The cash only sign is located above the small black sign.

Dined in with Pasquale. The food was fine if you just want a quick bite to eat, but it was nothing spectacular. The ambiance was chaotic. As soon as people walk in he is shouting at them what to eat, what do they want. While this was all tolerated, the reason for the 1 star review is because when we went to pay, he said cash only and the machine was broken. He did not state this at anytime during our visit until it was time to pay. He then proceeded to point to a "sign" that was written in pen on a white sheet of paper, above most people's eye level stating "cash only". He then pointed to an atm directly across the street for us to go withdraw money. I understand cash only, but this felt a bit schemey. A lot of places don't like the transaction fees that come with using a card, and I think this was the scam we were being sold. He knew we would've walked if he had told us no card from the beginning. This all could've been avoided if there was a proper sign stating "cash only".

We were looking for a quick bite after visiting the Vatican. Small place but big on taste! We had 3 pizzas, carbonara and a lasagna. Everyone liked what they had. The lasagna was absolutely delicious. Wish I had taken a pic of the pasta but we did in too quickly. Very friendly owner.

The man behind the counter was super funny and friendly. Limited options for food- but what was offered was great. I got the margarita pizza and it was ready quickly, which was perfect because my friends and I were in a rush. Not a lot of space inside, but overall a good meal!

Very small, very friendly, amazing food. The owner welcomed me in and offered me a free sample of a pizza that was fresh from the oven. By and far the best pizza I've had in Roma. We ate at a fancy restaurant last night that doesn't hold a flame to this little hole in the wall. Perfect amount of crunch, bursting with flavor! I wanted to keep eating after I was full. He made a wine suggestion that was a perfect compliment to the four cheese pizza. It was so good I ordered 3 more pizzas for carry out. Of all the memories I've made on this trip, sitting here enjoying every single bite of this pizza while enjoying some laughs with the owner as he made me feel at home- I will hold in my heart forever.

Simply the best pizza & sandwiches you will find in Rome!!! I recommend the Pork Sandwich and Pizza Margherita. We have visited Rome three times in the last six years and always make sure we eat at Pizza & Sandwich da Pasquale.

Perfect spot when looking for a quick and inexpensive bite before or after visiting the Vatican. The owner was amazing and the food was just as delicious! Pizza and drink was €6. Specialty pizza and beer was €9. Best pizza I've had so far in Rome.

Amazing pizza! Friendly atmosphere! My husband and I stopped in to check them out. They did not disappoint. Very friendly, spoke good English. Offered samples. Pizza was amazing! Would recommend them to anyone in the area. The prices were reasonable. Definitely worth going and trying!

As soon as we sat down, the waitress asked us what we wanted and she came back three times in the span of five minutes so I definitely wish I had more time to breathe and look at the really large menu. I got the vegan sandwich and it actually blew my mind that it was vegan. The cuts of meat were so realistic and the vegan Parm also tasted so close to the original. Altogether, if you had just gave me the sandwich and I was eating it I wouldn't have even questioned that it was vegan. The sandwiches here are so delicious, I would definitely come back.

Really nice bread, plenty of rocket, good vegan cheese and salami, grilled zucchini, and artichoke cream to top it off. Really satisfying and fulfilling sandwich. Located a block or two from the Vatican and open late (3am), what's there not to love about this place? Highly recommended.

When I arrived there was no line, so maybe I got lucky, just one couple in front of me already inside the shop. Take a number and wait your turn. It's worth it. Sandwiches are made on pizza bianca, a crisp and chewy flatbread native to Rome. They will fill your sandwich with whatever you like, and then weigh the sandwich to price it out. I got mortadella, stracciatella, pesto and sun-dried tomatoes. The sandwich was phenomenal, so delicious and memorable that I recreated it when I got home to the US, bread and all. The sandwiches may seem simple but the ingredients are the best around which really takes things to the next level. Don't miss it if you're in Rome.

We got the Bobby flay (porcheta, stracciatella, pesto) with sun-dried tomatoes and a mortadella sandwich with stracciatella cheese and pesto spread. Both were good sandwiches, but I felt like the meat and cheese to bread ratio is off. One sandwich had too much filling while the other had too little. That said, both sandwiches were tasty.. and after waiting an hour, I had high hopes but unfortunately it just didn't wow me. Service was excellent though.

The bread, the flavors, the fresh ingredients, and the whole experience made this more than just lunch -- it was a taste of Italian food culture. Fun fact: All'Antico Vinaio started as a small family business in Florence in 1989 and became famous for its traditional Tuscan schiacciata sandwiches. Over time, it grew into an internationally recognized brand, with locations including Rome. What I loved most was being able to experience something that began as a local Italian tradition and has now become a place people travel to try. Another delicious memory added to our Rome adventure.
