Wow - just "wow". I am so happy to have found Dr. Hernandez. From the time I walked in and met Lizette, to the time I left, after seeing Dr. Hernandez, I felt special. I'm very sensitive (ok I'm a big baby) when it comes to seeing the dentist. They have a way of making me feel less anxious - I knew I was in good hands from the start. Dr. Hernandez has far exceeded my expectations. Once, she even took personal time out of her weekend to meet me at her office for an issue that was frustrating me. I cracked a tooth over the holidays and went to see Dr. Hernandez for the first time since she was close by, and took my insurance. The office is small but very nice and clean, and she has the latest equipment including a CAT scan for your entire jaw and teeth. She and her assistant Liliana, are very professional and very friendly. I had to have the tooth pulled and I was very apprehensive about it because I had a tooth pulled 20 years ago and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to deal with it. Dr. Hernandez assured me that this time it would be different. Well I can now report that she pulled the tooth and I never even had to take an aspirin. I have been to many dentists over the years and this was by far my best experience. I can't recommend Dr Hernandez, Liliana and her staff enough. Just had a cleaning by Dr. Hernandez. Awesome! I don't like when dental offices "skimp" on the cleaning. Dr. Hernandez did an amazing job & she took her time & explained a few things to me as we looked over the x-rays. I've been going to another dentist for 25 years & he retired. I think I may have found our new family dentist! read more

The dental assistant Lisette is very pleasant and has made scheduling and my anxiety of going to the dentist a breeze. The Dentist Liliana Hernandez has a very gentle touch and has done great work! As someone who gets nervous and anxious about going to the dentist all of that seems to go away as soon as I sit in her chair and she comes in and starts to do her magic! Also very reasonably priced as most dentist insurance doesn't cover much. SO GLAD I come here and am looking forward to my next visit! read more

Dr. Hernandez & Lisette are very personable. I prefer dealing with less people in the office when I can. They have a very small practice & tend to book appointments close together, which doesn't seem to be a problem. We all have busy schedules, but we al have to wait sometimes. Sometimes they have emergencies. That doesn't bother me because if I have an emergency I know they will try to fit me in, and hopefully other clients will be understanding. read more

Booked an appointment for today at 2pm , ended up having to leave as I was still not seen by 2.35pm. I have a baby I have to get back to and haven't got all day to be left sitting in a dental chair . Don't make an appointment for two people at the same time and leave a patient sitting there waiting and then just told me I had to pay $50 co-pay on top of that when I didn't have to last time. I wouldn't have minded paying It if I was actually seen at my appointment time. Years of neglect left my teeth a wreck. It's not that I was a complete stranger to dental offices. I was constantly moving and it was only when there was pain that I bothered to schedule an office visit. A friend referred me to Dr. Hernandez about four years ago. To my relief, she didn't lecture me about everything I was doing wrong. She was remarkably patient and helped me prioritize what needed to be done. So a few fillings and crowns later, she has restored my smile. Contrary to another review, let me set the record straight: * I've never waited more than 15 minutes to see her. That's out of maybe half a dozen visits. * There have never been any surprises regarding costs. She's always worked within my insurance parameters. Her fees seem to be in line or lower to other dentists in the area. I tried one in Ft Lauderdale and another one in Boca and never went back there. * It's been easy to schedule visits including same day. * On one occasion, I was able to call her over the weekend and get a prescription right away. I would recommend Dr Hernandez and have complete confidence in her abilities. read more

Will never go back! The woman at the desk was very nice but dr Lilian j Hernandez was rude! She didn't introduce herself let alone look at me. I literally almost walked out in the middle of my cleaning. Her cleaning hurt and my mouth is in pulsing pain. She did say anything to me except "you have cavities and need to address that" and walked out. Wouldn't let my boyfriend in the room with me which is weird. They made him stay out and told him "wait here and don't let anyone in the office". I Do not suggest her!!!! read more

