Really wish I could say something positive but after the horrible customer service from the actual employees that come to "clean" your apartment, its hard to even give a 1 star rating. Firstly, Gio and Tyrone arrived 30 mins late due to train problems, which is completely understandable being in NYC, and because I was experiencing a delay with the trains that day myself. But to give me an attitude because you had to wait in the hall AFTER i was understanding that you two were late is ridiculous. Then, after apologizing for the wait, they got into my apartment and go "ohhhhh, this is a move in, not a deep cleaning, thats different." I didn't understand what the difference was, but upon realizing a few of my belongings were stolen, im sure that was why that comment was made. I reached out to the owner Isaac and he said there was no difference in price. MY APARTMENT WAS NOT CLEANED WHAT SO EVER. Please refer to the pictures to see exactly what I am talking about. Floors left unswept, a mopped was passed but there was literally things all over the floors. Bathroom was completely dirty, my blinds "within reach" were not dusted one bit, my stove was left dirty as well and a piece of my kitchen sink was broken. None of the kitchen cabinets were cleaned and I know this is a fact, because the previous tenant left old food in them and when I came back it was still there. NEW POTS AND PANS along with DISHES were STOLEN. When i reached out to Isaac regarding this, he said they could have been lost in the move. Mind you, these were both NEW and brought straight to the apartment after being purchased. Oh, and the bet part is, being rushed to come back to the apartment because they wanted to leave after an hour an a half of cleaning. They sent me out so they could "clean" and I come back to hear Tyrone talking shit about having to stay late amongst other things in regards to the job and Gio complaining about the tip being left on a card and not cash. I would personally never use this company again and please beware if you decide to. At least stay in your apartment and don't leave as the owner and cleaners suggest, because you may end up with things stolen as well! read more

I had been searching for a cleaning company to do a top to bottom clean on our house as we are preparing for our baby to arrive. I found Shinetek through Yelp. I was interested in getting one room of my house deep cleaned as my roommate was coming home after a lung transplant. The room being very thoroughly cleaned and done with products that would not leave a scent or residue was very important to me. Isaac responded to my inquiry within 12 hours, and was very attentive in listening to what I needed. We set up the appointment for a couple of days later and I was satisfied. I had Tyrone for the cleaning, and he did a FANTASTIC job! He cleaned every surface, moved furniture around to clean around and under it, even wiped the walls, ceiling, windows...everything was spotless. My "deep cleaning" scheduled on Wednesday April 6th was anything but that. The owner was nice enough to schedule a redo for Sunday the 10th but being that cleaning lady was on her 3rd hour of redoing this "deep clean" I never got to begin with she couldn't finish the way I would have liked her to since she had to leave for her next job. I didn't appreciate the owner reaching out to question why his employee was taking so long. It's obvious if she was taking long because the first job was in fact NOT a deep clean. She was not touching anything new. She was REDOING all the work that was NOT done the first time around. When I suggested if more time was needed during my original "deep cleaning" the answer was NO. Meanwhile my apt was not deep cleaned at all. I was weary about a cleaning service to begin with. This was a waste of money and time. My kitchen on the second round was "deep cleaned" yes but I am left not fully satisfied with my bathroom since again the cleaning lady had spent 3hours redoing the kitchen and had to rush the bathroom to go to her next appointment. Not her fault since she did her best to clean up her coworker lack of deep cleaning. It's sucks for me because instead of me working on my move I have to spent my Sunday afternoon disinfecting my standing shower. Will I use this service again? NEVER and I wouldn't recommend them either. BAD choice of pick on my part. I could have done this all myself last Wednesday and saved the money and aggravation. read more

I have never used a cleaning service before, so I don't have anything to compare to, but I was very happy with the service that Isaac of Shinetek Cleaning Co. provided. Being the introverted and anxious person that I am, I was honestly a bit nervous about having a stranger come in to my dirty home, but I shouldn't have worried. Isaac was very friendly and professional which put me at ease right away. He is a very hard worker and very thorough. You could tell he takes pride in his work and wanted to make sure we were happy with the job. He even stayed on a bit longer than he had estimated to make sure the rooms were cleaned to his and our standards. The price seemed extremely reasonable, and he brought his own HEPA vac and pet-friendly cleaning supplies. He was very good with our cat (though she spend most of time hiding), which was also a big plus. Isaac was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to my initial questions and also later with scheduling. I used Shinetek last week and they were just okay. They usually give you a 4 hour slot if one cleaner comes but if it's 2, they reduce the time to 2 hours, which makes sense. But if you're looking for deep thorough cleaning, including nooks and crannies and waaaay under your couch, it's not gonna happen. Even with two people the 2 hours wasn't enough. They actually stayed for another half an hour which I really appreciated. I had Gio and Tyrone. I really liked Gio. She was really friendly and attentive to our needs. Gio cleaned the rest of my apartment while Tyrone spent the entire time in my kitchen. We weren't very happy with Tyrone because his job was pretty "half-assed". The kitchen looked clean, but when we touched the surfaces, there were a lot of oily residue which I assume was from the cleaning product he used. The ends on our microwave, fridge and dishwasher handles were extremely oily and we had wipe them down again after they left. He said he cleaned our cupboards, which I appreciated, but everything was just chucked back inside and I had to reorganize everything. The biggest problem I had were the scratches he made on the stainless steel parts of our oven and microwave. When asked about it, he said that he didn't use any non abrasive material. But I found that my steel wool was at a different place and looked much cleaner and used.. hmmm... if he didn't do it, did the scratches coincidently appear by themselves while he was cleaning? I guess nowadays, anything can happen... I spoke to Isaac about it, who by the way was great with communicating. He said that Tyrone didn't use any material that could cause those scratches because the company doesn't provide abrasive material. He even offered to have Gio and Tyrone come back to look into the matter. Honestly, I wouldn't want Tyrone in my apartment again. I would highly recommend Gio, but based on my experience, not Tyrone. Geo is a cleaning whiz! We have a 2 week old newborn and have not been able to properly deep clean the house since I got pregnant! With a new baby in a bouncy seat on the floors of the apt, it was imperative that we get the house professionally cleaned. Geo took 5 hours to clean a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. The kitchen and bathroom are immaculate! I almost don't want to use them. We didn't empty the fridge, so she didn't clean it. But that was ok. I've hired him to come in once a week- and at first I had to keep rescheduling due to my busy schedule. Isaac was always so understanding despite the short notice. Highly disappointed! My friend scheduled a cleaning for me as a gift. The day before Isaac notified my friend that another cleaner instead of Gio would come since she was sick. That was fine by us and not a problem. However on the scheduled day, the cleaner was supposed to arrive ar 10am. It was 10:45 and still no one showed. I then called the company.
