Enjoyed a nice breakfast by the water on a weekday here. You can find parking on the street or for your convenience there is paid parking right next to it ($15 for us a on a weekday, probably more on weekends). The place is very cute and will maintained and I love the added touch of fresh flowers on every table. They are dog friendly and we were able to dine inside with our pup. Our servers were very nice and answered all of our questions, they even gave my pup a treat. The food was delicious! Everything had good flavor. You can buy souvenirs at their restaurant too. Next time I'm back in Malibu I'll come again!

Salmon toast & breakfast burrito, iced latte and dirty chai latte

What a colorful menu! We were craving something hearty and fresh for breakfast, so that's exactly what they provided! Could have used a little more zest on my toast, but otherwise, the portions were great and kept us full for a while! Service was a little slow, but it was a busy Friday morning and the people wanted to be out. Either way, we were taken care of. Space was clean, patio was beautiful and shaded, views of the ocean were stunning.

Pretty good, but soooo expensive. My friend and I split the lobster pablano burrito. It came with a side or arugula and potatoes with this cinnamon cocktail tasting sauce. For the burrito itself it had lobster (lol of course), egg, and cheese (not sure if im missing other stuff). i loved how they were not stingy with the lobster. im not the biggest fan of lobster but this lobster was BUSSING. Prob the freshest tasting lobster ive had. But i genuinely cannot wrap my mind how it was $40 and like $50 including tax and tip which is lowkey insane for a burrito. Buttt i guess u are also paying for the views. The view was actually so nice. We got the patio seat and yes it was a bit sunny but so nice to see the ocean and the birds haha.

Vegan tacos (decent, not decadent, but I'm always grateful for any vegan option), and another dangerously-good Bloody Mary.

A total catch! I'd only previously experienced Malibu Farm Lido, thanks to my current OC residence, and I was immediately hooked by its fresh flavors, quality ingredients, and effortlessly chic vibe. So my expectations were already high going in. That said, Malibu Farm Pier--the original restaurant actually located on the Malibu Pier--somehow manages to be even more delightful, which feels almost impossible until you experience it. Park either along the street (free), or in the nearby lot (pay via app) across from the restaurant--but be forewarned that parking costs double on weekends. From the moment you arrive, the ocean views, salty breeze, and relaxed-yet-elevated atmosphere set the tone. The magnificent manager Oscar frequently peruses the premises, warmly welcoming guests while ensuring that everything runs swimmingly. Somehow, he makes everyone feel at home--even within a vacation setting. Phenomenal food forces me to return. I haven't even tried the vegan coconut curry here, which is my go-to order at their OC Lido location. Lately, I've been obsessed with the vegan tofu scramble. Bloody Marys at both spots are equally heated and heavenly. This is the kind of foodie fantasy where the setting enhances the flavors, the flavors match the view, and everything comes together in a way that feels both special and effortless. Truly a shore-thing if you're looking for pier-side perfection.

I liked the views and the vibe of the place. Was such a nice day! We were seated right away on a Friday afternoon. Service was great however I didn't really love any of the food. I found it pretty bland and nothing I would come back for again. The vanilla iced latte was great!

Checking the listing for this restaurant, It says the pier cafe is closed and it is but the restaurant at the entrance is open and so is the pier on the opposite side where you can dine al fresco. That said, the experience here was night and day from Marina del Rey. Beautiful atmosphere on the water and a low key chill vibe. No wait, we were seated right away. The menu was small but they specialize in farm to table. My group shared the Greek salad, the blue potatoe salad ( special for 4th of July) and the nachos. The presentation of the Greek salad was amazing and so were the ingredients. It included watermelon which I raised an eyebrow at but no, it all worked. Same with the potato salad. And the nachos, yes my friends, yes. Heading up or down the PCH- do pull over.

Breakfast burrito

First meal I had when visiting Malibu for the first time! Breakfast burritos is always the best way to go when you can't decide what to eat. Was not disappointed, salsa is really fresh and green. You come here for the ocean views and to enjoy the sunny weather.

This is truly one of my favorite brunch places in Los Angeles. This is also my go to cafe whenever we visit Malibu. It is at the very end of the pier. On our last visit, my husband got the breakfast burrito, I had the fried egg sandwich and we got our daughter the swedish mini pancakes. All were delicious. We also got to try the ube latte which tasted okay, the latte art was cute. Definitely a nice place or cafe to try when you're in Malibu.

We had an *amazing* time today celebrating Easter with our two boys. They organized everything so beautifully for the kids, had them decorate eggs, and offered delicious muffins--we had a blast. We love coming here!

Great atmosphere- we sat by the water. The service was friendly and the food was delicious.

11.22.24 - Surfers Ranchero - THE BEST!!!!
Anna L.

It was my first time here and I ordered Saurfera Ranchero. I must say it is THE BEST!!! I also loved the service here, the staff are friendly and they are quick. I was also able to speak with one of the hispanic lady cleaning the tables during my visit and she was the sweetest making sure I enjoyed my food and that I am enjoying the view since I was seated outside. The ambience was just breathtaking. Having brunch with an ocean view in a nice sunny perfect weather was just amazing and relaxing. The inside of the restaurant was cute too, had tables next to windows with view of the ocean but nothinb can beat the outside seating during a perfect Cali weather...I even went for a walk at the pier and took pictures after eating. I will definitely be back here and will take my 2 kids with me whom for sure will also enjoy the view...

