My friends and I stopped by Lilo's during our Oregon road trip and enjoyed the gigantic portions of food the restaurant had to offer. We arrived just before they were going to close, so we got the food as takeout and ate it outside on their picnic tables. I particularly liked the macaroni salad, but there was also plenty of meat and rice in the meal as well. I wish the sauce was a bit stronger, however, I know I tend to enjoy food with stronger sauces, so don't let my judgment prevent you from giving this place a try.

Once in a while my wife and our kids will take a drive from Happy Valley, OR to eat this amazing food! i've tried multiple Hawaiian places but this place has a special spot in our hearts. Very delicious food not salty and not bland just perfect!

It's like the best mix of American style bbq with Hawaiian style sides! The bbq is not overly saucy and perfectly done. Get the steamed broccoli!! The perfect balance

A snowy winter day in da Hood had us craving a sunny lunch. Let's go to Lilo's. Universal expectations for any style BBQ joint is the meat needs to be moist & tender and memorable sauce. Kaumaha sad to say pulled pork was way dried out dude. 2oz of BBQ sauce is not going to soften it up. At least the employee was nice enough to give us an additional 2oz though he said he was supposed to charge for it. With dry bread to sandwich it made it to dry to eat and had to open it up and fork it. Rice was soggy :( Mac salad creamy but no flavor. Coleslaw had a crunchy snap but tasted just like the mac salad. Flank Steak was better but a bit dry also. Reggae music in the background might not be exactly a Hawaiian vibe. C'mon give me some Honolulu ukulele not Caribbean. Mahalo & hui hou.

If your going in warmer weather they have outdoor seating next to the smoker that they use to make this delicious food. Great portions for the price would recommend for anyone needing a pick me up.

Stopped here for dinner on a day trip to see Herman the Sturgeon at the Bonneville Fish Hatchery. It was an extra 21 miles to get to Hood River from the hatchery and worth every mile. Each of the four of us had something different covering the meats from pork to chicken to beef and they were all excellent. The sides were great, the portions were large, the service was fast and friendly, the experience was ideal. Try the POG - pineapple, orange, guava - drink, too!

Having been to Hawaii several times, maybe I just have too high a standard. Food - well it was edible. The pork was dry and tasteless, how does one mess up rice? I also ordered extra pineapple, which they did NOT include in my order. Service - fair, basically indifferent. I don't think he wanted to be there, but he wasn't rude or anything. Prices - average, but not a good value based on the quality of food. Parking - plenty of parking.

The brisket was very soft and the ribs fell off the bone but the tiniest cup of bbq sauce I've ever gotten with takeout was not very flavorful. The rub on the meat was dry and had large mustard seeds. I left the ordering to my spouse and he came back with just 4 slices brisket and 5 ribs - no sides - for $44! Maybe the sides make a difference? Maybe moving here from Memphis makes a difference? When you've had ribs there nothing compares! Either way my vote is an hour and 45 minutes on a Saturday is not worth the wait.

The food was well received, with the brisket and smoked mac n cheese being the major highlights. My family could not stop raving about how tender and flavorful the brisket was. My Impossible Burger was really good and although I try to avoid the processed meat alternatives, it was a good cheat meal. They have a few TVs inside, included a big screen TV that was playing the Sunday Night Football game. This would be a great spot to watch a sports game while grabbing a bite to eat or a beer/cider. Everyone else is already finishing up their drinks and meals. Wanting just one drink after a long day, I head to the bar! My wife asks me to get her one too. Here's where it gets bizarre. Kickstand has a bar...well, it looks like a bar. But what I found out is that it's just for looks because it doesn't act like a bar. I thought ordering two cocktails and paying for my drinks would be easy, like it is at every bar in town. But the bartender, I mean employee standing behind a bar, asked if I was with the large group. I stated, "yes, I was." Then she proceeded to tell me that the drinks would be on someone's tab. But I showed up late...I don't know what's happening. I don't know who's paying for the "tab". I just wanted to buy two drinks and walk away. But that wasn't allowed at Kickstand. Then another employee walks up and attempts to take my drink order. Super confused, I tell her the employee standing behind the bar just took my drink order. And then we proceeded down the tab conversation again. The second employee said because "we" were a party of 8 or more, I couldn't pay for my own drinks and I they would have to put it on the party's tab. But again, I don't know who owns the tab. If it was the woman having the birthday, I didn't want to add to her bill...on her birthday. Then they suggested I "could just Venmo" the party girl. No! I want to just order two drinks and have Kickstand take my money. Why wouldn't they just take my money?! The place was dead tonight, other than the 5 or so small daycarel families, sitting at their own tables, that made up the "party". I canceled my drink order and walked away out of protest and principal. When asked if I was with the big party, I should have said no I guess. Lesson leaned for next time, if there is a next time. Kickstand, you're so difficult and frustrating!!

Full Sail is a very well respected micro brewery, founded in 1987 and the first craft brewery in the Pacific Northwest to bottle its beer. It's flagship Amber has won numerous awards, including recently in 2025 a Gold Medal at the NY International Beer Competition (along with the brewery being named Oregon Brewery of the Year). It has a large line-up of beers brewed inhouse There is a large paid parking lot across the street at $1.25 per hour, payable via credit card through nearby kiosks. Once entering, there is a long hallway, walking past the working areas of the brewery, until getting to the restaurant area. It has views of I-84, and further the Columbia River. The outdoor patio was not open (drizzling outside), and it was pretty crowded inside but we got lucky to be seated at a table near windows with a view. There have lunch and happy hour specials during weekdays. The lunch special is 1/2 of a sandwich (grilled cheese this day) along with a cup of their soup of the day (tomato). I was super excited about the Amber, so got a pint of that ($8) and pint of the Queen Wheat ($8). My wife enjoyed the Queen Wheat but didn't care for the Amber. I really liked the Amber, making me realize why I had drunk so much of that style earlier in my life when in Wisconsin, before switching over to wheat beer. There selection of beer is great, and a flight is the way to go ($18 of 6 5oz samplers). Buffalo Hot Wings ($17) - a decent amount of simply deep fried hot wings in a classic Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread Sticks ($13) - 4 large, warmed pretzels. Should have gotten the beer cheese to go with it. Salmon Fish & Chips ($20) - 3 small pieces of beer battered salmon, very dense and definitely tasting of wild caught salmon. It came with good fries and a really good, fresh cole slaw. There is a small refrigerator stocked with cans of certain beers for sale. Unfortunately, we were dismissively told that they were out of the Amber bottles for sale. So after our meal, went to the front to purchase directly from the front staff. Their Japanese rice beer from their Session lineup ($10 for a six pack) was available and what we brought back home with us.

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!
