The tacos were great. I got chile verde and carne asada tacos. They included a few chips and beans, that was great. I stopped and got them to go before a long appt at Pomona valley hospital up the road. I was charged about $3.40 at the restaurant paid and got my tacos and was on my way. BUYER BEWARE PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS !! The man had asked me if I wanted my receipt and I should have said yes because they added extra charges. I was at the hospital up the street all day and needed a quick little snacky snack. Tacos sounded like a good idea so I came to Lily's. I ordered one carne asada and one pollo con todo. Then I took a seat and soaked in the ambiance because it felt a bit deja vu with the vinyl table cloths, people chatting in Spanish and Mexican tunes playing in the background. It finally hit me, it's circa 1970 something, and I am sitting in my grandma's kitchen in La Puente! But then I get nervous because my grandma was a terrible cook! I am snapped out of my mini dining crisis when my tacos quickly arrive at the table, and they are beautiful! Every bite had the perfect proportion of meat, onions, cilantro and chile. Super delicious, and not at all like my grandma's cooking (sorry grandma, RIP! When I see you again, we'll have some wine!) So I was really debating between giving this place 3 or 4 stars but I went with 3. As you can see, I ordered a bacon and egg breakfast burrito and there is hardly and bacon or egg, mostly beans and potato. The burrito had a good flavor but it was pretty much missing what I actually ordered. I will say though that the gentleman who was working there was very pleasant and brought out the order really fast, which is why I wanted to give it 4 stars. The dining area was very clean and plenty of room to sit if you want to dine in. Overall, I don't think I will be going back for breakfast. Maybe lunch? We'll see. read more

January 15, 2024. Not bad but definitely not great. Never been to this Liliy's location. Came here tonight for the first time. Disappointing. I used to go to the Lily's in La Verne (across from Brake Masters on Foothill) all the time. Food was so much better there. Sadly that location closed a few years ago around 2019 or so. Had a combo burrito here tonight. Chicken, beans and rice. Chicken was shredded dark meat chicken. No thanks. The Lily's that was in La Verne, if you got that same burrito there, it was white meat chicken and it was diced in small pieces. Diced and not shredded is 1000 times better and healthier. Not to mention better flavor. Shredded chicken, you never know exactly what's mixed in with it. No thanks. It's easier and cheaper for them shredded like that but that compromises the food quality. No thanks. I doubt I will come back to this location again. Very disappointed. read more

I came to this place with high hopes of fulfilling my craving for a breakfast burrito. I got 2 burritos, the potato & egg burrito and the bacon & egg burrito. I cannot say I liked either because they mostly consisted of beans. There was not a lot of filling besides beans. Luckily, I was able to order one burrito without beans and that one was more enjoyable. If I was to order a breakfast burrito again, I would ask for no beans.
