This really is a 3.5 but opted for the benefit of the doubt. The daily specials on food are normally what I go for. I live right around the corner and during the week cheap eats get my attention. I have been here plenty of times, but had to laugh when I was carded today. Good for them for following the rules - but come on. I am balding and had a grey 3 day old beard. Cutting to the chase; this place has above average bar food, and a decent beer selection. Only place on Lincoln that offers pool and the staff is always nice. Had the luxury of sitting outside on a perfect summer evening. Today my buddy and I had the wings special for .40 cents and that is well worth it. Had the sliders last time and they are only a buck... you get the point. Not sure many joints in town offer these great of prices for food that is above average (not knock it out of the park food - but for the price - it is really tough to complain.) read more

My dad and I have been coming here since the Stanley Cup Playoffs kicked off this year. Friendly staff, plenty of TVs, and a great environment (good music!) make Lincoln Station my dad and my favorite place to sit down and watch the game. The only con is the selection can seem a little pricey if you're not careful what you order, but if you take advantage of their daily specials, you can make for a great night out. Ordered California chicken club. Stopped eating less than halfway (The chicken tasted more fake than "natural"). The only thing I liked about it was the avocado. Gave it to husband to finish the rest and he said the same thing-- did not like it at all so we threw majority of sandwich away. Hate to waste it but just couldn't eat it. French fries were way tooooo salty. I felt sick after leaving this bar. On the other hand, one extra star for very nice customer service (I never told her how awful the sandwich tasted because didn't want any replacement). read more

I went here with two friends and it was not packed at all. Only a few people at the bar and a two tables filled for dining. After ordering our burgers, we proceeded to wait 4 minutes for them. In between waiting for them, we asked the waiters about our food TWICE and they said that it will come soon, which it didnt. We finally got our burgers and they looked delicious. I got the Drillinger(?) and the The chicken burger with avacado adn ranch dressing. The Drillinger was good the meat was juicy and it was an average diner style burger, honestly nothing special. The chicken burger was okay because the chicken was actually dry. Good thing they have a side of ranch dressing, otherwise I would have hated it. They give a lot of fries, which I wished were crispier, but whatever. The service was horrible. Please find a better place to go read more

I've been here several times, but have never took the time to write a review. Casual and relaxed spot with great food, friendly/knowledgeable staff, and amazing beers on tap that you can't get just anywhere. I stopped in last week with two friends for dinner and drinks. They had bored games (we chose Life) to keep us entertained on a busy Thursday night and decent music. Our server Taylor was fantastic! Knowledgeable, funny, and despite being very busy (she was taking care of several large groups at the same time), she still somehow made us feel very welcome and just as important. I had the chicken fingers and sweet potato fries, my friend had the California chicken sandwich, and my boyfriend had the loaded breakfast baked potato. Will be back again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a casual and fun spot. read more

Stopped here for a couple drinks before heading to Las Tablas for dinner. It was just an OK bar, but the waitstaff and bartenders were great. Jill took care of us for the couple of hours we were there. Beer list was decent. Hot wings were just ok. They have outside seating which I like and it was warm enough to sit out there on saturday afternoon. After desperately walking around the neighborhood before a show at Lincoln Hall, we decided on Lincoln Station, as it a) was open, b) had a fairly comprehensive menu, and c) had people in it. We ended up enjoying ourselves, it was a low-key place to crash and re-charge after a long day out and about in Chicago. The environment is relaxed/sports bar/college town, but it works in it's own way. We scoped out the menu and ordered some wings, the grilled cheese, and one of the stuffed baked potatoes (an entire menu section devoted to them - something i've never seen before.) The Poutine caught my interest, and it was good - but definitely could have used the addition of some pulled pork or something meaty. Lincoln Station is a solid 3.5 for me. Where I deduct from them is just having pint glasses when they have a diverse beer list. It seems like they are aiming at a knowledgeable beer crowd, so it was a little frustrating only drinking from pint glasses when I ordered a pilsner and a saison. Anyway, I dug the general vibe here. I was in the front area in the late afternoon, so around happy hour time. It was far from crowded but I can see how it would be later at night. Cool vibe on the whole with pool tables and some very big screen TVs. I only looked at what was available on draft, but it was a nice and diverse selection. It was midwest based too which is always something that puts a smile on my face. I also made sure to get some food. I definitely could've ordered more of the sliders, but I didn't and that was my mistake. I got a cheddar and a mushroom+swiss slider. I'm normally partial to mushroom+swiss, so that was naturally the one I liked more. But, both were really good and @ the special price of $1 a slider I was extremely happy. The service was pretty easy and nice. Granted it was 5pm on a wednesday, but there was still a decent crowd there already. I'd definitely go back to lincoln station. I do wish they had proper glassware for the beers, but in the end it didn't take away from the fact that it's a real solid place to grab a good brew. read more

This place is great, but couldn't bring myself to give it 4 stars. $5 tequila shots will get me into any bar, and this one just so happened to be better than most other bars that are in that price range. They've got tons of tv's for the sports fanatics, a door that fakes all the newbie's out and great window panes so you can watch people struggle only to realize they have to go to the OTHER door, and decent bar food. The worst service I've ever had. The waitress was extremely inattentive and mixed up our bills. The food was mediocre.

