Lighthouse is the BEST coffee shop I have ever been to! Not only do they have the best iced coffees in town, but the staff is always so friendly and wonderful! They offer a wide variety of flavored lattes, milk alternatives (yay for oat milk!!) and yummy pastries. My fiancé knows how much I love Lighthouse so he quite often surprises me with a gift card :) Stop supporting generic Starbucks coffee and instead support your local coffee shop! Such a great spot to have coffee! I love the friendly staff and they have great recommendations and never disappoint! They have a limited selection of food, but they all are good! I appreciate the simplicity of the menu, yet you can pretty much ask for anything! Their Kombucha is on tap and oh so good! I know it's from a local company in Tahoe so I love that they support local! It's also a great location to sit and talk and catch up with friends. This is my favorite coffee spot in town. I always get a medium white chocolate mocha and it is ALWAYS done the same. I never have to worry about the drink being different like other places. My only downside is that it is getting a bit pricey. I hate going to Starbucks, but because of how pricey it can get, I kind of have to sometimes when I'm on a budget. The pros tend to top the one con in the end. The seating area is super cute and always cleaned up after. The staff is also extremely nice and always makes me smile when I'm there. The drive through couldn't be any slower. Took me 26 minutes to get through the whole line. Got to the window and they didn't know my order. Forgot half my order and it was well over $10 for a bagel and a coffee. Yikes. This place is just not worth it for the wait time and quality of the food. Customer service: Great! Location: Beautiful, you get a great view of the Marina and mountains! Food & Drink: my husband and i had their cinnamon roll, a smores iced latte and toasted coconut latte fora whopping $25. The cinnamon rolls were small, they were ok in flavor but nothing really special. The drinks had absolutely no flavor. We could not tell a difference between both drinks and we made sure to try them before having the rolls. Coffee was bitter and had a burnt taste to them. We couldnt finish them. Looking for a place to get some work done while sipping on some excellent coffee? Then head straight over to Lighthouse Coffee in the Aspen Glen shopping center on the corner of Vista and Los Altos in Sparks. This is really the only coffee spot in Sparks(that's not Starbuck's) that offers great coffee, free and speedy wi-fi, and some great bagel and pastry options. I believe they make all their baked goods(minus the bagels) in-house, but next time I'm in I'll be sure to confirm that and let you know! They also serve their own brand of coffee so you can buy a bag of beans to take home with you too! Their service is super friendly. You feel welcome there, like they never want you to leave. Believe me, as a freelancer, I definitely take advantage of that! Also check out their location at the Marina which is now back open despite construction! There they have great outside seating with a magnificent view of the Marina. And bring your little dog too! Our bookclub met up here on a Sunday morning. It was a bit loud, what with the grinding noises and echoey warehouse open design, but we managed to have a great discussion despite it all. I ordered the veggie quiche, which came with a side of salsa that had a nice kick. Not sure if the salsa was made from scratch, but the quiche was certainly delicious. Come here for the lattes! I visited here two weeks in a row and ordered a flavored latte each time. The first flavor I tried was Raspberry. It was surprisingly good! The coffee tasted great and the raspberry flavor was subtle enough to taste and didn't overpower the coffee itself. My mom ordered a Chai Tea Latte and that was tasty as well. The second time I stopped by was in the afternoon on New Year's day. It was busy, but my drink still came out in a timely fashion. This time I ordered a Lavender and Almond latte. Not as good the Raspberry but that's just due to the flavors I chose. The latte itself still tasted great. Really the only "complaint" I have about this place is that they should have a printed list of all the flavored syrups they use because they have like 20 or so. Currently the barista just names them for you when asked. I can never remember all the flavors they say and I feel bad when it's busy and I hold up the line by making the people behind me wait longer just to hear all the flavors. Overall, a wonderful place. Cute look and calm atmosphere. I think this will be my go-to coffee shop when I'm in Sparks. read more

Im giving one star because it's slightly better than Starbucks The espresso is awful. Is too light, burnt, and inconsistent. It's obvious they aren't conscious about each shot that's brewed. Their food is either always too cold or they forgot to warm it up altogether. The chai is god awful. The ratio of chai to milk is way off and it's like drinking chunks of powdered chai They don't use any of the quality non-dairy milk alternatives. Iced drinks? Forget it. It's like warm milk and 4 ice cubes on top that melt within 2 minutes. The matcha powder is dairy, and they don't specify that before serving it when you ask for a non-dairy alternative. Their kombucha is the only saving grace they have. If there were any other coffee shop in the northern sparks area I wouldn't return here ever again. Oat Milk? In Reno? At a drive thru? Color me addicted!!!! Whoa. After hearing about this coffee shop in the local BLM group, I decided to stop by to show support. I have tried the pomegranate iced tea, which I would recommend getting sweetened! This morning I got an iced oat milk vanilla latte, and as a former barista I can be a bit of a snob on coffee. WHOA. Perfectly sweet without being nauseating, and the espresso was excellent. The oat milk was excellent, and the coffee / tea prices were so cheap! I also got a bagel. The bagel was a little undercooked, but I should've asked for it extra toasted since I am a godless heathen who would rather choke than eat raw bagel. The cream cheese was freaking AWESOME! I think it may have been made in house, but I'm not sure. I got the jalapeño flavor and good lordt, it was phenomenal. I'm looking forward to coming back again and again! read more

