I remember going to Ligori's when it was on Hill Field road in Layton and the food was pretty good. So we tried this place. The first clue it wasn't going to be great was the first thing out of the waitress' mouth: " I'm tired and ready to go home but I still have two hours left to be here". When we got our drinks, one of the lids had something on it, and one of the cups had a large piece of lettuce stick to the side of it. We laughed it off as a "side salad". Then it got worse. The meatballs in the stuffed pepper appetizer were extremely overdone, so much so that we couldn't even eat it. Fortunately they didn't make us pay for it and gave us a coupon to come back and try them again for free. Our table also ordered the cheese bread which was really good. The Philly Sandwich wasn't anything special. The BBQ chicken pizza had good chicken, but that was it. No onions, cilantro, or anything else that would add flavor. The chef salad only had ham, cheese, olives and pepperoni. Usually chef salads also come with eggs, tomatoes and croutons, so this was disappointing. It was overloaded with olives, both black and green. So it basically tasted like pepperoni and green olives on lettuce. I was going to give one star, but added one because we didn't have to pay for the inedible appetizer, so at least there's some customer service. read more

Stopped by this place on the way to a class in Ogden. My wife and I were originally going to the Arby's that is very close to this, but then we saw the classic look of a fantastic Italian restaurant in the distance. I ordered spaghetti and my wife ordered pizza. The spaghetti was fine, though a little watery, sauce was pretty good. Pizza and breadsticks were really good. I also saw a meatball sandwich being delivered and regretted getting my spaghetti. Next time I am in the area I will definitely get the meatball sub. read more

This is probably the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Went with the wife hoping to try something new and exciting. We were thoroughly disappointed. The sauce was just store bought, the salad was rotten, the tortellini was frozen and store bought. Probably the only highlight was the bread. It should be illegal to serve microwaved pasta. Chef Ramsey would have fun changing this menu. Stay home and cook to not only get better quality, but also save a ton of money. $12ish for a $3 meal? Cmon now. Ordered out for Valentine's day...We ordered the taste of Italy items. Sauce for the pasta is nothing to scream at. Meatballs in the Spaghetti tasted like the meatballs from Costco. Lasagna was just stacked pasta noodles and only meat on the bottom layer. Ravioli was ok. Pizza wasn't too bad, but nothing to get all excited over. We ordered the pepperoni. We had two side salads that consisted of nothing but lettuce. no other toppings. just lettuce and salad dressing. That is not even a freaking salad. That is just lettuce. Sad. I can honestly say, that I will not eat here and If i am asked if i like the place, I will heartily say "no," stay away from this joint. Why it is getting rave reviews is beyond me. read more

Had a very nice that expensive lunch today at ligori's. A nice little salad with their house Italian. A half of a meatball sub the head very nice melted cheese and good meatballs. Their pasta sauce is very simple but good. Two of us got out of there for $15 for lunch. Nice job ligori's read more

This is the kind of place where you take kids to fill them up. The food here is safe, bland, boring, uninspired, institutionalized and if you're foolish enough to stray from the pizza, somewhat insipid. So what's the one thing, other than the extremes with crust, whereby pizzas live and die? If you said toppings, take yourself out back and knock yourself around until you have some sense slapped into you. It's the sauce. Toppings obviously help, as does at least a decent crust, but if you ruin the sauce (oh HAI, Red Robin), you wreck the pizza. Here the sauce is pretty pedestrian and the toppings are nothing special, so you wind up with a very average pizza, with nothing either particularly bad or good about it. As I said, it's a safe choice; you could do better but could also do much worse, particularly in Ogden, which is still catching up, food-wise, as a city, recent strides notwithstanding. The homey Americana kitsch inside is a bit puzzling, but kind of comforting, I suppose and it was nice to see Diet Mt. Dew on tap. Let's just be generous and call it an option, but be wary of straying from the pizzas...word to the wise. read more

Ted Ligori is awesome. He makes this place as incredible as everyone says it is. I love their food and service. Always top notch

This place is close in my Mom's Neighborhood and so she likes to choose going to it. My meals here have been "Unremarkable", common basic and nothing to really praise (think of it like simplistic home dry pasta w canned Ragu or Prego, poured on etc). Its not "plain awful", just "awful plain", and not exceptional or anything to get you excited to be there or to be excited for your next opportunity to come back. You'll find out when you go with your elderly mom, but don't let that stop you, just lower your expectations and it'll be ok. read more

They have really good home style pizza and spaghetti here. The best part though quite frankly is their salads. This was my grandpas Favorite restaurant. It is good but if you can go to Tony's pizza. It is even better and the same price with a better atmosphere. You also get dessert for free at Tony's if you order a combo. read more

We like this Place. New location is hard to find but when you do it's usually worth it. Pizza is always good there. Sandwiches are hit and miss. The Pastrami sandwich is great the Philly Steak and Cheese is just fare. Salads are the bomb! read more

I haven't had a Ligoris Pizza, or any other menu item in about 20 years, but let me tell you why I'm writing this review. I was having a dream about the good old day, when I could swing over to Ted's place that was the name of the owner, and have a pizza, or a hot sausage sub, maybe even a salad. Man then pizza there was great, and Ted Ligori would come out of the kitchen and visit with you. It wads a fantastic place, so fantastic 20 years and some change later I'm waking up out of a dream, wishing I had a Ligoris Pizza. read more

I love ligori's pizza. My brother went to school with the owner and we have fun talking to him when we go there. I think he use to be affiliated with Tony's pizza a long time ago and that is where we use to hang out to eat pizza a long time ago. I love all the cheese they put on the pizza. I am full Italian, first generation, and I love Ligori's. The food is great, the help is very friendly, it is clean. I took out of state friends, and they said the sausage sandwich was the best he had ever had, and she loved the pizza. I want to go there every week... fantastic read more

While their pizza and pasta may leave something lacking - their pastrami sandwich can't be beat. This is a must have that I got back for time and again. All of their sandwiches are pretty good but the pastrami is the best - give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

My daughter did a fundraiser (she had done so for the past several years). She sold over 80 pizzas. When I left I pulled over into a parking lot to sort the pizza a little better than I had when I loaded them. I was missing some pizzas. I called and asked if they had accidentally been left behind, I was told no. I went home instead of off to deliver pizzas because I needed a large place to be able to sort, turns out I was missing 5 pizzas. I called and was told that they had to be there or maybe I forgot to turn in the slips for the missing pizzas, I stated that they had all been turned in. I was then told that they would make the missing pizzas for me. I started calling the people so I could figure out what had been ordered. When I called back I was told the missing pizzas had been found. I was not given an apology, I was not offered anything in return for the inconvenience, I was given an explanation of how the pizzas were misplaced. I live 25 minutes away from Ligoris. I had to finish delivering the pizzas I had and then go back up there to pick up the missing pizzas and then go deliver them. When I got there again not apologized to or offered any sort of compensation just given my pizzas and that was it. I know this was not done on purpose but this error cost me 2 extra hours of driving and delivery time and I had a few people who did not receive their pizzas by dinner. I have eaten here since I was a little girl and we love the food but the customer service lacks greatly!!! read more
