You could tell how much thought and effort went in to presentation, flavor and diversity. I loved the peach cream baked french toast so much I had to look up similar recipes so I can make it at home. There were always cold drinks in the mini fridge, ice in the cooler, water in a pitcher, snacks in a bowl and best of all something homemade every day. I can't decide if my favorite was the rocky road bars, or this chocolate peanut buttery rice crispy like dessert. We stayed in both the Sunrise Suite and the Starfish room because neither were available for all five days. Both are fantastic! Hot roomy showers, oh so comfy robes, soft sheets and towels, mattresses that were not too soft nor too hard, perfectly painted, and well chosen decor. The house has a covered porch on three sides so there are loungers in both the shade and in the sun by the pool. My favorite spot was the swing. The beach is a five minute walk away, not crowded at all, and made for long walks. I love to travel and try new places, but Surf Song on Tybee is a place I will look forward to returning to in the years to come. I wished we lived closer so we could visit several times a year.

Breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed chatting with the owner, as she was super attentive, warm, and friendly. We enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch swing before heading out for a walk on a the beach once the rain had cleared. We will absolutely be back to Surf Song for another stay in the near future! We cannot recommend it enough!

There were an assortment of herbal teas and popcorn for an evening snack. Hot coffee and perhaps homemade cookies would have added a homey touch ti the evening! We stayed in the private's quarters which was very clean and comfortable with everything one could need/want in a room. Breakfast was very nice with great options and being served in the dining room/cafe location made it a great way to start the day. We felt very catered to. Loved that they offered beach chairs and bikes for guests. The only suggestion that we could offer is if you stay on the first floor of the house expected that the visitors above you may be heavy footed and the sound will echo other than that we really enjoyed out stay.

I had great communication with our host. She was so sweet, very accommodating, and quick to respond. I loved my second story patio and the beautiful courtyard with outdoor showers to use after coming home from the beach. The kitchen was a great size for me and my husband and I really loved the bed. It was king sized and sooo comfy. Added to the blackout curtains I had the best night sleep I have had in awhile. I will definitely be booking again in the future!

Added to this they provided a parking pass which trivializes moving around Tybee so that was a nice perk. Our bed was new and surprisingly soft. The space was a little cramped for me at 6'8" but the bed was a great size and I'm cramped In a lot of spots so no knocks here. We'll consider staying here again.

I don't think it's been touched since the hotel was built dirt dust in the corners just pile of dirt. We left a day early. He showed up on a Thursday and left on Saturday we had to get out do not rent this place. Use an extreme caution. It's a dump... I couldn't breathe in that room from the mold in the mildew smell. Sinuses have been so messed up since I got home. Do not rent this place. Take my advice look somewhere else.

The hotel check in was easy and the people at the front desk were very friendly, and gave us lots of good information! We got to the room and instantly smelled skunk (weed)..... we opened the door to hopefully get it to get cleared and it helped a little bit. But we could still smell it. Otherwise the beds were nice when we went into the room. The bathroom was alright seems kind of tacky and cheaply put together.... And we kept finding hair everywhere (in the bathtub, in the sink, on the floor). The floor seemed sticky as well, we just stayed in our flip flops the whole time.

It was less than half full this week. Our bathroom had not been cleaned: several different lengths and colors of hair in the bathtub and on the shower walls, no toilet paper, no body wash, shampoo or hand soap. Shampoo was filled with something orange not their usual Beekmans 1802 fresh air shampoo ( its clear). We had to visit the office and call the office before we had anyone take care of the bathroom. Did I mention no towels? We have never encountered this before and hopefully will not again.

Eww. Eww. Eww. My…read moreskin is crawling and my stomach nauseous as I write this review. This place is absolutely horrendous. The room was absolutely FILTHY. There was dirt and hair on the beds. What looked like urine stains on the sides of the bed. We opened the fridge and there was old moldy Chinese food left by a previous guest. I peeped over the wall in the bathroom and there was what looked like a dead bird. I saw mold and a wing. I was so scared. The night manager said he couldn't do anything, but he did offer to call other 'sister' hotels, but it didn't seem like that had even happened. He gave us the room key to the 'king' sweet and to our surprise, it was in even worse shape that the i tail room. It reeked of cigarettes (non smoking unit) and there dirt everywhere. It's clear these rooms are NEVER cleaned and are quite frankly hazardous for your health. I wish I was being dramatic, but I am not. I used the bathroom, and I even regret doing that. There was blue sharpie on the inside of the toilet paper roll...wtf. So, THANK THE LORD, we were saved by the comfort and welcoming environment of Hotel Tybee. Never never never never never book here. Save yourself the distress.
