Stopped in for some coffee. Zoe was very sweet and let me ask a lot of questions about the menu and what she liked there. Got a very yummy Americano with Horchata Cold Foam. Love the selection, service, and quality!

Great service, great energy and some wonderful vegan options, including a vegan waffle that he would just tweak a little bit on the toppings and they even have an oat based cream. They offer a lovely avocado toast on sourdough. I added a regular and tomato. they offer vegan empanadas as well. There's usually one or two choices and the sauce is so good. These are from Buena Onda.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Drinks came out pretty quick and it's a cute little place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got matcha lattes & an Americano. The matchas were not good. I wouldn't recommend this place for their matcha. There's ton of other coffee shops on the strip that you could probably get better matcha however we were overwhelmed w/ all the choices that we just walked into the first place we saw. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were quite of people in the shop as well so we took it as a good sign just to be disappointed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The matchas had a promising color but just tasted like milk. I added a pack of stevia to mine & it helped balance and bring more of the matcha flavor.

Mosaic is such a tucked away oasis on State where you can get a little bit of everything! Looking for Old Town Coffee? They got it! Looking for the best empanadas from Buena Onda? They got it! Looking for beer, wine, and cider from Draughtsman? They got it! They also have wifi, plenty of seating both inside and outside, and just a great ambiance and aesthetic all around! The perfect spot to study, get work done, or just catch up with others. I can stay here and get so much work done, I love it!

This coffee shop is wonderful for getting work done. Fast and easy wi-fi, awesome options for tea and coffee and a whole menu of options to eat. I can not attest to the quality of the coffee, but only because the tea is so nice and creative that I always end up opting for a tea instead! I had the most delicious coconut tea latte with honey, cheesy jalapeño bagel toasted with cream cheese and spent about an hour working away. The ambiance seems to be a lot of young folks doing the same and there is a constant buzz as folks fly in and out with to-go orders. as a plus, there are a couple other businesses operating out of the same location that one can enjoy, from hot and savory empanadas to fresh seafood from get hooked seafood delivery, its a great place where many things coincide. My one critic is that it is often so busy, you will find things like napkins, coffee stirrers, and condiments often go out of stock and have to be asked for. I don't mind as I am within walking distance and trying to be more sustainable anyway by bringing my own washable napkin and straw et. But for those looking to be in and out swiftly with all the to-go accoutrement, this may present a delay! Definitely try Mosaic if you need a busy place to work with white noise and great tea! And if you get hungry, go for empanadas from Buena Onda!

    Gorgeous lighting and decor!

Been going to this place for years! Used to go here when Hook and Press was here. A great place for empanadas and many other great things! I don't drink but I'm sure they have e tons of selections there. I have a sense they will be a local insiitution... :)

Stopped in for quick Americano. I did not realize they do not have espresso; only coffee is dark or medium roast. Coffee is Dark Horse out of San Diego, pretty good but I do like my Americanos. Apparently the donuts are popular, they of course have Draughtsman beer. I am not much of a donut fan but I will be back again for beer. Art work on walls beautiful and they have great outside seating. What really won my heart they have donuts for your dog.

From top to bottom: caprese, corn, mushroom empanadas with chimichurri sauce

We had a series of issues from the start. Our assigned waiter was completely inattentive; he ignored our table, failed to check on us, and never brought the cheese board we ordered. We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend

Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. Still so much on their menu to enjoy.

It was chilly so she tried to light the heat lamp at my request but both that one and the replacement did not work. The replacement actually had the propane disconnected so I assume someone knew that tank needed to be changed out but didn't do it. The other tables from the large party were full of wine glasses and a half eaten pizza. Those sat there for over an hour, and we watched several groups of people come but leave without being seated because no server was available yo seat them and the only open table hadn't been cleared. When it was finally cleared, one guest at a near by table commented that the pizza shouldn't go to waste. The girl who cleared the table initially carried it inside but came right back out with it and served it to that guest whose kid ate it. I'm all for not wasting food and if the guest had gotten up and grabbed the pizza himself, that would be one thing... but to serve old food that had been sitting out for a long time to a guest is a no no for a business. We otherwise enjoyed most of the wines in our tasting flight. Would've given 5 stars if service had been more timely, tables cleared and old food not served up.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

We visited over Memorial Day weekend with a group of five after taking the train in specifically to spend time here. Before committing to purchasing bottles, we simply wanted to taste a few wines. From the moment we arrived, Amanda was incredibly rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in helping us. It felt as though we were an inconvenience the entire time. Thankfully, Cory stepped in and was welcoming, professional, and kind enough to offer us samples of the wines we were interested in trying. What was completely unacceptable, however, was Amanda making comments like, "the owner doesn't even like you." This was both inappropriate and unprofessional, especially considering I do not know the owner and the owner does not know me. There was absolutely no reason for such a disrespectful remark. And that is just ONE example of remarks she made to my friend and I. She also talked down on a stutter that I have, just inappropriate!! The manager or owner (not sure which roll he played exactly) seemed to have been drinking because while he was defending his out of line staff, he yelled "I'm not even supposed to be here, I should be out golfing!" As if that was my fault. Overall, this was a horrible experience and a major disappointment from a place I used to genuinely enjoy and recommend to friends. It is unfortunate that what was once a great spot is now associated with such poor treatment and lack of professionalism.
