If you're looking for a simple shellac or manicure, I'm sure this place is fine. If you're looking for a design, I would stay clear unless it is super simple. I was charged an extra $20 for a "complex design," which I agreed to before we started. For reference it was a simple retro wave design and I understand all designs come with a risk of not getting what you wanted. The receptionist was hawking over us the entire time and telling me that it was hard to get the look I wanted because of the colors I chose and because "Instagram makes the nails look better online," so that I should be careful with what I pick. I was honestly okay without that explanation because then I was proceeded to be hit with a $60 charge. I think I was only upset because before I moved to Redmond, I was able to get this same design for cheaper at another salon I used to go to and it always turned out the way as shown in the photo. I also just did not appreciate the backhanded comments at my color choices or me getting a design off a Google search the entire time. Had to write this review to pay it forward to the next person. I visited this shop to get a short, square, French tip full set. The photos speak for themselves. The service took over two hours. I'm giving two stars because the guy at least tried to fix a few of the nails, but really just ended up making them worse. Stopped by for a quick manicure today. I didn't have an appointment but didn't have to wait at all because they had 1 or 2 available ladies (one of them may have been the cashier/receptionist). The selection of polishes was pretty good. I wanted to choose an essie polish because I haven't tried essie before, but didn't like the color options so I went with OPI instead. The technician didn't talk much but did a good job cleaning up the area around my nails and then carefully applying a few coats of polish. The brief arm massage was nice and I like that she offered a beverage (mini water bottle or tea or soda?) when I sat down. I didn't get a chance to see prices before I sat down so I was surprised the manicure was $15 instead of the ~$12 I've encountered at similar places, but $15 isn't bad. Am I likely to return? Yep. I'm already thinking about getting a pedicure here in a couple weeks! read more

I loved, loved, loved, the large selection of polish colors. I had very specific colors in mind and they had them. Their nail art is also very well done! I am going to Disney world so I did a Disney theme and they rocked it, better than my expectations. I originally learned about this place from my friend who goes here quite often and she loves it. I went to give it a shot and these workers there are so nice and sweet. Once you get right in they offer you a menu that consist of all the different type of treatments you can get done. As well as there are FREE Beverages you can choose from water, tea, soda and even wine. Yes you heard me wine. This shop does more than just nails they do waxing, tinting (eyebrows, eye lash), Facials and a variety of manicures and pedicures. When I went in I got a manicure w/ shellac and a regular pedicure. It was very peaceful because of the nice music they play and the comfy chairs that they have. Getting my pedicure I got to sit in a chair that was a massage chair! I have only been to a few nail salons in my life and this was a first that the chair was an actually massage chair. They worked professionally making sure they are following the right procedures and making sure all the tools they were using were clean and safe to use. Afterwards I forgot that I wore sneakers and they were able to put these slippers on my feet so I could sit in the drying spot which was a big surprise to me, It was very convenient. Overall I loved my experience and I would definitely come again. You should too! This shop is located right side of Boiling Point. This was my first nail salon experience since King County went into phase 1.5 and I want to commend Lilly Nails on my experience. They have a great system to keep their customers safe. You sign a waiver using a QR code, they have hand sanitizer outside for you to use prior to entering their salon, they do a thermal temp scan, you are instructed not to touch the nail polish bottles, and there is a plexiglass like barrier between you and your nail artist. I felt very safe there. I didn't opt to get gel manicure this time but they did a great job with my pedicure. My feet were in rough shape but with the paraffin treatment and callus removal, my feet were soft and refreshed! :) read more

Well , I went their and the lady was going to do my nails was a grumpy older lady. She tried to trim my nails with normal clippers , but she was unable to do it properly . So she did what she she could and called it done. Hardly cutting anything and not going into cutting the nail all the way to the bottom. I pointed this out , but the manager said we don't do that anymore , we only cut what the standard clipper can cut . What ? Really don't want to write a bad review for a small business during the pandemic but I do want to let future customers know what they're getting into. I will start by saying I think this shop has good reviews for their acrylics and nail art. So if that's your thing, those reviews will be helpful. If you're going for a relaxing manicure pedicure experience, look elsewhere. I made an appointment in advance yet they seemed to struggle to keep up with me and walk ins. The whole appointment took over 90 minutes. The massage was so minuscule I could barely feel it and the resulting polish on my fingers and toes was horrible. I had hang nails and uneven spots all over. They also have horrible (or no) ventilation and the whole salon smelled so bad I had a horrible headache (even with a mask on the whole time!). The absolute worst though was the hygiene. I saw her multiple times pick skin and nails and throw them on the floor. She had a towel on a pillow for my hands and multiple times she would just shake it out onto the floor and put it back on my lap. So gross. Really sorry to write this but honestly it was a bad experience. If you're going for nail art that's one thing but don't come here expecting a spa or relaxing experience :( read more

