee.

Lox Bagel 9.47/10- this was absolutely delicious, they ran out of bagels so I was a bit scared to get it on an English muffin cause I didn't think it would be that good but it was actually amazing. The lox and cream cheese were incredibly fresh. The capers and red onions complemented it perfectly and the English muffin was toasted perfectly. We stopped in here for a light breakfast and refreshing drinks. I originally ordered their special drink which was displayed at the counter but they stated they didn't have it (why display it then) my wife ordered matcha latte and lox bagel. They stated they didn't have bagels so she had to order it on sourdough bread. I had pomegranate tea and açaí bowl. They brought us the food and my drink but it wasn't until I mentioned my wife's drink did they finally realize they didn't even make it yet. The lox was good the açaí bowl had fresh fruit but the bottom was just a juice extremely soup like. I wouldn't recommend coming back here. Service wasn't that great and food was alright. Plenty of other brunch places where service and food would be better.

I am a breakfast sandwich addict, and I have to say that the breakfast sandwich here is incredible. Toasted English muffin or bagel with scrambled egg, tomato, avocado, melted cheese, Mayo and lemon pepper. Shoutout to Herman for making them perfectly every time. Coffee is delish, toasts are good, and they have a great selection of baked goods. My hubby and I make the 45 minute walk to enjoy Lighthouse almost every Saturday. So good. read more

I came here on a Monday afternoon to get a little work done and enjoy a cappuccino. They have a good amount of seating inside and a bunch of tables outside with umbrellas. This is a great place, if you're like me and work from home... every once in a while it's nice to have a good coffee shop to work out of. There were a bunch of other people working to so it was a nice environment to be in. The staff was friendly and the coffee is good. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I am in the area. read more

Absolutely recommend this place!! We happen to come across this place as we went to eat across for some seafood. They didn't have enough drinking selection so decided to come here for an iced tea. I got a Matcha drink which I should have ordered cold (I don't go to coffee places often so I didn't know it can come either way) anyhow it was good. My iced tea I wasn't a fan of kinda gave me a flash back to taking Robutissen cough medicine after taste, but may be just me it was a jasmine iced tea I believe. It was ok just an after taste for me not a repeat. What we did love were their pastries, their maple apple hazelnut roll was delicious! I would come back especially for those and try another iced coffee drink. Staff friendly over nice place. read more

I would never want to speak badly about a small business after Covid times, however, my wife and I came in for a cup of coffee mid afternoon. They didn't appear to be that busy but it did take almost 25 minutes to place my order for a coffee and a latte. The tables and chairs to sit at were not comfortable to sit at but I know it's a coffee shop. It took almost 20 minutes after ordering for my wife to get her latte and several minutes after to get my coffee. It was not my issue of time but of the rude remarks from the staff that I am leaving my review. I was told multiple times that they were busy and needed to be patient, which I am more than willing to do. But if I knew it would take an hour to get my coffee I would have understood and taken my business elsewhere. read more

The atmosphere here is amazing. Very peaceful and dog friendly. They even have a water bowl out for the puppies. Great and quick service. Everyone was very pleased with their drink. I was especially happy with mine. I got an iced matcha latte with lavender sweetener. It was so refreshing and sweet. I highly recommend this beautiful coffee shop. read more

Nice coffee-house vibe. Could see doing work here or hanging out. Nice staff. Smallest, worst macchiato ever--more like a bitter espresso. The cappuccino was also marginal. Baristas needs more training or the machine needs to be adjusted. We dumped both drinks and got coffee somewhere else. read more

We ordered coffee here almost every morning! I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and my husband got a drip coffee. For breakfast, I tried both the yogurt bowl and the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was exactly what I was hoping for it to be. I recommend substituting the bread for an everything bagel. Lots of nice open seating and dogs are welcome!! read more

Somewhat slow, but delicious! Loved the low key vibe and super spacious seating. Avocado toast is on a delicious chewy yet crusty bread and packed with avocado and greens. The acai and yogurt bowls are generous portions and delicious. We also got an american and latte, both were good. read more

Lighthouse serves delicious coffee! My iced latte was refreshing and tasted perfectly roasted. They have pastries and a small food menu if you want to grab a bite to eat: avocado toast, lox bagel, etc. They also carry Juice Ranch bottled juices and immunity shots! The staff is friendly and the shop is super clean. read more

