Claire has been a guiding light on my yoga journey and has welcomed me with open arms from the very beginning. I've been taking classes with Shakti, Arjuna, and Jessica, and each instructor brings something truly beautiful to the mat. I've always thought yoga is a great way to relieve stress and give your body a much needed cleanse. I had heard of Lighthouse Yoga and decided to give them a try. First of all parking is super easy as there are plenty of parking spots all around the building. It's located on the 3rd floor and just follow the scent of incense once out of the elevators. The studio itself is super clean and very welcoming. Our instructor Shakti was amazing. She had the perfect pace which was great and accommodating for all levels. Her voice is very soothing and encouraging. I truly enjoyed her giving us options and letting us go at our own speed while at the same time keeping us focused on our breathing. In the end, my body felt sore but my mind felt clear. The perfect reset from the busy day to day of Miami hustle. I highly recommend Shakti and Lighthouse when looking for Yoga or other wellness options. read more

I don't know how to put in words the gravity of love and support I got through this studio. I showed up to a workshop and ended up becoming a regular for years. The community supported me through hard times, good times, and many transitions in between. Things to know: The studio is L shape with one whole wall full of pine trees that can be seen from the window. There are cork board floor- no shoes. There's a beautiful lake and picnic space outside if you opt for a day workshop or longer it's good to enjoy a snack there. I did my 200 & 300hr here along with many workshops. This studio has a big emphasis on breath and meditation- although there is still much asana! I would say the kriyas are a highlight and can be physically challenging. It's worth a try and remember no one here is judging you. We are all focused on our own challenge facing us on the mat. I first met Claire (the owner/ yoga instructor of 305 Yoga) at Yoga in the Park at Royal Park West a little more over a year ago & that's the only yoga instructor I've gone to ever since! She's so knowledgeable, helpful, sweet and giving! She somehow knows the purpose of why you chose to come to class and makes it her mantra for the session. I was introduced to lighthouse by my wife. I had done yoga in the past but wasn't very serious about it. I decided to come and try out the stretch and meditation class. This class was super relaxing besides the fact I'm not flexible at all and some positions were a bit challenging but it hit the spot. I was also invited to a kriya class which is breath work, chanting and movements in this practice. This type of yoga I have never heard of and was very curious, I didn't know what to expect. After 75 min I was mind blown.....the experience I had was cosmic!!! The store is very nice, peaceful and staff always very welcoming. Claire the owner which is such an amazing person. Since day one I felt like I was part of the community. What really stands out is that Claire is very attentive to each individual and really gets to know the person. I write this review a little over year after my first visit. I also attended a retreat lighthouse offers to India. The best way to describe my experience for those 10 days was straight bliss. I literally went as one person and came back another. This retreat is packed with fun, knowledge, beauty and experiences that open your eyes and heart. I do recommend this retreat to anyone and everyone. I also wanted to add I am now a yoga teacher as well. It's just incredible to see how just one choice in your life can make such a drastic change in it. I'm grateful for being a part of lighthouse and has become a big part of my life. Behold, the reason my Yelping slowed down this year... This year I took a huge break from dining out and playing in the city to feeding my soul and playing with my chakras! For some time I knew I wanted to become a Yoga teacher. Don't ask me why, something inside me just kept pulling me in that direction. After having this studio pop back into my consciousness (and my google searches) several times I finally made the time to go visit it. The moment I walked in, I knew. Not only that this is where I had to do it but that $#!% was going to go down in this space. The magic of this studio cannot be denied. I left my deposit that very same day and went on the rest of the year counting down the minutes to start. February of 2018 I began my teach training here. It's now October and I keep coming back for more workshops, classes and community. This is not only a studio. It's a sacred space. It's magic. It's love. It's light. It's HOME. I could not possibly put into words how it and the people in it (shout to to Claire Z., Laurie and my TT sisters {and brother} ::insert heart emojis here) have completely shifted my experience in this life. I am never the same person walking out as I am walking in. If you're reading this and any part of you has been thinking of doing teacher training, this message is for you. This is it. I am telling you that whatever sign you've been waiting to receive to be sure, you now have it. I felt your hesitation and felt compelled to write this to YOU. Do it. Do it now. This place is great, a hidden gem in Miami Lakes. I found them because of a special they're running on FB $65 for 6 weeks. I'm in week two and I have to say that I love it! I've taken classes with instructor Danielle the 1/2 yoga (levels 1 & 2) and with Jessica for the same levels. And Basic Yoga with Keeley. THE GOOD: The studio is fairly small, I've never seen more than 16 people fit. This is great because the instructor gets to see and help everyone. The classes are 75 minutes to 90 minutes long :) The instructors are excellent !!! THE NOT SO GOOD: It's on the third floor of an office building. Next door there is a rehabilitation office and it seems like they're always dropping weights on the floor and the noise is distracting. THE WORSE PARTS: Even with the A/C on, it feels like you're in a HOT Yoga studio. Be prepared to sweat!!! Sometimes the instructors open the windows and during the day - people smoke outside and the smell comes in. During the night the Mosquitos have a field day with you! The front desk girls like to burn incense, and the smell is so strong. I've always found this to be a turn off at yoga studios. FINAL WORDS: I have asked that they not burn incense when I come in and they have accommodated me ;) and I have also asked that they close the door and they have done that too. I will keep going, even after the special is over. It's the best yoga studio I've found in the area. read more