Unless you're a Sabres or Bills fan, or maybe a hockey fan in general (usually empty enough to get your game on) and like watching games on smallish TVs, the primary reason to go here is the buffalo wings. They're not the best wings I've ever had, but are in the top quartile. They're cooked just about right, but the sauce is great... and they give you blue cheese in a large enough (and flexible enough) cup to actually use the whole thing without having to try to jam a wing into mini-cup in which it will not go. Other than the wings though, well, they have beer. And usually open table, at least on the random nights I go there to watch hockey. Overall, a decent sports bar with decent food and better wings. As for the crowd, I'm not really sure, again... I'm there for the hockey/wings on what must be off-nights. read more

Really awesome veggie burger, not the typical black bean burger. The blazin buffalo wings were super delicious, especially if you enjoy a subtle heat build. I don't normally write reviews but the veggie burger was a wonderful surprise and delicious. A recommendation would be to order it with teriyaki sauce as an alternative, I'm sure that would hit it out of the park. 10/10 coming back again. Super great service and delectable food! read more

Normally my one of my go to places in Lincoln park. Awesome cheese fries, great potatoes, friendly staff. Today was unfortunately very different. Waitress was very inattentive. Mentioned she was busy, which is more than understandable but never bothered to do more than a quick "you guys ok ?" And hurry away. As someone in the industry, being busy is more than ok but that's not a reason to completely ignore a table. Had to ask a bunch for water and it took well over a half hour to order our meals. Everything came out cold and tasted very off. 2 stars instead of 1 because of years of great experience but this makes me hesitant to ever go back. read more

My girlfriend and I moved into this area around six months ago and were bar hopping to find a nice bar to casually go to, and this place hit the spot. First overall impression was that it was an "okay". We loved the pool at first and it was reasonably priced. After a few times we made friends with a couple workers and have loved it ever since. The people are great to talk to and always on top of their service, although there is one waitress that seems to not see us when we are there or forgets she is our server...I haven't figured that out yet. Drinks are are reasonably priced for the area, lots of TV's to watch all the games going on too. Two pools tables are pretty crowded when there's quite a few people there, but nothing to bad. The friendliness of the people there is what wins me over on this bar. read more

As a DePaul grad student, I don't spend too much time just hanging around campus because I live and work elsewhere. However, when I do find myself here and in need of some place to kill time or grab a beer with classmates, Lincoln Station seems to be the place to do it. The prices are low enough, there's specials a few days of the week, the menu is pretty big and the food is decent. I think LS is trying hard to be one of those places that does "fancy" bar food, but they have small plates and other apps for sharing which is good if you're with a group. They accommodate large groups and always have games playing, so this could be a great place to go catch up on sports with friends. I'll always come back here for a drink after our really late evening classes since there's always a table and the service is quick. read more

I usually despise Lincoln Park, but surprisingly this bar was okay. Perhaps it was because it was not very busy, and our group of six made up about a fourth of the whole bar. Either way, I had a good time. The pitchers of Miller Lite were insanely cheap, so we had a few of those. This is a great bar/restaurant and concert hall. I've seen a few acts here and love it every time I go. The food is good and reasonably priced. For the concerts, there's a standing area and balcony seating. On the balcony, there is waitstaff for drinks and food. The tickets are also reasonably priced. I usually spend about $20 to see a show here and a few times I've gotten to meet the artist after the show. I love this place! read more

Spent another great night at Lincoln Station. It is definitely the best place for Thursday happy hour in the Fullerton/Halsted area. Can't beat the $2 miller lite and blue moons and $3 guiness pints. I've gone twice. Once was ok, decent service but beer was warmish. Ok beer list and decent prices, they also made a simple drink for us that wasn't on the menu. Second time almost nobody in the bar, a couple bartenders and servers. Nobody came to our table for 10 minutes so I ordered at the bar. Bartender was rude, didn't acknowledge my order and the second bartender just stood back there. Waited a few minutes and left so bartender finally tried to hurry and make our drinks. There is nothing special about LS if you haven't tried their spicy barbeque (one of half a dozen flavors) wings, and their chips with queso and beef. Obviously, it doesnt take a culinary master to concoct these, but that doesnt mean I dont love every second of eating them. I like LS for what it is: an average sports bar. And when we sent back our spud bc it wasn't what we ordered, they sent back the same one over cooked with new toppings. And the manager was no where to be seen.
