YUM!! Great service, great food!! This authentic Mexican breakfast was just what we needed to start our day. The portions were so large that we were able to eat it for breakfast the next day. We really enjoyed stopping in and were happy with what we ate out on the patio. The inside of the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Here's a deal you might have to wait 1520 minutes, but there will be no secret why this is incredible burrito. I literally doubled in size eating it. I loved it. I got a lunch burrito and I went with the Carnitas and it was worth the weight. the seating is really nice inside, but there are so many things to try here. They have burgers at breakfast burritos, but if you do order anything here? Make sure you get the hot sauce. I still can't fill my face, but I could sure taste my burrito. I ordered the large burrito and I have to tell you that is a meal that should last me another 12 hours if you are not ready to eat a lot of food order the small burrito... They originally gave us a one-hour wait time but we're not from Malibu, so "when in Rome," I suppose. That turned out to be completely off (for the better)! I found this place after a hike. A pretty grueling hike so I need a hearty meal. Lilys came in clutch. Their burritos are HUGE!! I had a chorizo burrito for like three days from my one visit. I came in on a Monday, a holiday, and the place was empty-ish. We didn't wait long for our food at all. I appreciated hearing a regular or two come in. They had great rapport with the staff, and somehow that made the food even better. It's a pretty big space with a lot of seating inside and I believe some outside. The sign out front says, 'The Best Burrito in Town' and I'm here to say no truer words have ever been spoken. Their fish burrito, grilled mahi mahi, is amazing. Yes some might say it's pricey, although in today's market it's a fair price.The medium is huge, can't even imagine the size of a large. And ooh so tasty!!! Their chicken tamale plates is also outstanding. The tamales are flavorful as are the beans and rice. Folks working at the counter are so friendly and helpful. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. Website was very easy to place our order. We got there early and there was plenty of parking on a Saturday morning. There is seating indoors and outdoors in the plaza. I ordered the medium bacon burrito. In my opinion it was quite large and I was full for most of the day! The price point was reasonable ($16) and what I liked is that it was full of protein... eggs, beans and bacon and cheese. Simple yet so good. Great spot to hang out in this shopping center for grabs --lots of parking and super friendly staff. I spent about $50 on two carne asada medium burritos, chips and guacamole, and a bottled Coke, and unfortunately the burritos were some of the worst I've had. I went to college around here and this was the go to spot. But I would definitely call ahead as orders take some time. The parking lot is right next to the grocery store so it can get busy, but you should be able to find parking. The main issue was the shrinking of the chicken. I wish that the hot sauce was it as hot. I typically like spicy things, but the hot sauce was almost painful to eat. Somehow paid over $60 and got: a sloppy wet tortilla with runny eggs, bean water, what appeared to be chopped up hot dogs(?!) and some of the worst salsa I have ever seen: basically got pico de Gallo flavored water, no chunks of veggies whatsoever. While walking around Malibu I found one of the hidden gems in town and it was such a nice surprise from that day. If you have a love for true Mexican food this is the place to go! One of the hallmark features at Earl´s is an uncomplicated menu with few frills (the complete opposite to a fast food chain where overabundance seems like it was almost named as their prime target group) but more cushioned in traditional sensibilities. However, seriously do not be fooled by the easy flavor on this one. I ordered the street tacos, which were seasoned perfectly and had fresh juicy meat with just enough onions and cilantro. How spicy you like it is entirely up to personal preference but, from where I stand,. all the tastiest things in life come with a kick and this places homemade salsa was just enough of one not over power anything else there to mask any flavor. And it is a warm, chill place so not a "quick" dining experience. Natural processes take awhile and although it is inconvenient, your patience is part of the journey. The service was nice and you could see that they cared about the things which were offered. Honestly, the wait makes every single second worth it for the food. The cookbook is one for if you have some time and want the flavours to taste as though they were from a Mexican kitchen.
