Ham, bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito with jalapeños and peppers
    Ethan A.

BREAKFAST BURRITO....enough said? One of the best ones I've ever had and would highly recommend you check them out. I ordered the ham, bacon, egg, and cheese and asked them to add peppers and jalapeños which took it to the next level -- you have to add these when you order one (if you can handle a little spice). The service was great and the chefs make everything fresh to order, so expect to wait 5-10 minutes for your food to be prepped. All in all, totally worth the price of admission for how good it is and the generous portion sizes!!

Definitely a hole-in-the wall hidden gem. Country Kitchen is located right off PCH and is literally an outdoor quick service window. There 2 tables and some chairs to eat out in front (outdoors, no shade other than the tree it's under), but oftentimes people grab it to go. They have burgers, sandwiches, breakfast/lunch burritos, omelets, chicken tenders, and sandwiches-a great variety! Since things are made fresh to order, there can be a line/wait and parking may be tough at times. PARKING: Limited spots in the strip mall where it is located. SAUSAGE, BACON, POTATO, EGG, & CHEESE BREAKFAST BURRITO: It was so yummy and made fresh upon ordering. The green salsa that it came with had a decent kick to it. flavorful and had a nice kick to it. Just make sure to ask for it if they forget to give you a serving with your burrito! Recommend it if you're in the area and want to grab some goodness to go!

I stopped by Country Kitchen and grabbed the potato, sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. It was really good. The sausage was amazing, you could tell it was a big link cut into pieces, juicy and flavorful. The hashbrowns were crispy, the eggs were fresh, and the cheese and tortilla was warm and soft. The salsa verde on the side was outstanding and tied everything together perfectly. I make the drive to Malibu every once in a while, and this spot can be easy to miss, it's right off the road without a huge sign. But if you're in the area, it's definitely worth the stop.

Solid hole-in-the wall breakfast burrito spot. The ingredients are fresh, well layered, and most importantly, tasty. Well priced relative to others in the LA area. The burrito itself is simple. I would have appreciated a more stacked burrito and more ingredient options. I eat a lot, and wasn't quite full when I finished my burrito. From a quality standpoint, no complaints. Very tasty. I just wanted more quantity and diversity inside my tortilla. Others might appreciate the fact that Country Kitchen sticks to the basics (and does the basics very well). Overall, a very good option for your breakfast burrito cravings in the LA/Malibu area.

Solid little hole in the wall for a hearty, piping hot, breakfast burrito! We had the bacon, sausage, potato and egg burrito. It was a solid size and the cooker perfectly with fluffy eggs and crispy potatoes. The sausage was whole and I wish it was sliced up for more even distribution but everything else was layered well. We had "hot" verde salsa on the side, it was just the right amount of kick but not spicy. Definitely recommend this addition!

This is pretty much the perfect breakfast burrito. This is up there with Wake and Late for the best I've had, but about $5 cheaper. The bacon was quality, potato was crispy and adding avocado was a great move. The ingredients tasted really fresh. The salsa was like regular mild salsa verde but with an extra kick that was welcomed. The fresh OJ was delicious as well. Service was fairly quick but ordering ahead would help avoid the wait when there's a rush. This place seems like the perfect spot after a surf, hike or morning at the beach. I will definitely have to grab a burger next!

I've been eating at The Country Kitchen since the mid 80's. The sausage & bacon breakfast burrito is the best b-fast burrito in LA.

They brought her water out with mine, I didn't even have to ask. Service: Great, very friendly, from the host to our server, all were great. Food: I ordered the chips and dip trio. The chips were good, the salsas were okay, but the queso was kind of strange in my opinion. It's cold, which I knew, but between that and just the way everything is chopped in it - not my thing. I also got the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries. The sandwich was really good - chicken was juicy and hot - but the fries left a little to be desired. They needed to be hotter and a little crispier - it gave the impression they may have been sitting out for a bit. My pup had grilled chicken - it was a good sized portion and she had 0 complaints, per usual. Drinks: I ordered the Happy Days blonde ale - highly recommend! Very refreshing, especially for those hot days. We would definitely come back whenever we have beach days.

The staff moves through this theater with the self-absorption of performers who have forgotten their audience exists, their relationships with one another more vivid than any connection to the guests they serve. Staff was friendly and accommodating, especially since we had our two dogs with us. They originally wanted to seat us on the patio, which is literally on the sand. Cute idea, but it was a little chilly and the tables felt very close together, so we chose to sit inside near the bar area instead. Unfortunately, only the prices lived up to that expectation. The biggest disappointment was discovering that the restaurant's much-talked-about lobster and shrimp tacos are no longer even on the menu. We settled for the fish tacos, which arrived overcooked, dry, bland, and somehow cold at the same time. The one thing my dining partner and I did enjoy were the sweet potato fries, which ended up being the highlight of the meal. The "famous" $40 sangria carafe was another letdown -- overwhelmingly sweet, more like fruit punch than an actual sangria, and surprisingly lacking the kind of balanced, boozy flavor you'd expect from a tourist beach restaurant charging those prices. The atmosphere also felt tired and past its prime rather than lively or charming, and while not entirely the restaurant's fault, being seated next to a table of five very energetic six-year-olds didn't exactly improve the experience. What should have been the perfect ending to a beautiful beach day instead left us feeling disappointed, sad, and honestly a little ripped off.
