As a coffee connoisseur... I left a bit disappointed First off, the place kind of had a vommy smell. If you catch my drift as soon as you stepped up to the counter. It also needs a deep cleaning lol. I generally go to the location at the Sparks Marina, but this one was nearby during my errand runs. I chose to use the drive through and ordering was easy and quick. The staff were very friendly. I chose an iced chai tea and I honestly wouldn't again. The mix they use did not blend well and it was very chunky... I'm certain it's fine as a hot drink as I've had it at the other locations, but it is not good cold as it doesn't dissolve. I will absolutely come back as I love this business and the owners and really have never had a bad experience except for this one drink. read more

Perhaps the best Americano in town (also, 5/5 stars for social and environmental impact) I had coffee in a few places in Reno area and have to say that my Americano from Lighthouse Coffee was one of the best - better than Old World Coffee and at least on-par with Coffeebar. Tasted like a medium-roast, perhaps natural processed beans, fruity and very low bitterness. There's lots of seating outside overlooking the lake/ marina and inside is very pretty with lots of seating and two sofas facing each other across a coffee table. I use to come here daily to get some of the best coffee around and to work. Love the free WIFI and how you can work or just relax with friends and have conversations while drinking some good stuff. I always get the cold brew with a couple pumps of coconut. YES, coconut and don't hate, I'm from Hawaii so I miss that flavor sometimes lol. The cold brew is very strong which I love! My second go to drink is the infamous White Mocha. YUMMY! If you haven't tried the white mocha with oat milk then you're missing out. The drink is sooo good! I got the plain coffee with little cream and sugar. It was too bitter for me, but perfect for those who like their coffee strong. This is a great change up from the usual Starbucks run, we like to come here for sit down coffee and small breakfast bite. The inside is large with lots of seating. There's a variation of food options (burritos sandwiches and some pastries). It can get quite loud in there, as most coffee shops are but the staff tend to over compensate when they are talking to each other so even louder than the usual coffee shops. My good friend and I are on a bit of a mission to try to visit all the coffee spots in Reno. Our most recent stop was Lighthouse. In addition to a brewed coffee I had a blueberry muffin and I have to confess I enjoyed the muffin more than the coffee. The coffee was OK...nothing special. The blueberry muffin was just the right combination of everything that goes into a muffin like this. Not too moist and definitely not too sweet. There's not a lot of seating and it is quite loud with the grinders going every few minutes. If I were to come back here I'd definitely go through the drive up window. Unless I had to use the bathroom which was clean...unlike a few others we've been to recently. Im still not use to having to ask for sweeteners but that seems to be common practice in most places these days. read more

I finally got to stop into this coffee shop and I was even more pleased upon entering to see that they offer Mother Of Macros healthier choice donuts and breakfast burritos. Tons of drink options and specials also offered. I got a SF Vanilla, oat milk Latte, and it was delicious. Different than any latte I've had, and I've had many of these lattes at many other spots throughout the US! This one had its own unique delicious taste. The interior was super cute to catch up with friends or bring your laptop and get some work done. It does however get a bit noisy as they offer smoothies, so the blender is often going. They offer drive thru which is very convenient but if you have the chance to stop in, I definitely suggest checking it out. read more

Delicious and amazing way to start you day off right or even get it back on track. My wife has enjoyed this place for a little while now and finally got around to taking me along one random morning. It where the old American Java Chip coffee spot use to be (wasn't much of a fan of that spot) but this place seems to to be doing everything right and has a full and happy staff to go along with it. We ordered two mochas and one chocolate chip scone. The mocha was a lil sweet for me but was good none the less. The scone was a lil under sweetened (exactly how it should be) which gave the morning bite and sip a good balance. The place was also quite busy, both inside seating wise and the drive thru so it obviously seems to be doing well. Prices are basically normal when compared to all the other made to order coffee shops. Run us $12 for all three items before tip. Look forward to coming back soon! read more

The best coffee in Spanish Springs for sure but it comes at a price: You have to go through a drive thru, which I rarely do, or order inside and deal with the luke warm service and dirty counters. If I'm drinking a high priced coffee, I prefer to sit down and relax, read the news on my phone, and maybe have something small to eat. While the bagels are good, its gross to have to clean the area I'm sitting at while the staff is too busy dealing with the drive thru to pay attention. I want to add that I was impressed who seemed to be a manager teaching someone to make those cool designs on the top. He was very patient and kind to the girl he was teaching, I just wish they would take care of the dining room. read more

During the times I tried to stay close to home and needed caffeine to get through assignments (especially during the weekend) I've been heading to Lighthouse coffee it's a short drive and their caramilla with almond milk is divine. The caramilla consists of (Espresso, Caramel, Vanilla, Milk). I see that it can be ordered blended. I've tried it iced but seem to prefer the hot version. They also have a variety of pastries. I've tried a vanilla scone, chocolate chip coffee and sticky bun (cinnamon roll) which were very good. Sometime back I went in and used it as my off he for a few hours it was a nice mixture of people but not overly noisy to get work done. One of the best experiences in Reno area was the Lighthouse Coffee. I spent time there during the baseball breaks. The staff is very friendly and helpful, young, energetic and friendly. The coffeehouse has a beautiful retro feel to it. I had the cold dirty matcha latte which was perfect and creamy, as well and a nice crispy flaky croissant I loved it so much next day I came here during the break to work for a while, how many times in coffee shops you see them make the wrong drink and just toss t? As I was working, one of the young ladies at the cashier walk over with a chai Frappuccino that she had made extra and offered it to me to take!! Very nice touch and sensible decision. I've been visiting this Lighthouse Coffee for quite sometime. I love the location being on the Sparks Marina with great views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. This coffee house is charming inside with large windows, with a semi rustic vibe. The tables are high tops that sort of jammed in there. There is also lower seating with bench type seating with wood tabletops . There is a small area off to the side with small couches. So upon ordering my usual latte I glance at the cold case with muffins, cupcakes and other sweets. Then I spied scones, one of favorites, so I also ordered that along with my Vanilla latte. I found a place to sit on one of those couches of to the side. So I took a sip of the latte and began to take a bite of the scone and found it to be very dry and crumbly. A disappointment since I hadn't one since a Fair in Washington state back in the Nineties. Anyway, my latte was as satisfying as usual.. Lighthouse does offer plant based milk alternatives, which pleases me since I drink oat milk . They also have a small menu including sandwiches and Quiche. And they offer shakes and smoothies. I give Lighthouse a four because of the dry scone and the traffic flow up to the counter can get clogged. But I recommend it before or after a walk around the Marina. read more