305 Yoga has another location in MIMO, but they just recently opened up this yoga studio in the Miami Lakes area. It has such an awesome energy and a great view! The yoga instructors are great. I am new to yoga and I'm thrilled that I found them. They are very patient and gentle with beginners, and they also offer more advanced yoga classes for the more experienced folks. A quick look at their webpage shows that they are more than just yoga instructors. They do a lot of outreach community work through their yoga, too! Plus they do trips to India. I'm so glad I found them. The owner, Terri, once said -- "if you take yoga once a week, it will change your mind, if you take yoga 3 times a week, it will change your body, if you take yoga everyday, it will change your life." Never in my life did I think yoga would become a part of my daily routine. But one day I saw a sign offering a special in this new Miami Lakes studio. After messing up my knees from years of running I needed something more low impact and decided to give it a try. I honestly cannot say enough about the staff here as well as the Miami Shores location. Not only are all the instructors extremely knowledgeable, but so kind. If you have an injury anywhere on your body they are quick to offer a number of modifications. They offer several different types of classes as well as workshops. A very, very special place. My journey with Lighthouse Yoga began in 2017 having less than a year experience practicing yoga. When I moved back to Miami from Orlando I needed a place to feel in community, and the moment I arrived to Lighthouse Yoga I received just that. I began to practice so much initially coming in with an intro deal, however a few weeks later I was given the opportunity to step into the role of a karma yogi. I would support with getting students signed in for class, cleaning and prepping the studio before and after class. In 2018 I became so exited about the reveal of the new 200-hour teacher training that I decided to sign up for it. Not long after I completed it, I was back to take my 300- hour teacher training. When I completed my 300 - hour teacher training in 2019 I was given another amazing opportunity to step into the role as studio manager. This place is a vortex for self growth. There is something so serene, calming, and humbling about yoga. This studio is no different. Located on the third floor of an office building, this studio oversees a beautiful lake. The instructors are helpful, accommodating, and soothing. They offer 1-5 classes a day with convenient hours and have fair pricing. The classes are never too packed. Being semi-new to the yoga life, I did not feel pressured at all here to over exert myself. Everyone is supportive and sticks to their own practice. Went to my first class at this studio last night and I'm happy to report back that it's a good place to be. I bought a living social deal for 45 days of unlimited yoga and it was very refreshing to see the staff did not treat you in any different because of it. They're located on the 3rd floor towards the back of the building. As soon as you walk in you smell the amazing incense all yoga studios are know for. The reception/retail area is very small but cozy and not crowed. There's a place where you can leave your shoes. There's only one studio other places have at least two or more. The studio has wood/laminate flooring (not sure if it's real wood but I think it's not). It has a very calming feel to it. They keep the member yoga mats and props in a cart outside. One of the main walls is glass and I think this is great because you can see the outside (there's a lot of greenery and a lake outside so this adds to the calming feel). The teacher "M" was great, she not only knows her stuff but you can tell she loves her job. She starts the class by asking if there's any injuries and new comers. The class is 75 min long and it goes through all your basic yoga poses. Also she takes some time for lifts and inversions. Throughout the class she keeps you motivated and challenged. My favorite thing about her was that she's not afraid to touch you and position you the way you're supposed to be, I think this is extremely important because it's the only way to really learn and grow in your practice. The only negative is that the studio space is small. I overheard that on Saturday they had 29 students and I can't imagine how they fit them all. One of the things that turns me off studios is when students are in there like sardines one on top of another you can't move without hitting each other you are literally sweating and breathing on each other. This is why I stopped going to blue sol yoga in Weston. Still I'm excited of having found what seems to be a good yoga studio. read more

There is even a section where you can by some books, mat, malas and decorative items to begin or enhance your practices. What an amazing place! I was connected to Claire (owner & teacher) by sheer luck (divine timing) and I couldn't have asked for a better way to be welcomed into the amazing practice of Yoga. I started with their Intro to Yoga workshop with Kitty and it really helped me get the confidence to go to any class. I probably would have been fine without it but it was helpful for me at the time to overcome my fear. The instructors are helpful, accommodating and zen. The studio has a welcoming vibe like no other. It makes you feel like part of the family from the moment you step in. Everyone, from the teachers to the students, is so sweet, down to earth and real. I'm so grateful that I found 305 yoga.  At first I was grateful it was close to my home (305 Biscayne Blvd) and super affordable. As I started going to class I knew I'd found a very special place, the teachers are amazing and all have something different to offer. I've been recovering from recurrent lower back issues and my teachers help me to safely modify poses.. I moved my practice to 305 Miami Lakes, a beautiful studio with an amazing yoga community "The Lakers", warm people and a magical space to explore the multifaceted practice of yoga. The instructors are so dedicated to their practice and students, and the community is warm, inclusive, and diverse. I have learned so much about myself, body, breathing and yoga because of 305. I've tried many other studios and nothing compares to the classes and instructors at 305. The classes really teach you how to use your body and breath to strengthen the mind body connection, and the instructors are always willing to guide you on a more personal level. I also love 305's commitment to social justice, taking their Connection Coalition training was a life changing experience, as was participating in their volunteer programs. This is probably my favorite yoga studio from all others I've tried. The 305 yoga gangsters (as the like to call themselves) offer a very family like atmosphere. The instructors are super friendly and accommodate all classes to different levels of yoga (beginners, practitioners and advance ) to make sure everyone gets the most out of the class. 305 Yoga is a new studio to the Miami Lakes area, It has an energy that keeps you coming back. I have never stuck to any form of exercise in my life and I have been faithfuly practicing since January at least 4 times per week and can't see myself without my daily yoga high. The teachers are amazing very patient and caring and for me that was so important since I'm a beginner. And if you are advance they to take you that extra step. I absolutely love the view of the trees and the entrance of the lake. I love, love, love, this studio and highly recommend it to anyone looking to practice yoga in the lakes area.
