Very disappointed with the service here. I phoned them before hand to order the ginger chicken stir fry and was told it would be 5 to 10 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later to find they hadn't even put my order in....so I waited there for 10 minutes while it was cooked only to find when I arrived home there was no chicken in it! Just vegetables. The restaurant wasn't even busy so I'm not sure why these mistakes were made, it had no more than 3 people eating there at the time. read more

Their fried rice and pad thai are delicious! Learned a couple of visits in that you can adjust your spice levels - I do a +1 now and that really boosts the flavors, too! I was told that this place was amazing so I tried it but I was disappointed. I went there for dinner and had one of their curry dishes. I did not really like the taste and it was much more expensive than other thai restaurants in the area. Also, the service was slow. My food took over 45 minutes to come and there was only two other tables with people. Maybe I just caught them on an off day but I do not plan to come here again. read more

I've been Lime Leaf twice since moving to Spartanburg. First time, I ordered the Pad Thai, it was delicious. Second visit, I ordered the Garlic Shrimp and Sea Scallops with a side of rice, again excellent. Each visit we had the same server, with excellent and extremely fast service. I heard good things but, it's dark - portion size changes at lunch, dinner, is expensive, is close in inside, dark, feels upscale. I have ordered carry out from here. It was bland. I'd recommend Noodle House a few doors down the street. read more

This is our 2nd time to Lime Leaf, and we absolutely adore the restaurant. It is very well decorated and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is very inviting and peaceful. The menu is very large, and there are a lot of gluten free options for those with allergies or preferences. The food is delicious!!! I had the Panang Curry and it was to die for. Just had an awful experience with lime leaf customer service. After being sent home with the wrong take out order, we called back and the blonde male host was extremely rude. When we came back to switch out the orders (they certainly had intentions of reselling the food) he was extremely rude and made no attempts to rectify the situation. He made it clear that he thought the switch up was our fault even though he had handed us the wrong order. The food is decent but is over priced and not worth dealing with such aggressive workers. I'm going to give this a 5. We had the lime leaf duck and the gang massamon, both of which were superb. Enjoyed the chicken satay appetizer. The decor is just phenomenal. The food, in addition to being delicious, is also artistically arranged. Great service from friendly servers. Reasonable prices. My only minor criticism is the dessert menu has just one Thai item on it--banana and sticky rice--and needs more choices such as black rice, ginger or coconut icecream, etc. I'm curious if their other restaurant up in Hendersonville, NC, is as good. read more

Nice little surprise when we were recently in Spartanburg. The Coconut Chicken was delicious and the Pad Thai was awesome. Lunch specials come with soup and a spring roll. They do close early around 3, but we're willing to take us even though we showed up just before closing. We will definitely be back! read more

Holy Cow! Here in Spartanburg on business and was lucky to end up at Lime Leaf for dinner. This is the best Thai restaurant I've eaten at, hands down. The staff is wonderful and the food is beyond belief! Their mango with sticky rice blew my freakin' mind, and the pad see ew is the best version of this dish I've tasted...full of flavor and not greasy or oily at all. Top notch. read more

Lime leaf has some of the best massaman curry I have ever has. It is a delicate balance of spiciness with a creamy coconut sweetness to balance it out. I found that there wasn't quite enough rice served on the side with the dish as I like to take a portion and eat it with a bite of rice like in East Asia. I also has the crispy duck, which was also delicious. This restaurant is a true gem in what is an otherwise unremarkable town when it comes to fine dining. read more

Pro: clean. Cons: expensive, bland, shrimp soup had literally three tiny shrimp. Orange chicken was all breaking no chicken. We asked for jasmine tea from special menu they didn't have it, so we asked for the green tea and they didn't have it either. We left hungry. Save your time and money and don't go. read more

As a vegetarian, Thai is one of my favorite go-to options for flavorful dishes. I was VERY disappointed by Lime Leaf. While the atmosphere & location are nice, everything I ate was VERY BLAND & boring. I asked for "very spicy", but when my dish arrived, I'd say it was only a "1" on a scale of 1 to 10. The flavor wasn't any better - a mushy tofu drowning in a soupy flavorless curry. My husband is not nearly as picky as I am, and he was unimpressed as well. Incredibly disappointing experience, especially for the priced. If you are a fan of Thai food in general (and I mean TRUE, authentic, spicy Thai food), then the Lime Leaf is NOT your place. P.S. If you haven't had the pleasure of eating here you are truly missing out! Their food is the best in 3 states (at least)!! I should know because we travel quite a bit! The owners are so very nice and amazing! However, I'd like to showcase how these wonderful people go above and beyond! My husband was home sick and I was out of town and the only thing he wanted to eat was Lime Leaf! Obviously because their food is so so good? I called and explained our situation! Even though they don't normally personally deliver, I was grateful that they accommodated me (and my sick husband) and actually made a special trip to deliver him some food! It is that kind of exceptional customer service you just don't get anymore! Please try Lime Leaf that share! For the record this is actually my first yelp review ever...
