Out of all the times we came, I only got a picture of one thing- which this crème brûlée espresso martini was good! I think my favorite I had from there was their old fashioned, it was perfectly balanced. Traveling 95 from Florida to NE. Always stop in Rocky Mount to visit a BBQ but tried something different walking distance to the hotel. As a single traveler I sat at the Bar and was immediately greeted by the most friendly bartender. I was in the mood for an Old Fashioned and she prepared their house Old Fashioned presented complete with smoke. It was delicious. Ordered the Ribeye and spinach and ate everything including the signature dessert. Took off one star as it was a little pricey but the service, friendliness, and food quality were worth the stop. We frequent LilyAnn's often and highly recommend it! We have always been greeted as though we are family at LilyAnn's. Reservations are simple on the website, they run a tight ship so seating is always on time. Services and quality is where they shine. So many talented servers and bartenders. They made wonderful recommendations and pairings, and took special attention to my wife's vegetarian needs and my non-vegetarian cravings! My friend and I visited the restaurant one Friday night for dinner. The initial impression and aesthetics of the restaurant is elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. Nice ambiance. The place was very busy. Our name was taken and place on the waiting list. We went to the bar area to partake in libations while we waited. The bar waiter did come over to take our drink order. We waited approximately 30-45 minutes to be seated. We sat for an additional 15-20 minutes before we were services. My friend and I both had veggie risotto. It was not good at all. Not very flavorful. I felt as though the staff wasn't very attentive or accommodating to us. Maybe they were overwhelmed by the influx of people. I ordered Lamb chops they were over cooked. I couldn't chew them at all. I left them on the plate after the first bite that was tried. I sent them back burned spoke to the manager he didn't correct the problem. So you charged us without correcting what was wrong. Very much expensive and not happy at all. You lost a customer. We decided to try this place even though reviews weren't great, with regards to quality, flavor, and value. We had four different steak dishes between the four of us. Each steak was cooked well enough but very bland yet still very expensive. Two of our dishes came with truffled french fries and there were enough of these fries for five people on each serving. They were dry and just like the steaks, Bland. The drinks were so so but iced down heavily and still expensive. It's a nice place but overpriced for the quality of food they are serving. When we left and walked towards the hotel, across the parking lot, I saw an outback restaurant. I know I would've had better tasting food for a much better value at Outback. Live and learn, be your own judge, but I would not recommend this place where just about everything Outback sells is both less expensive and of much better satisfying flavor. read more

Quick Family Date Night To start out my review I must first give kudos to the owners and visionaries for bringing "fine"dinning to Rocky Mount. Besides prime Smokehouse and Jacks in the Mills you'd be hard pressed to find elevated eateries in Rocky Mount. So thanks for upgrading the pallet of many around. The owners stated they wanted to make it so people would not have to drive to Raleigh for a great meal at a nice steakhouse and they delivered in decor, setting, and menu options however after dinner we have concluded they may need a little more to help keep us from traveling to capital grille lol. We will approach this review from the perspective of local and someone who enjoys fine dinning a steakhouses. Our meal : I ordered the 12oz choice Ribeye cooked medium and added the brussel sprouts and Midas Mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION, I would have like a bit of a sear on it to add to the flavor. I appreciated that they cut the steak for you. Made me feel just like a cute little baby , nah but it was cool frfr. The Mashed potatoes were decent, not sure if they are house mashed or powder, sadly I could not tell, which from a fine dinning standpoint I felt I should have been able to differentiate. The brussel sprouts much like the steak was cooked to perfection however they were borderline hospital grade in flavor. I would have liked to see some sort of sweet soy glaze or bacon tossed in them to enhance the dish. They were simply not worth taking home unfortunately. We also got the bread service and man that bread was COLD and flavorless. Any warm butter would have helped however it came with an oil basalmic dressing to dip. Just not my preference. Ambiance : Y'all did the