What a Great place and The Most wonderful Girls in the office We did our Walk through and application with "Betty" Ann was busy but they were both so helpful and took care of my friend. I think it should have been clear that the month ends 17 days earlier than the anniversary. I wrote down exactly what the manager told us. Give 10 days notice within 5 days of the first of the month. That would have put us at 11/15 departure date, but instead it was hurry up and get out on 10/31. Not professional at all. Plus there are NO 10x3 units at the HB location, according to the manager. If this is not true, then you need to take all of this up with him. Bad communication, poor customer service. I am happy to give rave reviews when companies deserve it, but unfortunately, this was handled poorly. A good deal does not give companies the excuse to lie and give poor customer service. read more

The place is clean, easy parking, very secure with alarms/cameras, great music and I feel safe there. Plus great rates. I had a horrible experience with customer service at this facility. I had previously been a tenant and came back because the facility was close to my home. Big mistake. After being there for 2 years, and previously having a unit for 2 years, the office left an extremely bad taste in my mouth. Because I did not give them a 10 day notice, they charged me for 10 days that I am not even going to be there. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I am constantly using storage units, as I move frequently. After how rude the associate that helped me was, I will never come back. The first time I left, I had a bad experience because they would not give me extended hours (which they say they will do at anytime) to move. If you like terrible customer service, this is the place to go! read more

The last time I went to a storage place, I didn't have a good experience. The place was disgusting. I was so surprised when I went to this one, Beach Blvd. Self Storage. IT WAS VERY VERY CLEAN!!! No disgusting smell either. The best part was the manager, Betty Davis. She went above and beyond to help my mom and I. I went there with the goal of downsizing my mom's storage unit - after two trips to goodwill to donate a lot of my mom's stuffs and separated the papers for recycle and trash, my mom went to Betty to ask if she has a smaller unit. Betty said yes. She showed it to me and then I showed her what else we have left in the big storage. I told her that if I can dump the trash somewhere and not have to take them with me, I will be able to put more of my mom's things in my car to bring home; hence, boxes I will leave in the storage should fit in the small unit. Betty mentioned that she can dump them in the waste bin there - she came with the cart and collected them, I was then able to put more things in my car, stacked the boxes in the small unit like tetris (as suggested by Betty) and IT WORKED!!! The small unit will save my mom $20 a month... Not only was Betty helpful, she has a sweet personality, she was talking to my mom like she's known her for a long time. She treated my mom (who is 79) with respect and kindness. I was very impressed!!! Thank you so much Betty for your help...you were a lifesaver!!! read more

Friends who were neighboors were out of the country, and the house they rented suddenly was sold and everyone had to leave by the end of July - just a week to move everything out for the five living there. Called the competing Public Storage down the street on Magnolia and Warner because they were closer, but they couldn't get around the fact that some of the renters were outside the country - had to have them in person to sign the rental agreement to use their credit card to pay for the place. Naturally, I was only a friendly neighboor, but didn't want to get stuck with sudden self-storage space rentals and agreements under my name all of a sudden. Lighthouse was the second closest place, and they were more than willing to work with our situation to get us a place that day so we could start the massive, sudden move out of the home and into storage. One gal who was living at the house did pick Public Storage because it was closer, but in comparison, the two are a world apart. 1. Both places have outside facing storage units and units inside. The outside facing units on both have metal roll up doors, and naturally, a bit hotter because the sun will shine on them all year around. 2. The inside storage units are where the two differ greatly. The gal got a Public Storage on the ground floor, the others got a Lighthouse storage in the basement. The Public Storage room was one in a long row of rooms from the front to the back of the facility. It was just a basic wood-framed, white painted, wood-door affair. None of them were air-conditioned and I could feel the hot late July heatwave walking down the aisle and especially inside the Public Storage room. Inside the Public Storage room, little light got in, so dark and simply wood framing, concrete floor. You can imagine dust, dirt, bugs, whatever crawling and floating in all day long. Can't remember too many cameras along the place, but there was the occasional, smaller home-security type up high. The Lighthouse room was far, far better. A nice elevator ride to the basement, very clean concrete aisles with metal for the walls and doors all the way down. Air conditioning kept the place nice and cool, and there were cameras facing the aisles behind big black domes up high. The Lighthouse room had solid metal doors, solid metal locking hardware versus Public Storage's wood door, cheaper metal locking hardware. You can easily imagine someone kicking down a Public Storage door, but never for the Lighthouse door. The lighting was far better in the Lighthouse, able to see clearly across the whole 10x8' storage to the back and top. No issues here. The Public Storage room was dark, and just a few feet in, you'd have to wait to let your eyes adjust to be able to see anything in the back. Comfy vs. creepy. Both places required a cylinder (circle shaped) lock. Buy one there for the usual ~$15+/-, or bring your own. Lighthouse had several big, easy rolling dollys at the ground floor by the elevator for use (easily handling 6+ large boxes, huge drawers and desks); Public Storage didn't have any out in the aisle (you might have to visit the office to see if they have any for checkout). Thus, it was always very convenient to pull up with a car loaded with boxes and more, roll it right down to your storage room. In Public, you'd have to carry each box over to the interior room. Lighthouse asks for a 10-day notice; Public 1-day to check out. Both have big metal gates that require keycode access. Lighthouse uses a more sensible 4-digit code, Public is so long, you'll never memorize it (8-digits). Both have day and night access, so never an issue getting to your things at a reasonable hour. Naturally, cutoff by about 9pm, so you can't be moving things in either place at midnight. Public is tucked way behind an apartment complex, not easily seen from the street, so you'd better GPS your way there. Lighthouse is sensibly right on the street corner, so impossible to miss their huge sign from any direction. 3. Pricing varies depending on room size and such at both locations, but expect the usual $100+ for each month of rental. Nothing unusual for their agreements, both can easily process you into a space within an hour, and both have very friendly and nice employees. In the end, if you have to pay for one place, the winner is Lighthouse by far!! Everything about the facility and storage room is just nice, nice, nice, and you keep looking for issues that make you want to run to somewhere else, but there aren't any! It's just a very well-built, nicely air conditioned, clean, quiet, well-lit storage facility that makes me happy. (Public makes me overheat and feel I'm breathing in too much dust, and their cheaper wood doors don't make me feel secure.) Highly recommended storage facility - and thank you for making my life and the life of my neighboors easier!! read more

I just happened to come in to this place with a friend and ended up loving the customer service SO MUCH that I decided I am going to move all my shit to this place! Not only is it super clean and safe but I found that when I have to go to storage to get my things I constantly have to deal with the people at my current storage who are not very helpful at all! UNLIKE Beach Storage! These girls went so out of their way for us that I just had to take the time to HELP OTHER PEOPLE GET TO THIS PLACE! LOVE IT! read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. Let's start with no "rebate" they suck you in with. I never got the 20.00 for admin fee rebate, they never responded to any of my messages. When I got there, I could not get in because they had the wrong code, and it took me going back and forth 3 times to get it straightened out. They are curt, humorless, and unprofessional, and the only reason I left my things there was I was too busy to trot it all back out. I will never do business with this company again, and I recommend the readers look elsewhere. read more

beach blvd storage is one of the cleanest storage facilities iv leased a storage locker at iv been to other spots i don't think any location can be anymore friendly or helpful as the managers were here i was in a situation once with my u-haul door would not shut they came over and helped me finally get it unstuck and pulled it down i recommend beach blvd storage to anyone who needs a storage locker very friendly there! read more
