First off, I'll state that I've been coming to Tina (owner) of Lily Nails for around 15 years. The last few months I've gone there, I've noticed a significant decline in both customer service as well as the service itself and today was the cherry on top! The business has been overbooking and staying open until 11pm, to compensate for the time they lost due to covid. There is nothing wrong with trying to make money for lost time unless it interferes with the quality of your service - which it has. It's so busy in there, that they double and triple book you with a nail tech. So you'll be seated and the employee will be working on you and a couple others at the same time, which is unprofessional. Today for example, I came in for a manicure. Tina had another customer seated right next to an empty spot and called me over to begin simultaneously working on me. She cut my nails unevenly, barely filed them, got a bowl and "soaked" one hand for all of 30 seconds, took it out and placed the other one in for 30 seconds as well. She then put a drop of lotion, rubbed - not massaged, and said all done go wash your hands. To which I was confused as to how that constituted as a manicure. So I spoke up and said something to her. Tina then began to scream in front of the whole nail salon to where all eyes were turned on to our conversation. I explain to her calmly that what she did was not considered a manicure and it wasn't about the $22, it was the principle that she spent less than five minutes working on my nails and wanted to charge me $22 so she can work on her next customer. Her husband then had to calm her down and tell her to walk away and stop yelling because he was embarrassed that she was causing a scene. For being a long-time customer, I should've never had to experience that. As someone who pays and has no issue paying, I want to pay for a service of high-quality not a quick in and out manicure that honestly lasted less than 5 minutes. As I stated above, all Lily Nails is trying to do right now is compensate for last time and make up money that they lost during the shut down. So they're just putting customers in and out as quick as they can, with no quality to their work. In the Picture you can see the poor quality of work in the cuticle still along my nail bed. There are plenty of nail salons in the area that may be slightly higher in price but you get what you pay for. I will never support Tina/Lily Nails again and don't recommend. read more

They are friendly and kind, I like how they always say if you are not happy with it please come back. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the lack of enforcement of covid public health guidelines. I would not go back unless that is changed because I did not feel comfortable sitting indoors for a long period of time with people (both customers and workers) not wearing masks properly (below there nostrils) and no enforcement of masks to customers. I truly hope more education/enforcement/signs are enforced so that we can go back to normal and feel safe doing normal activities again. read more

Excellent experience at lily nails. They were very friendly, quick, affordable and both ladies that did my nails/toes did a great job! 10/10 super excited to have found a good nail place, fills only $21 and they don't buckle and dime you for nail repairs. Overall very good! I like how my nails ended up and I was greeted by some of the very courteous staff; however, I wasn't asked what shape or length I wanted. I'm happy about how they look now but I think I would be happier if they had been a more round shape. I usually get my nails done by the guy and he's very nice and honestly my nails last 4 weeks when he does them. He's a wonderful nail tech! The lady Tina that works here not so great. I walked out with the most horrible nails I've ever ever ever had. Glue everywhere, discolored, visible air bubbles just nasty looking. I've never had to walk back into a nail salon. I called them same day and they said they would fix it the next day. I changed the color at home because I had plans that night. When I came in today she said she can't give me a change without charging me and that my nails look fine. I told her I changed them at home and still need to be corrected. She said she has to charge me. I never said I wouldn't pay I drove 20 min and she basically said they look fine and will not change it. Didn't even give me a chance to show her my toes. I was very polite about it. I'm very upset because her husband is wonderful and I hate that I have to put up this review but I'm really upset. Please tell me do these look fine to you. read more

I tried this place because it's located right next to my gym. I've always gotten quick and friendly service. They do make an effort to greet you at the door and spend a good amount of time on your nails. I was treated nicely and never once felt like my nail tech was rushing. I was initially hesitant to try this place due to the bad service complaints, but this is just a regular nail salon with the typical service you would expect. You can't expect them to roll out the red carpet with places like this. Overall, a great place to get a mani/pedi if you live in the area. Don't let the bad reviews put you off! read more