This new location on Chapala doesn't compare to their location on the Mesa. I live close to this location which has brought me here a few times. Each time I have been disappointed by the coffee roasting and baristas compared to other places in SB. Average drip, watered down iced beverages, and subpar macchiato. I fully recommend their Mesa location, it's fantastic and I am planning on updating this review each time I come which will be soon. read more

Well worth the visit, nice oat milk latte, acai bowl and the cucumber toast are my reason to come back again. Staff recommends house' specialties and get things done promptly. Outdoor patio is the best spot for morning vitamin, starting a lazy day, with a nice treat. Parking is a little bit challenge so hope you guys find a spot quickly, coz the place is busy with other establishments around like CVS, grocery, etc. read more

Very disappointing for Celiac. Barista was unable to confirm if any of the syrups for lattes, mochas, etc. were gluten free. For small to go black coffee, there is a price tag of $4! Costs less to get a Gibraltar, and yet barista was again not able to provide information about whether or not this would be gluten free regarding preparation process. Additionally, barista used slightly rude, dismissive tone when asked about gluten free. Would not recommend for celiac at all because you cannot get a reasonably priced gluten free coffee. read more

Great shop with quality coffee and delicious food. Dog friendly with some beautiful photos hung on the walls as well. Staff is incredible. Most of them have my name and order memorized after only a few visits. One of the employees, I think he's the manager, with tattoos and glasses is amazing. He always has such a sunny disposition and makes morning seem like the best part of the day. read more

I really want to like this place, the location and outdoor seating is great. It's in my neighborhood and I'm all for supporting local businesses, but the espresso and drip coffee is consistently sour. This place is so spacious. It has great lighting and great seating. I love the temperature in the shop, it feels so airy and fresh. The only thing im concerned about is the small kitchen those poor employees have to work with. I love their hard work and great attitude during these trying times. I am a huge fan of Ryan, she is a sweetheart and always gets my order perfect. She is very friendly and respectful, keeps the energy balanced in the shop. I ended up pulling two coffee bags -- one for me (Brazil) and one as a gift for my sister (Gibraltar). I would love to be able to try the entire assortment of coffee beans. Love the packaging. The ambiance is open and spacious inside. Lots of space for seating indoors and there are places outside as well. I noticed a lot of students would come here to study or others who would go there to meet with friends or just a place to hang out. I would come back for sure next time I am back in the area and would like to try a food item next time and a matcha drink next time.

The previous time I got a coffee I also had to remind the young woman I had change coming back and she did give me change. For my friend she had to go into the tip box to give her change. In the future I will pay with a credit card. Everything is getting more expensive these days. I feel a little ripped off. But will return.

On June 5th between approximately 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM, at State st location, I ordered a Strawberry Milk Matcha at the State Street location. The drink I received looked significantly different from the advertised product and appeared improperly prepared. When I politely asked about it, the employee immediately became defensive and repeatedly insisted that the drink was correct instead of taking a moment to understand the concern. Fortunately, another employee stepped in and offered to remake the drink, which I appreciated. What disappointed me most was the customer service. When I asked the employee for his name so I could provide feedback, he told me that I did not need to know his name and that it was irrelevant for me to know. I found that response surprisingly unprofessional. Mistakes happen. Drinks can be remade. What matters is how customers are treated when they raise concerns respectfully. I spoke with a manager afterward, who apologized for my experience, but I left feeling that the issue was minimized rather than truly addressed. I choose local businesses over large chains whenever possible. That's exactly why this experience was disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because Dune has built a strong reputation in our community and I would like to see that standard upheld.

I ordered the cold brew black, so I was off pretty quick. I got in the car and took a sip. It was a pretty dark roast, and I wanna say pretty French in roast profile? I dunno. Anyways, it was dark, a little muddled in flavor, and not as good as other options in the area, in my opinion. That being said, it was in no way bad, and because everything else was closed, I was happy to have had something. It's not the coffee for me, but I think it's plenty good for a cafe drink and a light meal!

This is my favorite coffee shop in town! They serve the best cappuccino I've had locally, and their almond croissants are absolutely incredible--the best I've ever tried. Lox cream cheese on croissant is delicious. Everything is consistently fresh and delicious, which keeps me coming back. One thing to keep in mind is that the shop is usually very busy, so be prepared to wait in a long line, especially during peak hours. The quality of the coffee and pastries makes the wait well worth it. read more

Great place for coffee and sandwiches or acai bowl. Has very good WiFi and plenty of seating. However, due to the Covid concern there's no indoor seating at the moment. Outdoor seating is great and Wifi works fine outside. Very clean and super friendly staff! Highly recommend, it just opened around June.