I needed a caffeine jolt so I decided to try the Vista/Los Altos location of Lighthouse Coffee. Parking was easy and they even have a drive thru. Cute interior with friendly folks who are happy to help you with your order. I did not try any of the baked goods but those looked good and the selection looked decent. Obsessed is an understatement when I'm talking about lighthouse. I've literally been there almost everyday this week. Their coffee is soooo smooth. There is none of that yucky acidity that you find at other popular chain coffee shops. Im absolutely addicted to winter special peppermint vanilla latte. I will be distraught when it's not on the menu anymore so if you're reading this lighthouse please please please make it a permanent item! But if you do have to take it away I know there's so many other delicious drinks and seasonal specials to try out. I have also love the chai, caramilla hot or blended, hazelnut latte, winter spice latte and everything else I've tried. Thank you lighthouse for being so awesome! read more

Last time we went there it was almost 30 minutes waiting, I know staffing is hard right now, so I have some empathy for their staff. They appeared to be in good spirits and working hard. Ah...the lighthouse. Such a symbol of life and danger. What an amazing metaphor for how our lives are tenuously in the balance between the danger of being crashed on the hard realities of what life throws at us and the safety and adventure of the open waters. And with that we have the dark waters...are they safe? Will they get your heart racing and your palms sweating...... What the heck am I talking about? This is a dang coffee shop!! I think I may have gotten a little taste of what it feels like for a junkie to get their fix. That cap was hands down no question about it the best cap I have ever laid my lips to. Bold, smooth and just so...so....aaaaah. They have a nice set up of bar and tables and the smell of roasting coffee! It's not as comfy as I was picturing a "lighthouse" coffee place to be, but no biggie. This place could be on the side of the road in a barn for all I care. That coffee was better than excellent. Service was nice too. They were pretty slammed the whole time, especially with the drive through. PS. Stupid person with your dog in the car...DON'T freak out my barista with that sneaky bark attack ever again! Ok it wasn't the barista...it was me. Absolutely the BEST chai latte in town. I love that they offer non-dairy milks too. Everyone is always so nice. I skip Starbucks now and support local when I want to reward myself. I come by once a week just for this, luckily I live less than 10 minutes away. My favorite coffee spot in Sparks! The staff is friendly and patient. The drive-thru is quick, just watch the turn and the gutter. I'm pretty sure the staff knows my family's entire order by heart! Kids hot chocolate is always the perfect temperature and the right amount of chocolate. The chai lattes are so creamy and flavorful and consistent; this can't be said for larger coffee chains. Such a warm and welcoming environment! The moment I walked through the door I was impressed. Located in a humble little shopping center, the interior of this cafe is bright and cheery, perfect for relaxing with friends or getting some work done on your laptop. I enjoyed a matcha latte which was delicious, and well-priced for the size, compared to some other coffee joints in the area. I also got a cheddar bacon scone. Looks like they have a number of freshly baked goods available; I'll be stopping by in the morning next time (instead of an hour before closing) to see the full selection. I am a HUGE fan of dirty chai teas, but I'm lactose-intolerant so I have to opt for non-dairy milk. Sometimes cafes have great chais with milk, but their non-dairy chais fall below flat. This is not the case with Lighthouse. They carry oat milk as a non-dairy milk option, and it pairs so well with every drink they offer! Especially their blended dirty chai. My boyfriend first introduced me to their blended chai, which is *amazing* by itself. But make it dirty, and you have the best pick-me-up for any day you have ahead. He gets his with milk, and mine with oat milk of course. I even did a little taste test, and for some reason the oat milk version tastes better than the milk one! (I'm a little biased since I took only a sip, though) I always get great service regardless whether I go through the drive through or order inside. I love Lighthouse's dirty chai so much that it's become a guilty pleasure of mine whenever I'm having a bad day or need a little boost for my day. Lighthouse Coffee, you've got a good thing going! I'm fairly regular at the South Reno location, but when my travels take me into Sparks, I try and swing by the Lighthouse mothership. After all, it's where I first fell in love with this family, their business, product and where the culture of this company originated. From my experience, happy staff equal a quality product and a consistent experience for customers. Consistent experiences bring guests back repeatedly. Truth be told, the last time I came to this location, the other two did not exist. In fact, Todd and Melanie were both working here, Melanie on drive-thru and Todd at the register. There may have been another staff member helping, but it was really the two of them sharing their passion with each guest, insuring that everyone had a great experience. Today, I was greeted by two incredibly happy staff members. I didn't catch their names, but they were a solid team, running things by each other, and making sure everything was done efficiently and correctly. I ordered a cold brew, and every follow up question you could expect was asked and I was even encouraged to take yet another punch card with instructions to bring them all in so any of the other locations can combine them for me. It's this over and above positive attitude and friendly service that keeps me coming in to Lighthouse. That and the great coffee of course! read more

I needed somewhere to 1) hang out while waiting for a nearby Costco to open, 2) charge my iphone, 3) get a good cup of Americano coffee plus a bite to eat...and this Sparks Lighthouse Coffee filled the bill! I had just dropped off my dear husband at Reknown Hospital in Reno at 8am for a "heart scan" procedure which would take around 3-5 hours. Living 50 miles away, I decided to shop at a local Costco but the store would not open until 10am. There were several Starbucks closer to my location, but the 4.5 rating for this cafe caught my attention. This high rating is very accurate because of the friendly ladies taking your orders, the excellent coffee and breakfast sandwich and the cheerful warm ambiance.