This is your basic Vietnamese nail salon plus. The many added amenities include: nail techs all speak English, all of the pedicure chairs are operational and give GREAT butt/thigh massages as well as the usual back kneading, I've never waited more than 15 minutes without EVER making an appointment, and they have flatscreen in front of the foot baths. The actual mani/pedis are pretty standard with some added extras like hot towels and the fact that they sanitize everything in front of you. I wouldn't say it's the best ever but definitely the best in the area especially for the prices. I've gone to Lily Nails on a few occasions when my normal salon was closed or I was in a bind, for both manicures and pedicures. I've always had an OK experience, but appreciated the fact that their establishment is clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, after last night's experience, that will be my last visit to Lily Nails, and I would not recommend if you want a relaxing, enjoyable and long lasting manicure. I went last night for a manicure, as I am standing in a wedding this week, and have never walked out so unhappy. After waiting almost 30 minutes (which they said 20, and even then I was still okay with it), my manicure lasted 15 minutes!! (I watched the clock). He FLEW through my manicure which left my nail beds looking horrible and he put so much top coat and gel on that as my nails were drying, the polish was literally drooping off my nails. I was going to ask him to fix, but he walked out the door 2 seconds after I was done, and all the other technicians were busy. I ended up going home and taking off all my nail polish, filing down my jagged nails, re-cutting all my cuticles, re-shaping my nails and painting them. I've been to going to this place for many years. The place is near a Walmart, Dunkin, Uno's, the theater, and several other places. You can make a day of it by grabbing lunch with friends and getting your nails done. I've never had trouble finding parking. The place is decently sized. The workers have always been nice to me and I've never had issues. I only had to wait about 10 minutes at times if there were ppl ahead. I am very nervous and particular of nail salons. The owners have the highest standards. I am able to relax and enjoy the experience.

I am visiting the Detroit area and was looking for a place to have a pedicure on Yelp and there were not very many reviews for salons in the area. So, my sister-in-law and I decided to check this place out. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because when we entered the salon they weren't as attentive as I am use to, but they were very busy. Once we were seated though it was awesome. They have a good selection of colors and they have shiatzu chairs(which I love). They were very friendly and chatted with us during the pedicure. The pedicure itself was great and my feet felt like heaven when I left. The prices were pretty standard for a SPA Pedicure, $25. This was my sister-in-laws first pedicure and she will definitely be going back! read more

I say this because I've been going here forever and they've hired some people that did an awful job and gave awful service, but they always let them go. I don't understand how this place is always so packed. The area must be severely deprived of quality nail salons. I went here about 3 times but enough is enough. Every time I would go I was greeted by a 30-45 minute wait followed by a subpar mani/pedi session, in terms of staff professionalism and the actual mani/pedi. It's common knowledge that manis don't last as long as pedis, but I've been to other salons where my mani lasted at least a week, if not a couple days more. Not at Lily Nails, though. It starts chipping after a day or two. Also, I would rather not have the nail tech dig around my nail with her own nail, trying to clean up the edges. Once, I stood up to leave after I had already waited 25 minutes. One of the employees noticed this and assured me it would only be another 10 minutes. So of course I thought I might as well stay. 10 minutes turned into another 20. I would stay away if I were you. read more

I went 2 days ago for a manicure with acrylics. The manicurist was very rough; it literally felt like she was taking out all her aggression and job dis-satisfaction on my nails. She actually cut me and ignored the blood. She acted if nothing happened. After I left my nails were burning and sore to the touch. Now 2 days later, they still hurt. My mom told me to take them off and as soon as Homecoming is over, I will. Stay away from this place. read more

