Sent my sister here with her VW Jetta since its local. I bought the synthetic oil and filter for her but did not have time to get it done before her drive back to Florida. My sister has Florida plates on her car and went with my mom to ask for an oil change and quoted her $115 even though they were providing supplies. My mom said "that's crazy that it's never cost more than $20 with oil supplies." Best lube joint ever. They're super nice and always get the job done. My only complaint is sometimes you have like an hour wait - but what do you expect. If they expand their business to accommodate more than 2 cars, it'll lose it's charm and personal service. Ignore Manuel below. The oil is actually packaged in quarts just like they would be if you bought them yourself at autozone. They are stocked right in the customer waiting area, so they let you know it's not recycled oil. They could get 55gal drums of oil it for a fraction of the cost of what they're paying for the individual quarts, but they take that financial hit to prove to you it isn't recycled. And even if it WAS recycled oil, it wouldn't burn out an engine...you said it was LACK OF OIL, what does that have to do w/ whether or not it's recycled. Additionally, if a blown motor TOTAL your car, your car was a POS in the first place. Be a man - check your oil. And Azhea - it's because you had synthetic oil in your car I bet. You can't just change that and replace it with conventional motor oil - it costs more... People need to stop ruining locally owned (AND AMERICAN OWNED) businesses due to being ignorant of the fact. That's so dumb. I go here any time I need an oil change in any of my vehicles. They've never ever let me down. PS) Yea, you can find cheaper places - but you get what you pay for. Their "Lube Service" is more than oil - they check all your fluids, typically top them off free-of-charge, fill your tires, and even grease your wheel bearings and hubs. No one does that nowadays. Update: All these people blaming a lube joint for engine failure is dumb. It doesn't work like that. No oil in the engine? That means it leaked out. Sand on the filter? you probably drove your car through sand and bottom out and ripped the filter off or some dumb crap. Don't blame the oil joint - a joint like this doesn't ever forget to put oil in a car...i assure it. Engines blow for a number of other reasons - and if you went 10,000 miles without an oil change, then had lightning lube change it, it isn't their fault at all. read more

Welllllllllllllllll!!!!!! I have been a loyal and dedicated customer for over 5!!!! years!!!!! i TOTALED my car a lil over a month ago due to my ENGINE needing to be replaced due to LACK OF OIL CHANGES(surpriseing to me) and a bill of $3,000 from non dealer and $7,000 dealer. If utter death were legal upon thought, this place would not exist!!!!!! I was recommended Lightning Lube through my brother which i called when i found out i needed to have my engine replaced and the great guy he is said "OOhhhh they have been shorting you oil/recycleing there oil with you " now I have a 4hour commute daily to and from work I commend you lighting lube on your outstanding service and LACK there of service. I just had my oil changed a couple of days ago. When I walked in the bays were full and the waiting room chairs were all taken . A couple of us waited outside. At one point I realized everyone there were return customers. Rich who was taking care of everyone evidently knew everyone. If not he treated them like family. Yes there was a little wait and yes it was a little warm outside to say the least. A shot note here. My husband and his family have been getting their oil changed there for years....they are always nice, they are quick and friendly and I completely trust them with my car! P.S. We've taken our car to Lightening Lube since we bought it (with 11 miles on it) and we just passed over 61,000. The man who owns the business (and is seemingly ALWAYS working) even remembers us when we come in. I was looking in the neighborhood for a good locally-owned place for oil changes and consulted yelp for help. Luckily I came across Lightning Lube. I arrived and was immediately greeted upon walking in the door. The owner asked if I would be able to wait, as there was one car ahead of me. I happily agreed and was out the door in 30 minutes. Upon checking out, he offered me their punch card, which gets you a $13 oil change after 5 visits. They even asked me what direction I wanted my car to be facing when it was pulled out of the bay! How courteous! I will definitely return, as I am not a fan of the big-box stores, which inevitably try to convince you that your air filter needs to be changed or you need some type of flushing service. These guys are the best! They are honest, incredibly knowledgeable, salt-of-the-earth guys. They're great at what they do and will point out issues they see without trying to scam you because they only do oil changes. My husband has been coming here for years before I met him (in 2001) and we've both been bringing our cars here ever since. I have a limited edition mustang that I only used to take to the dealer for anything.... First time I brought it here, they showed me the damage the dealer had done by putting it up on the lift wrong :-/ one of the many reasons they have a track that lifts the entire car, not just by the frame. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon for an oil change. 2 customers ahead of me and was told about 25-30 minute wait, which is understandable. Time was accurate and the service was beyond expected. Some had thought it strange that I mentioned Lightening Lube on my Blog when I discovered them about 2 years ago, so putting it on Yelp shouldn't be so weird, right? I love how this place is so convenient. It boasts the 10 minute oil change altho they could be busy some days, I try to stop in when I don't see too many cars outside. These guys exert such professionalism in their service. Very courteous. You can't beat how they send you a postcard/coupon reminder for your next oil change--if you prefer. And their stamp card for discounted oil change after several visits is a neat treat. There's no place where you can go for an oil change with more pleasant, stress-free service. I was reminded of this recently when I had my scheduled 3-month oil change. Remember, people--every 3 months or 3,000 miles. I feel really bad for Manuel W., who wrote a bad review, but maybe there was an underlying defect on his engine that Lighting Lube had no control over. Sorry guy. read more

just wanted to give you an update on the car. Lightning Lube's insurance company took responsibility for the faulty oil change and wrote us a check for a brand new engine! But I have learned a lesson....never take your car to any of those quick oil changes. From now on, I only go to a certified mechanic or the car dealer. read more

These guys do a great job, are priced on the high side, but ok with me. However, the wait is excruciating!!!!! The sign on the door needs to change to 40 minute oil change. Love this place! It is now 11:45 AM on a Tuesday morning and as I text, my vehicle is the only one in here getting my oil changed. Sometimes it's a matter of going by and seeing how many cars are parked here waiting but quite honestly I have never had to wait long. Of course I try not to go when people are getting out in the evening because naturally you will have more people heading to take care of these things after work. However, they are quick to get the job done, suggest things that you might need but do not push anything on you. For example the fluids are low, they will offer but will not push anything, they just want to let you know that it is something you need to have done. The guys here are always so super nice :-) love them here through the years! Also they have a stamp card after every oil change you get it stamped and after five stamps on your card you get the next for $13.95. Always love a deal like that! And now I am watching one of the young men checking tire pressure and filling a couple of the tires on my vehicle, you can't beat that kind of attention to detail!
