Back for round 2 and Wilde was even better than I remembered! We visited near St. Patrick's Day, so things were even more festive and busy than usual. Every time I visit, the decor never ceases to impress. It's classy but unpretentious and you can tell folks are there to have a good time. We arrived at about 8:30pm on a Saturday and it was packed. Luckily, we were able to snag seats at a bar before a table opened up around 9pm. A note that they don't take reservations (but I kind of wish they did!), so this isn't the place to go if you're in a rush. They had a special seasonal menu going for the holiday, and we started with the reuben hush puppies. While they were more like croquettes, they were extra crispy, cheesy, and juicy with the most delicious thousand island dressing. I wish they would offer this year round! For mains, we ordered the corned beef and buddha bowl. I really liked the horseradish aioli that came with the beef- while the meat could've been more tender, it had a great flavor overall. The cabbage actually tasted pickled and the carrots sweet; non-traditional, but tasty! The buddha bowl had a very wide range of veggies and perfectly cooked rice. I could drink that spicy peanut sauce. I appreciated how large the portions were, which definitely softened the price as we left with plenty of leftovers. All in all, we had a great experience- if you haven't checked Wilde out, I highly recommend doing so!

We were out and about in Lincoln Park on a Saturday and walked by Wilde. I looked pretty happening, so we stopped in for a drink. Well, we ended up having two drinks and an order of fried cheese curds and an order of Ruben Quiche. We hit their last hour of brunch. I also had an Irish coffee and my wife had a campfire martini before we each had a Manhattan. Service was friendly and the food and drinks were excellent. The place was busy when we got there and busy when we left, so they're doing something right.

I'm a big fan, the place has a great vibe during Christmas and the food is warming. We tried: - Ellsworth Cheese Curds - Backyard BBQ Ribs (1/2 slab) - Baked French Onion Soup - Haddock Sandwich - Fish & Chips The food was great, no complaints. We were sat in the "library" section so the table was a bit low. I saw some people hanging out and just reading a book with a drink, which was a choice and I respect it. If you are looking for fish, I'd suggest the fish & chips over the sandwich, it was just a bit too much bread.

Super cozy spot with lots to look at. Gorgeous ceilings and wonderful booths all around. We came in a little before 2pm and they still served brunch! It was pretty loud but service was friendly and food came quickly. I started with a bloody mary garnished with cheese and pepperoncini. It was delicious and well mixed! I was surprised to see that it came with a "little buddy" beer sidecar! My friend liked her mimosa and loved the heart shaped strawberry garnish. Our food was really great, everything tasted fresh and I was amazed by the perfectly circular poached eggs. Well house-made hollandaise and the smoked salmon was good. Recommend the cheesy grits! My friend's potato's were very good with caramelized onions and they liked the eggs but could've used more peppers or herbs. They were impressed with their sausage. We left super satisfied and the conversation makes itself in this interesting building.

Went to this restaurant around on Monday at 8 pm and it was decently empty, the ambiance was nice it's the books and old feel and our waitress was very nice and helpful. I got the meatloaf which I heard was supposed to be one of their better dishes but it ended up being not too tasty. The gravy really overpowered the meatloaf taste so it was basically just gravy tasting meat, I couldn't even finish it. Another person in my group got a chicken salad and it wasn't that good either. It could be just those two dishes but experience was alright

My friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday! Everything we had was delicious. I had the mango chile margarita and the classic burger. We also shared the cheese curds which were or in your mouth goodness!

Look Wilde is an institution on Lakeview East for a reason. Nothing but the best quality cuts of meats and veggies smothered in butter or Cheese or both if they can get away with. Portions are Huge. The Asian chicken salad will easily feed two(no butter or cheese). The dressing subtle, did not overwhelm this dish ensemble. Lobster mac & cheese is back in their special menu. Do I really have to tell you to take it? It's really cheesy and rich. All my previous review stands. Five Stars.

I love the decorations and vibe inside. The food is good, but nothing special. The service was alright, not bad but not outstanding. It was a busy Friday night and we were taken care of.