Having recently moved into the area I was looking for a reputable nail Salon. I am very selective when it comes to nail salons having had many bad experiences, but based on some of the reviews, decided to give Lilly Nails Salon a try a few weeks ago. I've lived in many locations around the country and have to say without a doubt, THIS is my favorite nail salon by far!! My nails have never looked better...I couldn't have been more pleased. My gel pedicure was just as good/enjoyable. The staff is extremely professional, friendly and skilled in what they do. Because I'm high-risk, I was pleased to see they implemented various protocols/procedures and installed plexi barriers in the salon to ensure health and safety. I have come to this place for years. It has changed owners quite a lot. Today I came for a manicure and pedicure. While a lady was doing my pedicure, I asked her to rebuff my nails and clean my nails a bit better. I don't think she understood so she called someone that speaks English more fluently. I explained it again and she showed this lady what to do. Apparently she was not happy and told me that if i didn't like how she was doing it to not come over to the store again. I was speechless because I didn't say anything rude to her. I asked her to repeat it again because I was in disbelief. I liked their nail service, it was ok. What I had big problems was with their wax service. I have big tolerance to pain so at the time of my waxing, I did not mind it. What I did not realize was I was already burned, and I found it out while driving after. It looked really worse the day after. Another update: 8/12/2011 I've now been to this place in total four times, due to the convenience factor (it 's a few blocks from my house) and the glowing Yelp reviews. Sorry, I keep dropping my star rating for this salon, as it goes from bad to worse for me. The last few times, the nail job was good, that's true, but there have been "incidents": last month I had a pedicure (as did my husband, beside me). The gal was sweet (and very pregnant!), but when filing my nails, she was super-aggressive and it hurt and one toe in particular got the surrounding skin debraded and filed off. And it became red. And it hurt, for 3 days afterwards. And it swelled up and was warm to the touch. I think it got infected. I put a lot of antibiotic on it and it got better later in the week. But that was worrisome to me. Then, two nights ago, I went to get a fill. It was 5:50pm and the big neon sign by the door said "OPEN". The front door was wide open. Lilly was sitting by the door inside, chatting with two employees. There were no customers in the store. Not one. I asked if she could do a fill and she asked if I could come back tomorrow. I said, aren't you open? Their website says they're open until 7pm. She said she had to go home and to come back tomorrow please. I looked at her and the two gal employees and said okay, thinking that's it, I will never be back again. What? Don't they want the business? If she had to leave, why couldn't the other employees do my nails? I just don't get it. ______________________________________ I see in the filtered reviews where someone blasted me for my poor review of this nail salon (see below), when the salon messed up my appt and my whole Saturday was messed up (my kids', too, who were with me), because I rushed to the salon mid-day for my appt from downtown Bellevue and they didn't have my appt on the books with the nail tech I specifically requested, who they had assured me I was booked with. Perhaps if this other reviewer had her one precious free day a week suddenly messed up, she'd feel likewise. That said, I decided to try this salon again, based on all the fabulous reviews. I must say, I'm still not sold on it, and I truly don't understand the draw. I came in and was seen by Cindy. The pluses: Cindy was very friendly and personable. The cost is great for a fill ($15). Most importantly, Cindy did a fabulous job on my nails. The negatives: the selection of polish colours is not great (1/2 to 1/3 of the selection of other salons). There are no UV light trays to dry your nails - only those little fans. My biggest gripe? When Cindy put out a terrycloth face cloth for me to rest my hands on, while she initially clipped my nails, there were TONS of other people's nail clippings on the face cloth!!! It was GROSS and disgusting to me, to be on a dirty cloth like that!!! She didn't even pick it up and shake it! She simply swiped a few of the clippings away, leaving the majority of them there for me to see (and FEEL, by my hands!). Makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the tools used... Sorry, gals, this place is only so-so. I gave it a try and I don't understand the love affair most of you have with it. read more