dang thang with the decor, the special touch of lighting, seating, and even the bathroom decor all came together and gave fine dining energy. My only issue was the men's restroom door. I took my son for a potty break and an older gentleman walked right in. The door locks from the inside but people are still able to open in from the outside after the lock button is pressed. Y'all gotta fix that asap. Service : we used opendoor and requested a booth in hopes to get one however the hostess sat us right by the kitchen at a table by the back door, when we saw much better booth like seating on the other side. We didn't complain as we like to be authentic in our dining process. The space was not that busy for a cold Tuesday night so we felt they definitely could have sat us elsewhere. The seating at the tables are very close however the space isn't the largest so I get them trying to maximize dining seating however we were close enough to the table behind us that our seats were almost touching. Our server Jessica was very accommodating and you could tell she knew how to serve families with little kids. It meant a lot. Overall : Overall Lilyanns saved us a drive to Raleigh and time which is so important for us, however in the end we felt our meal was lacking enough to truly keep us outta Raleigh. It's an upgrade for Rocky Mount for sure and definitely good enough to pull some dollars from the mills however for us we wanted more. The small details as it relates to seating, bathroom door, cold bread, and flavorless brussel sprouts have left us with no choice but to give a 3.5 outta 5. Best of luck to the new establishment. Let me start off by saying I don't really like steak. Red meat just isn't my favorite. So I was a little disappointed when my husband suggested going here for our date night tonight. Then the good came. The pimento cheese crab dip was The fresh warm bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. The steak was soooo tender. Cooked perfectly. Excellent just as it came, amazing with the garlic herb compound butter he got or the red wine and shallot demi glaze I got. Truffle and pecorino fries. Pimento cheese and bacon mac and cheese. I wasn't sure what to expect from this new restaurant in Rocky Mt. When I walked in, it was very quiet. There was beautiful music in the background and we were shown to our table without having to wait. White cloth table coverings added to the ambience. Our server was very, very neatly dressed, as were all of the servers that I saw. She explained the menu and let us know about the specials. The one thing that really stood out was the fact that while we were enjoying our appetizers, I could see our server peek out to see how far along we were so the chef would know when to start our main course. Went there on a Monday early evening and pleasantly greeted by the hostesses opening the doors for us. W asked to be seated at the bar as the place was pretty empty, good decision. The bar staff, Audretae and Milly were stars. They made us feel really welcome and walked us through the specials and menu. My husband and I had a lovely Friday night date night. Once parked, staff was waiting with the door open to let us inside. Our table was all set up waiting for us to arrive. Our meal started with a small basket of sweet bread served with oil and balsamic vinegar. For our appetizer we enjoyed Cheshire Farms Pork Belly which was absolutely delicious. Mom ordered Scottish Salmon with fingerling potatoes and broccolini. All were very tasty. It was cooked medium which was personally too rare for me. I will order medium well next time. Dad ordered a 12oz Boneless Ribeye cooked perfectly with a side of sweet potatoes. For dessert we shared cheesecake with a tart raspberry topping. Tip: make a reservation in advance. Service was wonderful from the start. The chef and owner checked on everyone through out our meal. One of the great pleasures of traveling is stumbling on a gem like Lilyanne's Steakhouse. We ate dinner there on a frigid Wednesday evening, surrounded mainly by locals who were wise to the excellent food and service there. The salad starter was crisp, the salmon and steak mains cooked as ordered, and we even were tempted by the over the top chocolate dessert. The wine and spirits menu is thoughful. My party got the 12 oz Ribeye and the Salmon. Both were very good for the price and the seasoning on the steak was top notch. The salmon also had a really good butter that was on top that elevated the dish to another level. It is really pricey so be conscious when you are thinking about going but the food is worth the price (for the most part...the desserts are really expensive for good quality but just small portions). The restaurant was also very clean and the open kitchen concept is very unique and one of a kind in Rocky Mount. The vibes are there!! read more