Ambiance is single-handedly the best way to describe this restaurant. It's like a Frank Sinatra disguised as a restaurant. Love the seating options in here, and the wait staff are rockstars. First time having Brussel sprouts here and I was pleasantly surprised, they're amazing here! Loved the chicken wrap and Sean loved the pot pie (his favorite). We both love espresso martinis and this one was great!

The Wilde Bar & Restaurant was a great spot for a Friday night gay friendly vibe! The restaurant is huge so it can accommodate any type of situation (friends, family, work). Our service was very good and the overall vibe was super friendly, fun and had a great Friday fun vibe. All of our food options were very tasty and I'd recommend going back to this restaurant.

I came here for dinner! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is Irish pub themed, so think dark brown wood and leather seats. The three of us were seated in a wraparound booth, so I liked that type of seating. I ordered the blackened chicken club, which was around $18. The onions, lettuce, avocado, and chicken tasted really fresh! I just thought the bread crust and bacon were too crispy.

Although the food was quite good, and the service was perfect, it was almost impossible to have a conversation because it was so loud in there !

Warm and lovely British pub with delicious pies and efficient service…read more My dining partner and I tried the mushroom and kale and the rocking vegan pies. The mushroom and kale pie was nice and cheesy and the rocking vegan pie was more savoury, with a variety of vegetables and chickpeas as stuffing. The crust was neither too soft nor too crunchy. The highlight of the meal was the curry chips: potato wedges lightly fried with masala and curry leaves. The dipping sauce that came with the chips reminded me of tikka masala sauce, and paired beautifully with the chips. Dessert was toffee pudding: the caramel sauce that came with the pudding was delectable - the pudding itself was excellent and not overly sweet. We tried a variety of NA beers, and I was pleased with how many options they had. Service was quick, and we were well looked after. The ambiance is warm, with dim-ish lighting and a lot of dark wood. The restrooms were gorgeous - special shoutout to the lovely floral wallpaper. Overall, I highly recommend Pleasant House - the vibe is chill and understated and the food is stellar.

The sausage was very tasty, the breading on the outside was incredibly crisp, light, and the egg inside was cooked well. Both the steak pie and the chicken pie were very good. The chicken pie I think really needed the chutney that you can get separately. But that made it so much better and made it my preferred pie. The steak and ale pie was better than the chicken pie as a standalone, but needed a bit more gravy I think to elevate it. Sticky toffee pudding again was delicious. Surprisingly light, not overly dense so I was glad it came with the custard which was very flavorful. Overall, will definitely return!

The decor is straight from the 60s or 70s. The menu has something for everyone from ribs to prime rib to burgers. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. The food was good. Our only one issue is the waiter told us the lamb chop special was gone so my husband ordered the pork chops but what was served were lamb chops. He ate them so we didn't say anything to the waiter but it was strange because the bill listed lamb chops not pork chops. Maybe they weren't gone after all? Over all I'll be keeping Miller's Pub in mind when we need somewhere to go for dinner or lunch and don't necessarily want fast food or the latest hot restaurant.

This is a nice, cozy restaurant and bar, and they really go all out with the decorations during the holidays. We ordered the special (haddock) and the clam chowder. The food was a bit hit or miss. The clam chowder was watery and came out lukewarm. The entrée was much better, the haddock was amazing hot, fresh, and crispy! Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was also lukewarm, although the fries were piping hot. We've been here many times before, especially during the holidays, and it has never disappointed us. Maybe this was just an off night, with some of the dishes not coming out as hot or fresh as they should have been. We'll come back and give it another try the next time we're in the area.

Amazing that fun isn't always beers and chugging. The food is actually good and can be talked about in reviews because some people actually come here to eat, which tells you how they actually have a kitchen. Believe everything is good here but we came for the beers of course. It's certainly the main product made here so why wouldn't it be important. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone. It's located at the intersection of Jackson and Wabash close to lots of fun. The brewery has food that's better than expected but many other things about this kind of stuff are typical.
