Tried this place while in Ennis. It is just like Weinberger's in Grapevine, but different in small ways. The best of which is the actual volume of room that you have here. Had an Italian beef with cheese mild and sweet. This was virtually identical to the location in Grapevine. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the mood for a good sandwich. A note to Mr. Limerick. It might be worth mentioning the various ways that one can order the Italian beef as it is definitely the best sandwich. I have to say, I've never been much of a sandwich person, but Limerick's changed all of that. My husband has always loved sandwiches, and so when Limerick's came to town, I had to take him there, and now I'm hooked as well. Probably one of the most original concepts I've seen in a long time. I'm not a big fan of sandwich chains like Subway, Jimmy John's, etc. However, the menu at LSJ is exceptional with options ranging from your simplistic yet satisfying Rueben to their tantalizing Muffuletta. Definitely nothing like your sandwich chain shops. Wonderful owner. Great atmosphere and aesthetic. Really love the concept and location. Hoping to keep coming back every time we're in Texas! Best Reuben sandwich I have ever had! I will generally look for a Reuben on a sandwich shop's menu and then gauge the restaurant on that sandwich. It was loaded with corned beef, the perfect amount of sauerkraut and swiss cheese, with the right amount of thousand island dressing. But what set it apart was the grilled marble rye. It held its own, stayed crispy, never got soggy, flavorful from the first bite to the last. My wife had "Diane's Club" and it did not disappoint. The honey sriracha mustard was amazing! (She let me sample a bite). Nice touch adding the avocado. My son had the Cubano sandwich "Medianoche". Holy Crap!! It was amazing! Spicy and very tasty. The only suggestion I offer to make the experience better - open a restaurant closer to my home. A "must visit" destination for the folks near Ennis and definitely us traveling through the area! read more