Love this place. I have been going for over 5 years! They're great! Make your appointments when needed but even on a Saturday morning I can walk in and begin my service within 5 minutes. My mom, aunt and myself all went to lily nails for a belated birthday celebration. We were all able to get into the salon and seated together for pedicures. They were very thorough and did a wonderful job on each of our feet. We then all got a manicure and again they did a great job. We left there feeling refreshed and with gorgeous nails. I just got back from Lily's and I loved every minute of my 1 1/2 hour mani and pedi! My daughter and I walked in got seated right away and the pampering started. Took my daughter there for a birthday present. She got a full set. I got a gelish French manicure. First, they let us walk in without an appointment but the 15 minute wait was more like 30-40 minutes. Even if you had an appointment, it seemed like it was first come first serve. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, everything was filthy. I saw one manicurist shake her towel out on the floor and flip it over for her next customer. They did not use new Emory boards for each customer. They were used. I would not put my hands down under the black light. It looked as though it had never been cleaned. The man doing my manicure would dig his thumb nail into the sides of my fingers to clear of the polish on my skin. At times it was painful. I don't want to think about the cuticle trimmer. The tables were dirty. At the end of my manicure, without warning, a big blob of lotion was squeezed out on my right hand and rubbed in over my ring. I was prepared for my left hand and took my wedding ring off before he could get that mess all over my ring. I was pretty disgusted after I left. Will not return. read more

I was a loyal customer at a point. When I first went there I was new to the area and I thought I would try them out. I had a male do my nails the first couple of times. He always seemed to rush but it wasn't enough to keep me from going. Then I let one of the better females do my nails. It was great but then it seemed that she was over booking her clients which led to her rushing. I went in one day for my scheduled appt to get a fill in...everything was going fine and then she cut the crap out of me and I was bleeding everywhere. She tried to minimalize it, even though I felt like i had just slammed my thumb in the door. Ok so I let it go....went in a couple weeks later for the same thing with the same person...she called herself "fixing" the thumb nail that had lifted. When she reached in with the cuticle clippers I already knew something bad was about to happen and within seconds my thumb was cut and I was bleeding so bad the super glue wouldn't stop it. I had had it by this point. My nails were not looking as good as they were when I first started seeing her. Now all of a sudden when it begans to pick up in there I have to be rushed out. I don't think so....I'm paying the same money. Needless to say I haven't been back, I ended up having to go to my doctor to make sure I didn't have an infection. On top of that I missed my meeting I had to go to, I couldn't get my nails finished and I ended up having to soak the nails off and head to work with my hands looking like they were in an accident. i have been going to lily nails for about 7 years, since nahn bought it! both his wife and mother and father work there too! love this place and the whole family! my nails have never looked so good i get compliments all the time - i get artwork on big toes and ring fingers - always get compliments on them! ooohh those massaging chairs, really love them!!!!! in 7 years never had a bad manicure(fill) or pedicure, he fixes my continually ingrowing toenails just cannot say enough about them! a dear friend of mine is a nail tech instructor at a beauty college and yes this is where she gets her pedicures done, can a recommendation gen better than that? also i have been in the hospital twice in the last two months and even the nurses complimented my nails and several, when told where i go, lily nails, they go there too. no i am not getting paid for this! lol i just give credit where credit is due, good people, great service clean and sanitary! i always make an appointment but walk-ins come in all the time as well read more

Just moved to the area & was looking for a decent spot to get services done... Went this past Thursday & although the inside didn't look too bad, my pedicure was the worst I've ever had. The girl said she had been working there for 3 months but was entirely unprofessional - was on her phone texting for almost 5 minutes infront of me before she even started my service & then seemed to go through the steps without taking time to make my nails even length or shape. The massage was not only short but entirely uncomfortable because she kept slapping my legs as she chatted with the person seated beside me... after she had painted my toes I was told to go sit at the dryer and then was basically rushed to pay & leave before I was even dry. Once I got to my car the polish was messed up & one of my nails was only half painted. $27 isn't a bad price for a pedicure but for the service I received it definitely was.
