10/18/2017 I did not have a good experience with Lile Moving and Storage. We hired the Kent, WA location to move our office furniture to a new building. We accepted the standard insurance Lile offers. They damaged a lot of our desks, and dinged doors, door jambs, and walls. Several Lile employees saw me watching them as the damage occurred. We filed a claim for the damage, but Lile has so far refused to reimburse us for the damage. I wouldn't recommend them. Update: Hello Lori, I read your response to my Review and it is incorrect. A) You state that you contacted me and found the details are not fair or accurate. Please cite the inaccuracies? I've faithfully documented each correspondence with your company and can support every claim I've made. B) You state, "Furthermore, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) reviewed the customer complaint and found in our favor". Here's the exact quote from the BBB: "Answered - the business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the customer is dissatisfied". The only interpretation of this that could be seen as "in our favor", is that you have not reimbursed me for any of the thousands of dollars in damages as a result of the move that were insured through Lile Moving and Storage. The move manager took this picture with his camera and sent it to Lile's Insurance Coordinator. I have an email telling me Lile would send someone over to fix things. We contracted North American Van Lines (the other name Lile does business under) for our family's third cross-country move. They seemed great at first, our sales rep was a great communicator and made us feel very comfortable with our decision to hire them. However, things started to go downhill once the move was actually in progress. The movers left quite a bit of trash in our house after loading up the truck, which was annoying, but we cleaned up after them. But when our truck got to the final destination, on day 2 of the 6 day delivery window we were given, we were never updated on when it would be delivered. After contacting customer service ourselves, we found out that the local company responsible for delivering our items didn't have any deliveries available for a week past our delivery window. It took 4 days, multiple calls and emails that did not receive responses, before we were finally able to speak to someone at the local delivery company, who said they "understand an early delivery would be preferable, however it is just not possible". And by "early" they mean after our contracted delivery window. Despite positive reviews and recommendations I found when researching, it appears North American Van Lines is simply the name a lot of smaller delivery companies do business as and they do not actually handle your entire move. Our contact in our state of origin was from a different company and has nothing to do with the moving company in our destination city. The communication is absolutely terrible/non-existent, customer service is completely useless and just gives you the run around to people who won't respond. As of this review, we are on the last day of our original delivery window and aren't expected to receive it for another week. We don't know where our items are, how they are being stored, if they're being compromised in a hot truck for several weeks, or when we will for sure receive them. Oh, and the delayed delivery compensation for a $25k move is $100/day after the delivery window. Which isn't even close to reasonable for not having any of your life's belongings and the incredible amount of stress and frustration caused by this company's lack of professionalism and competency. read more

I had Lile move a fair amount of items from both my apartment in Everett and my storage unit in Everett, to my new condo in Bremerton. I could not be happier with the move. The estimator/sales person (Mike) was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and available when I needed him, and wrote a good assessment of what needed to be done and a thorough estimate of the costs involved. The packing went smoothly (day one); the loading went smoothly (day two); and the delivery/unloading and set-up at the condo (day three) went great as well. The loading and delivery/unloading both involved some challenges but were easily worked through by the expert crew. All the workers were very polite, experienced, concerned over not doing any damage to my items or the apartment or condo, and deferential to my needs, but the two young men who were on the scene all three days - Dustin and Alex - rock! I have a fair amount of art items and all were handled professionally and arrived at the new destination unharmed. To top everything off, I was notified shortly following the move that Lile used less packing materials than estimated and that the weight came out shorter than the estimate, so I was going to be billed for less than the estimate - in this case about 25% less. What a pleasant surprise and what an honest, customer-oriented company. I would not hesitate to use them again, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a mover. He made sure everything was officially scheduled and explained what to expect, which made the process feel smooth and well-managed. Natalie, the move coordinator, was equally wonderful. Moving is an emotional experience and you want it done right. Lile Moving, North American Van Lines, and Allies VAn Lines all participated in my move across the country. I was very impressed with David and Natalie who managed my estimate (in person) and move at Lile. David Akin my mover and driver did a great job coordinating the actual move into the truck and then delivery.The packers of our glass items and art did a wonderful job. Everyone was upfront, honest, professional, respectful, and took care of fragile items very well. Nothing valuable was broken or damaged. Nothing was lost. Overall, we were pleased with Lile North American's moving us from Seattle to Portland. The Seattle crew were on time, careful, cheerful, and finished as scheduled. Our only complaint was Lile's re-scheduling delivery to the day following loading. We had to rework our travel and accommodation plans, as a result. In Portland, the delivery driver called several times with different delivery times. In fairness, I think he was waiting on his crew to show up. So, delivery was a few hours late. Everything was unloaded in timely fashion, but three boxes were missing, according to their inventory--not mine. The crew was pleasant, but disorganized. read more

David Pendergraft was so honest and up front with my foreign exchange student when she had to ship her household items across the pond. He explained everything about how cost works and customs. He made sure he was in contact with her from the beginning until the end. She was so impressed as that would never have been the case with other companies. On a personal level David is one of the kindest most caring people. He takes pride in what he does. I admire his honesty and ability to work with people even under sometime difficult circumstance. Lile Moving, contracted by North American, did a great job packing our belongings and moving them from Seattle to northern Indiana. They split up our stuff into what we wanted in our apartment and what we wanted in a storage unit correctly and did not damage anything. They arrived to pack our stuff on the day we wanted, loaded it up on the following day and delivered it on the first day of a range of possible delivery days that they gave us. I recent sold my house and had Lile Moving and Storage move my items out. The selling of my home has been stressful and emotional to say the least.
