Best BBQ East of the Mississippi (Support This Gem!) and the owner Chris and his partner Jon are the best of people. Kind and generous and started this business with the purest hearts. My husband and I are huge barbecue lovers, he's from the South, and we've spent a lot of time in Austin eating at the best smokehouses in the country. I can say without hesitation that Lily's BBQ is the best barbecue east of the Mississippi. The level of skill, tenderness, smoke, and flavor here rivals the top spots in Texas. Their burnt ends are absolutely insane.. tender, decadent, perfectly caramelized little bites of heaven. I served them at my baby shower, and people are still talking about them. Everyone was blown away. The brisket has that elusive, buttery "flop" that only true masters can achieve. The sides are just as impressive.. even something as simple as their mac and cheese is flawless. Creamy, balanced, not overly heavy, just... perfect. Their sauces are incredibly well-crafted too, including an Alabama white sauce that's shockingly authentic for New England. What I love most is how innovative and thoughtful their food is. They take classic barbecue and elevate it with technique, creativity, and a real love of the craft. You can taste that care in every single bite. The restaurant itself is beautiful, warm, inviting, and designed with a fresh, modern vibe. I was so sad to hear they're pausing business right now because their sister restaurant had to close. Places like Lily's are unbelievably rare. We need to support them however we can when they reopen, because barbecue this exceptional simply doesn't exist anywhere else on the East Coast. WOW WOW WOW Lily's is a goldmine for delicious food! A friend raved about their food, so we placed our first order to enjoy at home. Thank goodness I didn't order 5 meals, because nothging would have been left! Their food is delicious, fresh, very tasty and finger licking good!! We ordered the Pulled Pork, St Louis Style Ribs and Beef Brisket to try a variety of food! O M G !!!! Phenomenal! We have tried them a couple of time at High Tide at Nantasket Flatts - REALLY good BBQ - the smoked sausage and brisket and pork belly burnt ends were our favs! Baked beans and cole slaw full of flavor (I just have a hard time getting past the minced up cole slaw - would like a little more chew) My ONLY complaint aside from the minced cole slaw, which as I said has GREAT flavor, is that it is never quite hot - always comes out on the cool side - serve it to me hot and FIVE stars! Met the owner/head chef for Lily's and he was great explaining his sauces (which are all also very good) Definitely worth trying - cool bar at the Flatts - nice staff - pool tables upstairs and live music on Fridays...Check it out! read more

It is a solid 3.7 , I am a tough grader. I wanted BBQ , there are none for nearly 19-20 miles of Hingham, but as a Syracuse Dinosaur BBQ/ Mightly Quinn's, and Blue Smoke NYC guy, I was VERY happy to see a BBQ so close. My girl friend ordered Smoked Turkey and Coleslaw, I tried Chicken wings, Brisket, and Burnt Ends/ fried pickles from " the other menu" High Tide. So first the marketing gets a -5.0. awful, who would ever know Lily's BBQ is housed in the High Tide... Absolutely no signage, just a flag outside. The Branding is all High Tide , if they are going to try this, EQUAL real state signage needed.I would never have done there with reseasesrch efforts. Lily's is worth the visit, my review of Nantasket Flatts or something like that, not a fan. So Marketing on Lily's 0.0 Coleslaw - it's not typical, a blue ball 1.0 Chicken Wings-3.0 Brisket 4.0 ( the reason to return ) Burnt Ends - 3.4 Smoked Turkey breast 2.9-3.0 a bit dry, it needs any one of the 5 sauces offered, she did not explore those, I did, some good choices Cornbread to dry 2.0 Fried pickles 2.9 , not crispy,that from High Tide. The pickles are 4.5 in general. Potato salad 4.0 very good Chris owner of Lily's came over, ( 10.0) great guy, really asked for input , I like him. I've had Lily's many times now but I have to say, Lily's as leftovers is just as good as fresh. We chopped up our leftover brisket and tossed it into a salad with some KC BBQ sauce sooooooo good!! read more

This total barbecue feast from beginning to end was a very unexpected surprise for our nephew's birthday celebration. I couldn't understand the devotion to drive half an hour in one direction just to transport the meal back home until I tasted the goods. From the homemade bbq sauces, flavorful and almost flaky brisket, creamy mac & cheese to the fluffiest corn bread on earth, this catering business knocks it out of the park on a number of levels. Even the finely minced coleslaw seemed a little suspect-looking, but the tanginess was undeniable and rounded out the richness of everything else. I live close to Lily's Craft BBQ at High Tide at Nantasket Flatts but for some reason had not tried until this past Sunday....I definitely will try again! I did the 2 meat entree with Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts as sides... I think cornbread and pickles are included in all. Chris was so accommodating as he threw in three samples of sauces because when I had tried ordering over the phone, my order had not gone through. He also threw in a delicious chocolate chip cookie, and even a treat for my son's dog. (Not sure which furry friend will getting as both sons have dogs.) But most importantly, the meat, (pulled pork and the brisket) were fabulous... And the Brussels sprouts were absolutely the best I've ever had! First time trying out Lil's BBQ. (sad)... also last! $61.00 waste of money. there Smoked wings never came near smoke. They were breaded and deep fried. i'm going to say they were even premade and pre-frozen. The Brisket sandwich looked like it was repurposed from a catering event. Roll was soggy and full of more slaw than brisket. c'mon ! nothing was even warm ! I wish you complete and utter failure as a business, when you screw customers like this. read more

This is an excellent new BBQ place! It's definitely a hidden gem in Hull. I ordered a 2 meat tray. The pulled pork was flavorful and the burnt ends melted in my mouth. Make sure you get their pickles and corn bread. I'll have to try their catering next. I will absolutely be going back. read more

Too salty! People with high blood pressure should use caution. Good flavor and well cooked but way too salty.