My friend and I went to Malibu Pier for the first time today (after living here for four years, I know, I'm terrible) and discovered this little gem! Better late than never, right?! A line was building around Noon on a Saturday so heed caution and know you'll wait a little. It's so gorgeous though...waiting feels like bliss. You won't mind at all. We were kindly greeted and helped in taking our order. We were handed a number, then headed outside. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which was nice to have options. I love nothing more than an ocean breeze so we grabbed a cute table with a view overlooking the surfers doing their thing and beautiful light waves crashing into the Malibu coast. Items were brought out one by one as prepared, my personal favorite method. I was going to get a cold brew but I saw an entrancing Ube mocktail pic advertised while in line, that lived up to the photographic hype once I received it. My $17 Panini was so darn delicious, I absolutely loved it! It came with bacon, corn, and gruyere cheese on country white pressed bread. Best eaten while still hot & fresh, ofc. Nomz for days! I felt so at peace here eating my tasty panini and sipping my colorful drink. Good vibes all around and I'll be bringing my out~of~town friends for sure!

Is Malibu Farm & Cafe closed?

Malibu pier location is closed until gas line repairs are completed.

Where can i park and is there a parking fee, thank you?

Park on the street or in the beach parking lot just north of pier - There is a fee for the beach parking lot.

Do we need to make reservations?

Its counter service so no reservations

Hello, did this place ever had a Paella dish about 4 years ago? Thank you!!

Hi, Is parking easy to find on weekends? Thanks.

There's a parking lot next to the pier - around $10 or $15 dollar per entry. Alternatively you can try to find street parking.

Is outdoor seating open right now?

I went this past Saturday and it was open! Not sure if it changed!

Do we need a reservation to dine in?

When we went there we were kinda lucky because the waiter told us that waiting list was long. I would play it safe and make reservation if they take them otherwise try to get there before the rush.

Are they open on July 4? Just tried calling but no one answering.

How long do they serve breakfast on the weekdays?

I'm not quite sure. Just wanted to express this place is very relaxing and welcoming. Usual breakfast ends at 11:00am on weekdays don't quote me on it. Lol! Still I guarantee… Read more

Is it good for working? Is there free WiFi?

Vegan option ? Anything in desertt

Yes , they have. Just check the menu.

Thinking of doing a birthday brunch of some sort, is this place good for big groups?

Outside upstairs I'm not too sure but inside definitely not. There is one long table inside but since the inside is pretty small (cozy) you wouldn't have any privacy.

Is this dog friendly?

Yes, there's outdoor sitting upstairs where pets are allowed

Is it wheel chair accessible?

Yes, but not for the upstairs patio area.

Are there ACTUAL vegan options available? (As in, more than just steamed side dishes / dishes with no sauce or flavor?

No. There are not a lot besides what you listed.

Do you have bottomless mimosas?

They certainly do.

Am I able to take a cake for brunch?

yes you can!

How long is the wait on Sundays for brunch?

depends but I've waited for an hour before. They'll take your number and call/text you when your table is ready. The wait is longer if you eat at the location near the beginning of the pier. Towards the end, you order and seat yourself which is… Read more

I wasn't even aware they closed at 1:00 PM, but regardless, closing the doors before the posted time is unacceptable. There were at least 3-4 other cars and multiple people standing outside, clearly hoping they would still be let in. People drive 10-20 minutes to come here, only to find the store closed early. I'm not local, but I've visited this location a few times when I've been in the area. The local customers standing there were visibly disappointed. This is a very effective way to lose customers. The real issue is not just the hours -- it's the lack of care. Closing at 12:57 and then, when questioned, telling customers it was already 1:00 PM feels dishonest and dismissive. The employee's name was something like Manuel Arbitara, as far as I can remember. I would encourage the owners to review the camera footage and properly train their staff on customer service and professionalism. A secondary issue is the store hours themselves. Closing at 1:00 PM on weekdays may make sense if your customer base starts their day early, but weekend mornings are different -- people tend to get out later. Closing that early on weekends seems out of touch with customer behavior. And finally, the lack of alternatives in the area may be part of the problem. Competition tends to improve service. A good coffee shop nearby might encourage a more customer-focused attitude. We need a Verve Coffee in the area to show how it's done.

Today, it was Pura Vida in Malibu, located in the same commercial plaza as Madhappy / Pantry, Frankies Bikinis, Be Kind Studios (pilates), and a soon-to-be Wally's. I really liked Pura Vida because of it's "health and wellness" angle. In re-reviewing the menus here, I noticed several items that were over 1,000 calories - not quite as health-conscious as I remember, but I knew it had to be just as delicious. Thankfully, I was right. I had the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl which comes with a generous helping of avocado, cucumber, arugula, green onions / scallions, radish, spicy mayo, cilantro rice, and raw tuna. For about $35 with tax and tip, this was a rather hearty lunch that two people could easily share. I didn't mix it, as I prefer to eat ingredients separately, and received a soy ginger sauce on the side to complement the flavors. My friend opted for the Spicy Salmon Wrap, made with a specifically gluten-free wrap. That option comes with cooked salmon (which she found to be dry), edamame, carrots, avocado, and cilantro rice - as well as a side of fruit and the same soy ginger dressing/sauce I had. She wasn't wow'ed by the flavor, which may be because of the wrap, or the gluten-free nature of the preparation, or the salmon itself. The exterior patio seating is new, fun, and reminds me a bit of the La La Land coffee shop in Calabasas. Gorgeous place to have brunch or lunch outdoors and soak in some Malibu overcast. Service was efficient, personable, and polite. Plenty of staff to handle the crowd on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out quickly and tables were bussed in a timely manner. Free parking is available in the back lot, or else in the underground garage. There's also valet parking for $8 (all-day) toward the front.