My company switched insurance so I needed to find a new dentist. I went to see Liliana Hernandez DDS at 1330 Se 4th Ave Ste K Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. Liliana and her assistant first checked my teeth before my cleaning. They told me I needed to have 3 fillings and a deep cleaning that would cost me a couple hundred dollars to do. I told them I would check my insurance benefits first then call back to schedule an appointment to have the fillings and cleaning done. I went right home and called my insurance with the invoice and the code numbers to the procedure. Come to find they were trying to charge me $20 more for each filling and the insurance would have covered my "deep cleaning" for free (which they were charging me for). So I switched dentist and had my appointment today. Come to find out I don't have any cavities and do not need 3 fillings or a deep cleaning!!!!!!! I'm not the type to write reviews but I cant let this office drill into peoples mouth for no reason. PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST OFFICE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!!!!!!!! read more

So happy that Dr. Hernandez's practice didn't take me back after 3 years of not going to her. I called in March because a crown fell out and I was overdue for a cleaning. I made the appt and the morning of the appt, I got a call saying I would have to pay out of pocket because they no longer accepted my insurance which is Aetna... WTH??? I called Aetna to find another dentist in the area and even the Aetna person was a little confused so she called Dr. Hernandez's office and was told they DO take Aetna, but since I have not been to Dr. Hernandez in the last 2 or 3 years, they assumed I found another dentist which I did not. Why lie to me on the phone and tell me they don't take Aetna anymore? Anyway, it was a blessing in disguise. I found a fabulous dentist in the area who takes Aetna, my cleanings and xrays are covered and the crown replacement was covered. Once when Dr. Hernandez was filling a cavity, she charged me an extra $10.00 because she had to drill deeper than expected....another WTH? To top the unprofessionalism off, I was sitting in the chair waiting to be seen and she walked in, took a look at me and said "Boy, you've gained some weight, haven't you"??? Who says that to someone....there is definitely a communication problem between the staff and the patients. If you don't speak Spanish, its a problem...No hygienist whatsoever.....no one answers the phone if they are with patients. Before she even starts treatment, she makes you sign a form saying how much you are responsible for and how much your insurance pays. Payment has to be made at time of visit..NO IF'S, AND's OR BUT'S about it....I found the best dentist in the area and his patients come first, and he doesn't insult you....He doesn't suggest a more expensive cleaning just to make more money.....he doesn't charge an extra $10.00 cause he has to drill deeper....he's a gem read more

Dr. Hernandez is friendly, smart and easy to talk to. She recently replaced an old silver filling and I had been warned by friends that it would be terribly unpleasant. In fact, I could hardly tell I was having work done and it came out beautiful. I have gotten very good advice from Dr. Hernandez regarding daily oral care and I am very happy to have found her and gotten my mouth back on a healthy track. This was the single worst dental experience that I have ever had and I didn't even receive a cleaning. My appointment for 8:30 did not even begin til 9 a.m., at which point I was told I needed to pay my $5 copay. I offered my debit card, which was refused due to a "cash only" policy. I was told I had to go get cash before my appointment could begin. After leaving to get cash, now, at 9:15 I was ushered into a room for my check up and cleaning. After x-rays reviewing my teeth, the doctor told me I had to have upwards of $1,200 in work done. Six months prior (at my previous dentist who I no longer can see due to an insurance change) I had absolutely no issues. Then the hygienist came in for my cleaning. She told me the dentist recommended a "deep cleaning," which was $110 out of pocket. I refused and she told me then she could not perform any cleaning. I was a bit confused as I was refusing the "deep cleaning" and simply asking for what I made the appointment for...a cleaning and check up. Again, she refused and told me that she would not do anything other than what the doctor had requested. I said I did not want to pay $110 extra for any deep clean. She said there was nothing she could do, so I left. When I returned to work, being later than expected due to the fact that the appointment, which didn't even include a cleaning, ran so late, I told my coworkers about my experience. One of them told me he also had gone to see Dr. Hernandez and she did the exact same thing to him. He also knew two other people she had done this to. This woman is not in dentistry to help people, but to rip them off and make money. I was appalled by not only the lack of professionalism of Dr. Hernandez and her staff, but also by the complete disregard for the patient's wishes. Make an appointment at your own risk! read more
