Ham, bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito with jalapeños and peppers
    Ethan A.

BREAKFAST BURRITO....enough said? One of the best ones I've ever had and would highly recommend you check them out. I ordered the ham, bacon, egg, and cheese and asked them to add peppers and jalapeños which took it to the next level -- you have to add these when you order one (if you can handle a little spice). The service was great and the chefs make everything fresh to order, so expect to wait 5-10 minutes for your food to be prepped. All in all, totally worth the price of admission for how good it is and the generous portion sizes!!

Definitely a hole-in-the wall hidden gem. Country Kitchen is located right off PCH and is literally an outdoor quick service window. There 2 tables and some chairs to eat out in front (outdoors, no shade other than the tree it's under), but oftentimes people grab it to go. They have burgers, sandwiches, breakfast/lunch burritos, omelets, chicken tenders, and sandwiches-a great variety! Since things are made fresh to order, there can be a line/wait and parking may be tough at times. PARKING: Limited spots in the strip mall where it is located. SAUSAGE, BACON, POTATO, EGG, & CHEESE BREAKFAST BURRITO: It was so yummy and made fresh upon ordering. The green salsa that it came with had a decent kick to it. flavorful and had a nice kick to it. Just make sure to ask for it if they forget to give you a serving with your burrito! Recommend it if you're in the area and want to grab some goodness to go!

I stopped by Country Kitchen and grabbed the potato, sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. It was really good. The sausage was amazing, you could tell it was a big link cut into pieces, juicy and flavorful. The hashbrowns were crispy, the eggs were fresh, and the cheese and tortilla was warm and soft. The salsa verde on the side was outstanding and tied everything together perfectly. I make the drive to Malibu every once in a while, and this spot can be easy to miss, it's right off the road without a huge sign. But if you're in the area, it's definitely worth the stop.

Solid hole-in-the wall breakfast burrito spot. The ingredients are fresh, well layered, and most importantly, tasty. Well priced relative to others in the LA area. The burrito itself is simple. I would have appreciated a more stacked burrito and more ingredient options. I eat a lot, and wasn't quite full when I finished my burrito. From a quality standpoint, no complaints. Very tasty. I just wanted more quantity and diversity inside my tortilla. Others might appreciate the fact that Country Kitchen sticks to the basics (and does the basics very well). Overall, a very good option for your breakfast burrito cravings in the LA/Malibu area.

Solid little hole in the wall for a hearty, piping hot, breakfast burrito! We had the bacon, sausage, potato and egg burrito. It was a solid size and the cooker perfectly with fluffy eggs and crispy potatoes. The sausage was whole and I wish it was sliced up for more even distribution but everything else was layered well. We had "hot" verde salsa on the side, it was just the right amount of kick but not spicy. Definitely recommend this addition!

This is pretty much the perfect breakfast burrito. This is up there with Wake and Late for the best I've had, but about $5 cheaper. The bacon was quality, potato was crispy and adding avocado was a great move. The ingredients tasted really fresh. The salsa was like regular mild salsa verde but with an extra kick that was welcomed. The fresh OJ was delicious as well. Service was fairly quick but ordering ahead would help avoid the wait when there's a rush. This place seems like the perfect spot after a surf, hike or morning at the beach. I will definitely have to grab a burger next!

One of the best places for breakfast burritos in Malibu! I suggest ordering online before you head up PCH so it's ready by the time you get there as it can get busy in the later morning hours. Such a great way to start your beach day

I've been eating at The Country Kitchen since the mid 80's. The sausage & bacon breakfast burrito is the best b-fast burrito in LA.

I would say there was nothing substantially great or substantially bad about them, kind of run-of-the-mill beers. For food, we got the Southwest salad, which I would say was big enough to serve the entire shared table of about six people. We also got the seared Ahi tuna sandwich, which I would say was delicious but I suspect it may have been the culprit of about three days of stomach issues. I also had the sweet potato fries with a couple of different dipping sauces. So either the tuna or the dipping sauces definitely carried some bacteria that caused issues for a couple of days. I sincerely hope it wasn't the ahi tuna sandwich because it was tasty. Overall, I have some mixed emotions on this place, but it was pretty good so I am willing to give it another chance.

My boyfriend and I got there and she told us to wait for a table to open up then she would seat us; however, we looked and saw multiple tables open and she even sat another party who came after us. We had to ask another server if we could be seated and they seated us shortly after. Vibes: you sit pretty close to other parties and there are a lot of tables in the area. Volume level is fairly loud because of all the people, but it's not an overwhelming loud. Gets busy around brunch/lunch time. On the cuff of being a nicer place to eat in terms of vibes, but because it is near the beach it does feel more chill. Food: I had the build your own fish taco and the Swedish mini pancakes. For the price that I paid, neither was worth it. The fish was kind of dry and flavorless and the best thing about that dish were the veggies. The mini pancakes got mushy quick, so these definitely should be eaten sooner rather than later. The syrup and fruits atop the pancakes were extremely sweet and the dish overall left my stomach feeling heavy. Unfortunately this place is an overpriced tourist trap.

Came at around 2 pm on a weekday so was luckily able to find a parking spot and there was no line to order. If it's busy, good luck. Food was delicious and priced well. Tartar sauce was great, the cocktail sauce as well (and I don't normally like cocktail sauce). Filled me up great. Small clam chowder - 7/10 Pretty solid clam chowder. I probably wouldn't get it again, but the first few spoonfuls were great and very enjoyable. Some of the clam towards the bottom was more chewy which wasn't ideal. Got a bread roll as well and it came with oyster crackers. Spent roughly $30 total, around $20 on the shrimp basket and another $6-7 on the clam chowder. Would 100% come here again, highly recommend if you're in the area looking for some tasty seafood.

We've tried the grilled salmon in the past- and it's nicely cooked and tasty - but the star of the show is their fried offerings. What could be better than a crisply fried piece of cod with delicious fries overlooking the ocean? They do a better job frying fish than much more expensive places (looking at you Santa Monica seafood restaurant). The coleslaw is always fresh, and we also love the creamy chowder, chock full of clam bits. My one note is that they do not season their food so you need to add salt and pepper to everything. The coleslaw benefits from salt and a squeeze of lemon or a few drops of the malt vinegar on the table (also good with the fries of course). I'm not sure why they don't season their fish or batter - but maybe they figure it's best to keep it unsalted and people can add seasoning? There is also hot sauce on the table which adds the perfect zing to the chowder. The people who run the place are friendly and the place is especially popular on weekends. I'd recommend coming midweek either before or after peak lunch hours. Highly recommend.
