Came here a little after 11 am yesterday when they were supposed to be open and was told to come back at 12 instead. Came back today instead around 11:35 and they were open thankfully. I asked for the Simone special sandwich that was on previous menus I'd seen online, but not their current one. He informed me it would be 7.50€ which was more expensive than a similar sandwich I saw on their menu now. In hindsight, I should've just ordered the one on their menu because it was basically the same thing, just 0.50€ cheaper. Also I noticed the onions were missing in my sandwich. Anyway, super steep price for what it was. It had porchetta, red peppers, eggplant, lettuce, and I assume their likeat special sauce. It was good, and filling, but it wasn't amazing. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Their service was amazing though. He was very friendly, I assumed he was one of the owners because the sandwich was named after him. He checked in with me on the ingredients to make sure I wanted them in my sandwich. Pleasant experience, but the food, and for the price, wasn't more than average. read more

This sandwich shop is great. For those of us looking for a tasty sandwich for a great price, this is your place! The menu is in both italian and English, so you don't end up with a meal you didn't expect and hate (i.e. my experience in florence). The man working behind the counter was very friendly and didn't mind answering our questions and also offered to make us something unique if we wanted. My husband got the #1 with porcetta, very crisp and delicious. I believe my sandwich was called the lorenzo; pesto, buff mozz, sundried tomato and pancetta. Both sandwiches were great. I took a star off simply because the shop is tiny and it's difficult to eat comfortably if their is anyone else in the store. Likeat is a great sandwich shop and I love coming here for more unique options like crispy chicken, cod, and smoked salmon. Despite its deliciousness, it's NOT what you would think of when you envision traditional Italian panini. If you're coming from out of town, just be aware of this, as you won't find those classic salami and prosciutto sandwiches here - for that you would be much better served trying out a little hole in the wall shop somewhere along the street. But that is not to say you shouldn't come here! I love coming here, particularly when I need a break from the same old deli meats, and I've never had something that wasn't completely delicious. The crispy chicken is a standout to me, whether you get it as a sandwich or a salad. I've had it as both and the chicken is so soft and flavorful while the crunch is just perfect, with a delicious saltiness to it. I was craving a sandwich or something similar so bad, so I yelped "Panini" and luckily this place showed up right away. We walked like 80 metres and arrived. Likeat offers plenty of Sandwiches with amazing ingredients, such as roast pork. Still I went for a salmon sandwich with some new sauces and salad that were not on the menu yet, but they wanted to see whether guests like it :) Very fresh and tasty! The bread was a little too thick for me though, it would have been nice to have a choice of different kinds of bread. The chef did speak english quite well and recommended us several kinds of sandwiches based on what we prefer. He was super fun to talk to, gave us a few Roman insights and told us how he started his business. All in all it was a nice stay in a small but modern air conditioned (!) place - which was great since I almost couldn't breathe outside :D I'd definitely come back if I had the chance. read more

Our trip was June 2015. We made this place a must visit based on Tripadvisor review. Let me tell you that we were not disappointed one bit. As a matter of fact, we came and ate here twice during our visit to Rome. Getting to Likeats is not very difficult. I will give you directions from Castel Sant Angelo which is easier. Once you exit and cross over the bridge away from the Castel, make a right. The very next street/bridge is Corso Vittorio Emanuele II where you will make a left. . Travel perhaps 100-150 feet and Likeats will be on your right hand side. It is directly next to a coffee bar. You cant miss it. Both gentlemen/owners were very kind and welcomed us. They wanted to know where we were from and we told them. We ordered and one owner came to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The second time we came in we had two different sandwiches and shared a bottle of beer. Both visits cost us approximately $10 - $12 Euros per visit. The place is a bit small and most people take their food out. We ate inside both times. There is no extra fee to sit at the tables. When I asked if there was a fee, he just smiled and said that they don't charge here. Of course we asked for picture and had to write our names on their board. We really felt as if we were meeting celebrities. Great place, great food, amazing customer service. This is a MUST VISIT place when in Rome. TIPS One sandwich is very filling and will hit the spot. I fell in love with sandwiches after eating at All'Antico Vinaio in Florence for five consecutive days, so I had high hopes Likeat could sustain my sandwich crave during my time in Rome. Well, I was wrong. For about the same price, 5 euros, you get half the sandwich size, less toppings, spreads, and overall, just more limited options at Likeat compared to All'Antico. Don't get me wrong, a sandwich will fill you up, and they're tasty sandwiches, but I've had better. By better, I don't mean marginally better; if you consider quality, portion, experience, and value, Likeat doesn't stand a chance against All'Antico. The workers were very helpful and friendly, and English was not a problem at all! If you do decide to dine in, all the seating is bar styled so you'll be on a stool facing either the window or a wall. Speaking for Rome, I think this is a great place for a filling, affordable meal. We were trying to escape the tourist trap restaurants around the Vatican, and we extremely luckily found this fantastic sandwich shop. Their speciality is a sandwich with roast pork (from a whole roasted pig, which they wrap up into this amazing pork meat log and then slice off little pieces). They gave us free samples of the pork, which was very good. My wife ordered a sandwich with pesto, artichokes, tomato, and mozzarella. I had proscuitto with sheep's cheese and mushrooms. Both were very delicious. They also gave us free crostini they made with mushrooms, really yummy cooked spinach, and cheese. On top of the sandwich awesomeness, they also have a number of great beers, including Westmalle; I had a Paulaner hefeweizen. Strongly recommend! read more

I promised Corinne as she made my sandwich that I'd write her a Yelp review.... so here you go... I love you Likeat! Stopped in on a Sunday late morning on our way to see Papa Francesco at St. Peter's Square for the incredible porcehtta sandwiches, made fresh for us by Corinne from porchetta that her family has been making for a hundred years. It's at the end of the Corso Vittorio Emanuelle and open at 10 am and stays open very late on weekend nights - we asked how late and she said "Until we're done." Good to know! Loved it. I enjoy finding small places like this and taking the recommendation of the chef. Had a pork roast with rosemary and peppers, sundries on some local bread was fantastic. Okay so we found this sandwich shop by searching on yelp for highly rated food near our AirBNB. But once we walked in, oh man, I am so glad we did. My husband and I were instantly greeted as if we were locals that the owner hadn't seen in a long time. Maybe even as if we were old friends. He helped us decide what to try. And man was he spot on. The sandwiches were amazing!!! Honestly probably one of the best things we had on our trip. Amazingly fresh, and just really delicious. And to top it off, everything on the menu was super affordable. Especially considering that if you pay a tiny bit more, you get a basket full of fresh hot French fries. So good! The waitress, I believe only spoke Italian, but that didn't hold her back in also showing us her hospitality. She was warm and welcoming just as well as the owner.
