The shrimp was served with the tail attached, and according to the waitress you have to ask if you don't want the tails.lol. They took the dish back and returned it with the tail cut off. This is a new Thai restaurant in the Lighthouse Point neighborhood we decided to try. As my guest stated, "the food was good, the service was outstanding and we will be going again." I am happy because I love asian cuisine and just introduced some new restaurants and tasty dishes to him. We arrived early and there was only one table open. Parking was easy in the lot, however during season it fills up. We were greeted and served quickly. We tried the spring rolls and a tuna roll as an appetizer. I sometimes crave sushi! Both were great. Our entrees were Chicken Teriyaki and Penang Chicken. Both were served with rice. We were very happy with our choices. The prices were in line with the location and this restaurant is very close to home. I believe it will become a regular weekend stop. read more

Sydney and Mike here! We started off with the spring rolls and steamed shumai (shrimp dumpling). Sydney got the spicy tuna crispy rice and, per the waitress' recommendation, the blue monster roll. Mike got the miso soup and massaman curry with mild spice. Syd: I thought the spring rolls were delicious but I was disappointed in the shumai - they were tiny and room temperature with little flavor in my opinion. It was my first time trying spicy tuna crispy rice and it was tasty but the crisp was a bit thick. It hit the spot but I was expecting a little bit more. The blue monster roll was very good and I enjoyed it! Still, overall not the highest of quality sushi I have ever had but it fulfilled my sushi fix so I was satisfied. Mike: The miso soup was splendid. The Massaman caught my eye because it had sweet potato which I love. I didn't expect there to be whole cherry tomatoes in it or for it to be topped with sliced avocado. Regardless, I had a couple and ate around the rest and thoroughly enjoyed it despite not being the most classic Massaman curry. I do wish there'd been more potato! read more

We ordered two won ton soups, a shrimp fried rice, and a spring roll which came to $38. We were surprised that they were so expensive compared to other restaurant prices. We came here for lunch and had a very good experience. The restaurant is brand new. They'd only been open one week when we visited. Inside it's bright and clean. The restaurant is located on the east side of US 1 (Federal Hwy) in the same shopping center as the Sicilian Oven and the Fish Shack -- on the (same) north side. In addition to dine in, they do take out, delivery, and catering. They have a number of lunch specials -- only available on weekdays from 11:30 am to 3 pm. There are Thai, Sushi, and lunch boxes. I chose their (Thai) red curry with shrimp. I got the salad that came with it (or you can have miso soup instead). The salad is the usual bowl of iceberg lettuce with carrots shreds and a tomato topped with ginger sauce. Everything was cold and crisp and refreshing. The curry had bamboo shoots,bell peppers, zucchini, and basil leaves along with the shrimp. It had a slight kick to it. You can request it spicier, if you wish. The flavor of the sauce was very tasty. A small mound of white rice came on the side. My husband had their sushi lunch -- 5 pieces of sushi (chef's choice) and 4 pieces of a California roll. There was thin slices of shrimp, salmon, tuna, escolar, and another white fish on top of rice. He also chose the salad to start. He liked his meal. They have a full menu of both Thai and Japanese dishes. All sorts of rolls - cucumber wrapped;basic/hand rolls, and special rolls -- separated by cooked and raw categories. I liked that they had more than half a dozen options for no rice/ cucumber wrapped rolls, as well. On the Thai side, there are entrees, noodle soups, plus various fried rice and different types of noodle dishes. Plus of course, stir fries and curries. We have gotten take out several times now and this place has not disappointed. The portions are large and the food is very good. On this night I got the Lighthouse Fried Rice ($21.65). I will get it again and if you like fried rice definitely try this version. It has shrimp, excellent very tender beef, chicken, peas, carrots, onion and scallions. Delicious! We also got a fried dumpling called Gyoza. A Japanese pork pot sticker. Excellent and the dipping sauce was fantastic. ($9.10 for 6). We also got the Three Buddy. Chicken, beef and shrimp with mixed vegetables. Again, a hit with us. The portions are large enough to share or make excellent left over for lunch. The food Both of our orders were delicious and made fresh. We both tried something new it had blue in the title and we loved it. The portion was enough for us two to share two orders. The seating Limited seating inside and two small tables outside Service There were two servers running around and they did a great job getting to everyone. The food did take a bit to get done. It was made to order. If there are only two servers again, I would recommend ordering quickly. The wait When we arrived the place was full, but we were seated relatively quickly. Once seated it took a while for someone to come and take our order, so we were glad that while waiting to be seated we had looked at the menu and decided on what to order. Last Tuesday (7/26/22) we went to Lighthouse Point to eat at Fish Shack, only to find a "closed for vacation " sign on the door. Close by, in same parking lot, we saw Lighthouse Thai/Sushi and decided to try it. We were the only patrons @ 5:30 pm so we chose our table and ordered 2 Kirin beers and Spring Rolls. Those Spring Rolls were straight out of the fryer, HOT !! Sooooo good!! For entrees, we both ordered Chicken Pad Thai and it was excellent!! Just the perfect mix of sweet coconut/ peanut sauce with low heat . They have a busy take out patronage; but at 6:15 they had a few couples for eat in seating, but no wait. Well...I wanted to try it when they were still "hot off the press," so to speak, because sometimes when you bring fried items home--by the time they get home, the flavor can change. Don't judge me!!! It was my fiancé and I's first time at Lighthouse Thai & Sushi and everything was absolutely delicious. We started off with Crab Rangoons which we both agreed were the best we ever had. The Hamachi Jalapeño appetizer melted in your mouth, it was so fresh and flavorful. We ordered two Specialty Rolls which were the Crazy Yellowtail Roll & The Dream Roll. Ease of ordering online was great. Upon pickup, we were missing an item and staff was very rude when we said to them, one of the items is missing, would you please double check. On the ticket, the person had only entered 3 of the 4 items, but we had already been charged for the four. When we got home, the curry was Massaman, not Green as ordered. Taste of the food was barely ok, not great, not spectacular. We will continue to go to Larb where service and taste of food is amazing! Finally a must go to new Thai Japanese restaurant in Pompano Beach. This is a small restaurant which gets busy and fill up FAST.... You might have to wait but let me tell you, it is so worth it. We already can here 3 time since they open and all of the three time, the service and the food are awesome. My favorite from the sushi bar is the Duo.... No rice , just fresh fish and Tobiko of different color... Crunchy rice are also good. The crispy rice are perfectly fried and crispy topped with spicy tuna. There are 4 piece in an order but it is big so you can even have this for a meal or just share as an appetizer. From the Thai kitchen, their soup is a must. We have wonton soup and vegetables soup. Their soup broth for both are on point. Their panang curry are sooooooo good. Everything just melts in your mouth. For the noodle, they have a Thai authentic soup. I've order the beef boat soup and the red seafood soup which they called it Yen Ta Fo.... They Both are sooooo good. Can't wait to come back and try new items. Will definitely be back.... read more

I tried this place for the first time. Food was just "ok" for the cost. Ordered a noodle wonton soup for $17.00. It came in a small plastic container, not even the regular size wonton soup containers, but one that is half the size. The noodles came in a separate small plastic container. For the price, we thought it would feed 2 people. The regular wonton soup is about $6.00-$7.00 so we thought a $17.00 wonton soup would feed 2 people. It did not. If it was really good food, I would have just said, oh well, it was tasty so it is ok that it was expensive for what we got. But the taste was just "ok". Nothing to remember.
