Food is always great. Unfortunately I got a young server who couldnt handle the task. After waiting 10 minutes, yep 10. She said she a larger table- mistake! Took my order then took 4 other tables. -mistake. Some people don't (who work) have the luxury of waiting on a slow server. She was nice but sooooo slow. I left! Never had that happen usually the service is great along with the food. Cant always have great reviews..so this one stings. I'll be back but sit at the counter. I'm new to town from New England, my friend is a regular here. She recommended the Fried Green Tomato salad which comes with fresh goat cheese - I have had plenty of fried green tomatoes in my lifetime, and you have to believe me when I tell you that this salad was totally out of this world!!! Amazing!!! Kevin served us and was an absolute rockstar, I love his former-New Yorker energy!! The orange juice was freshly squeezed and delicious. I don't give out five stars often, and this place is definitely going to be one of my new favorites. Highly recommend! read more

We were staying up the road at Jupiter waterfront inn (highly recommend) and came here for breakfast on last day. Wish we had come sooner, and for lunch. Shakes with booze! The breakfast selection is huge! Standard eggs and toast, plus breakfast burritos, Benedict's, omelettes, hashes, pancakes, waffles, etc. Their daughter got bananas foster challah French toast, the husband got corned beef hash and I went totally outside my norm and got the chili omelette. Walk in and you're transported to the 50's, great booths, comfortable tables and counter service with stools, they have it all. While the ambiance is great it's about the food and this is where they really shine. I ordered the corned beef hash and instantly knew it was home made, it is. My wife and I liked it so much we ate there again the next day because we were leaving town and had to do it. We stopped in for breakfast on a Thursday and happened to catch the blackened shrimp and pimento cheese eggs benedict and it was easily one of the best breakfast I've ever had! It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great!! Highly recommend. They also have a full bar so they make true bloody Mary's! read more

The food at the lighthouse diner that my wife and I had was not bad, eggs, bacon and some toast. we both had ordered some orange juice as well, which came in the small plastic cups. upon checkout my wife guessed how much ??? I tell her 47 dollars, she gasps. after looking at the bill closer they charged us 21 dollars for the little cups of OJ. when we asked why their response was it is fresh squeezed!!. hoping the owner reads this , listen we live in Florida , probably the number 1 producer of oranges in the US, you don't have to price gouge the orange juice. even if you have to grow them oranges in the back and squeeze them it's still not worth 7 dollars a cup. read more

This place is a Jupiter institution. I've been eating here since it was lighthouse restaurant in truck stop back in the 1960s. It's gone through a couple owners since then and is now been reinvented in Diner form and is just as good as it always was. The prices are exceptionally reasonable and the food is really really good. Fast and pleasant service makes it a really really great place to stop and grab a quick bite. I have probably eaten a thousand meals in this place. It's good to see it's still there and doing well, it's a memory from my childhood because I had my first meal there almost 60 years ago. It was good then it's good now, stop in have a meal you won't be disappointed!!! read more

Four stars for service: Service was very good and very prompt. Three stars for food: pancake was delicious and bigger than my head and my seconds plate of eggs was very good. Issues: my first plate of eggs was cold. The whole plate was cold, the eggs were cold, nothing was even warm to the touch. The home fries were also cold and a few weren't cooked through. Corrections: the eggs were remade and they came out hot and tasted great, the server was also excellent about it. I will try again, maybe lunch next time. Definition of decent. I got the eggs Benedict and other people got the hash, and the fried chicken. The brisket hash was probably the tastiest thing. The eggs benedict were good, but nothing special. The fried chicken had a thick batter and an interesting flavor (not necessarily bad). The prices were around $12 for each item. The food wasn't worth the cost imo. read more

As a Jupiter native I have always supported local businesses. This morning we arrived as a group of 5 families and were told that even though they had room to seat us they would not accommodate separate checks. The manager never came over to help with a solution and left it to the teenager to handle the situation. Instead of coming up with a solution like 2 families on one check or adding an additional wait staff they refused to accommodate. I've worked in customer service for many years and Before you ask these questions I'll answer them. The back room was empty. There was a lot of staff walking around. 5 star reviews for me are strict as I have worked in restaurants and have strict standards. I have visited the Lighthouse diner almost 10 times and every time has been spot on perfect. I've had the Benedict, pancakes, burger, meatloaf, enchiladas, salads and a few other things I can't remember. Very clean and classic diner vibe. Staff is always cheerful and professional. I went on a Sunday morning and there was a wait for a table, but the counter was first come first serve, so we chose that option. The menu has the usual breakfast selections with a flair. Been ten years easily since last visit, but definitely been too long! Good atmosphere, super friendly service and the food is better than I remembered. Happy to bump this to four stars as I think both the menu changes and food are improvements. Had a large cheeseburger that actually had a delicious beefy taste, with thick smoky flavorful bacon, and topped with a perfectly cooked fried egg. The included french fries were golden and crispy with creamy centers. A bit goofy to brag on a "diner" burger but it was really good. My wife had an attractive salad brimming with fresh fruit and a cup of wonderful homemade "golden" pea soup, the kind that takes hours to cook. There is skill and caring in the kitchen. Many new and interesting items for the adventurous or just plain diner fare for the rest of us. BTW: Can't remember last time so many employees welcomed or thanked me! Nice. read more

Where do I begin at how bad this place is. 5 of us for dinner 2 minutes after ordering one entree shows up and it looked like they salvaged it out of the dumpster in the back. It was barely warm chic pot pie. 10 minutes goes by, and still waiting for our drinks, and then 3 more entrees show up. These were in barley better shape than the pot pie. Abominable food. Beyond gross!!! Ate the entrees, what we could stomach, and then a bowl of soup showed up after we were almost done eating. Nothing they can do will make me come back here. Ever! Met here tonight with a group of writers sharing original work and a quick bite. We were able to enjoy the early bird special and it was a decent meal for a reasonable price. I opted for the local made sausage with sauerkraut, served with a side salad and a drink. It's my understanding that this location is used monthly for our meetings, so I'll be returning in the future. The proprietor seems to be very accommodating to groups needing meeting space. Breakfast on 7/19/15. Back with another group for a nice hearty meal after a 3 mile beach walk. Great service, nice location, this was our first visit to this well known diner. We came for dinner one night and the service was excellent from our very attentive, pleasant waiter. Although the food was tasty, it was not the best, deserving of four or five stars. My husband ordered the Brisket "from the smoke house" but he thought it was too fatty and thin. His side order of grilled vegetables was excellent! I had the Aunt Carolee's Beef and Noodles and it was delicious in flavor. It should have been called Noodles and Beef, since the small cubes of beef were lost in the noodles. It was tasty just the same. We will return, but probably go for breakfast or lunch! read more