Zero customer service points. I came in for a fill (I've been getting them for 10 years, so I know the routine) and the tech was very forceful. She shouted at me to not touch my own nails while she was filing them down, told me "don't worry" about 5 times when I asked her to remove leftover polish before she attempted to cover it with acrylic and told me I'd have to get a manicure ($10 more, but all she did was cut cuticles and soak hands in water) to remove leftover polish. I have NEVER had a tech yank my hand, shush me, repeatedly ignore my requests and charge me extra for a mani I didn't even receive. All in all, I was charged $27 for a fill and cuticle cut. Ridiculous. I will NOT be returning. I'd advise everyone to skip this place unless you want to pay more for less. read more

I am honestly surprised at some of the negative comments because I find Lilly Nails to be much more clean, welcoming and relaxing than other nail salons. I have been twice now and both times I received great pedicures. They are friendly and warm when you walk in and I have not had to wait either time. The chairs are comfortable and the salon seems very clean (and I am neurotic about cleanliness!). There is no television there which makes it a relaxing and quiet time. Both times I upgraded to the $35 pedicure which includes a longer massage, scrub and warm towels which feel amazing! I love the selection of polish-they have all the new colors including the new Crackle! I really enjoy the friendliness and relaxing environment and even though this isn't the closest nail salon to me, I will go out of my way to go there. Try them out! read more

I would have given 5 stars, but I had to take one away because there is one technician there that made those painful ridges on my nails when he did my 'fill'. I've been going exclusively to lily nails in Redmond for a year now and I don't plan to change that. In the past I would just pop into random places, but this place got me hooked! I usually try to get in with Mimi, she's so sweet and kind. My nails always look perfect (I always get shellac). And she's never accidentally cut my skin or anything which is so refreshing haha. If I can't get in with her then I'm always happy to see anyone else there. They have a lot of drink options for a nail spa! Several types of soda, coffee, tea, water, and wine! And it's all complimentary. One last thing, there is a minimum of a 8 min foot massage on the basic pedicure. They always time it so you never feel like you got gipped! read more

This is literally the worst nail salon I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. First, the man who owns the place humiliated me by grabbing my wrist and pulling me to show the other customers a small, very old tattoo on my wrist. He was incredibly inappropriate and made fun of me. Then, a woman was removing my acrylic nails and literally tore a hole through my thumb nail. I am writing this review far after this experience and can tell you that this HOLE in my nail was extremely painful and took a full 6 months to heal. They play favorites with their customers. I was not offered anything to drink and did not get a warmed neck pillow... All of the neighboring customers did, even a woman who came in for the exact same service I was getting. Two of my friends and I had an appointment for 2 pedicures and 3 manicures, we were sat down immediately and offered some nice cold water. I was very pleased with my pedicure and for the cheapest option you actually get a pretty long massage! During the manicure the lady doing my nails did trim a little too much of my cuticle which then caused blood to start coming out. Other than that I was pretty satisfied with my service there. This is the only nail place I will come to when I'm on the eastside. The price is good, the employees are fast and nice, and they are good at what they do! I usually only get a normal pedicure, a #1 I believe. The price used to be only $25 but it's been lowered to $15. It comes with clip/clean/shape, massage, exfoliate, hot towels, lotion, and polish. It comes with a free drink as well. They've really upgraded since I started coming here, adding the free drinks, the reward system, and the menu. Overall it's a nice place, and the employees are always sweet and friendly. They have offered me free flowers on my toes many times! Great experience!! I'll keep going there for pedicure, no doubt. I went there last week with my toe's nails in very bad condition and with inflammation. Lilly told me it would be better to have a relaxation session there and that I should go home and put my feet in hot water and sea salt for a few days, than I should go back. So, today I went back. She remembered me and explained my case to the person who would take care of me. Lilly and Cindy took great care of me and now I can't believe that only a few days ago I couldn't wear socks!!!
